Chenle's P.O.V

My arms curled around Jueun's upper arm as we searched every part of the first level for Haechan. We tried to follow Mi-Cha, Jaemin, Hana, and Jisung for a while, but soon separated because it's easy to get lost in a crowd. We squeezed out of the mass to search more isolated areas.

I started to feel a little less panicky being close to Jueun. She let me hang onto her arm without complaining, which really helped. Jueun would even ask me every now and then if I was doing okay. I would nod and continue to walk with her.

"Chenle, if you want to try and sit somewhere with more people, you can. I won't make you continue walking around if you don't want to." Jueun stopped walking to talk to me.

I shook my head. "I'm fine."

"Really? You're kind of hanging on me. Not that I'm bothered by it, it's cute, but-" Jueun cut off. Her lips pinched together in surprise. "Don't take that in a weird way."

My heartbeat began to race from her comment.

     "Chenle? Jueun?"

I broke our eye contact to face Haechan. Most of the costume make-up had been wipe off of his face and his even got rid of his jacket.

"Where the hell have you been?" Jueun demanded. She stomped up to him, pushing a finger to his shoulder. "We're in the middle of a crisis, and you disappear and scare us to death."

Haechan held up his hands in defense. "I'm sorry. I went to cool off, then everyone started to come downstairs. I just got caught up in the crowd. I was trying to find the group, but it's a little hard to when you're being pushed around by screaming people."

"I'm sure they're back with the water and samurai sword by now," Jueun put in. "We should head back to the stairs and try and scout them out."

     "Samurai sword?" Haechan questioned.

Jueun sighed, walking off while dragging me behind her with one hand around my forearm. "You would've known why if you weren't being such a stubborn asshole."

Haechan's P.O.V

At the stairs, we found G-Dragon lying at the bottom, holding his knee like he just fell on it. Ten and Johnny were coming down, holding up Hyunji on either side. Hyunji's tights had been ripped in many places. Dark red was oozing out of the cuts while every step seemed to be filled with pain.

"Oh, God, Hyunji." I stepped in front of both Chenle and Jueun. Hyunji's jaw was tensed as the three of them came to a stop. "What happened to you?"

Despite her condition, Hyunji began to grin with a cocky mien. "What? Are you worried about me?"

"Do you have the water?" a guy asked while quickly pacing up to our huddle.

"Yes," Johnny confirmed. "Haechan, can you take this?" Both Johnny and Ten moved towards me and dumped Hyunji into my arms. I quickly wrapped an arm around her waist while she had one over my shoulders. I had a bad feeling about her cuts and hoped that she would be fine.

"Are you okay?" I quietly asked.

"Just peachy," she replied through clenched teeth. "By the way, how are Meaty Yuries, or how ever you say it, created?"

"Meitei Yurei," The guy corrected in Japanese. "They come from kids with parents that have drinking problems. Since the kids are often ignored when their parents are drunk, that's when the kids are in their weakest. So, as a ghost, that's also when they're weakest because you can see them."

Mark and Soomi burst through a group of strangers, holding a samurai sword with an antique looking cover. "Hey," Mark breathed. "Have you guys seen Renjun and Jeno?"

"No," Jueun answered. "But we found Haechan."

Soomi gasped when her eyes fell on Hyunji's legs. "What happened?"

"Don't worry about it." Hyunji shifted uncomfortably. "It would be great if I could find somewhere to sit."

Thinking quickly, I picked up Hyunji by sliding my arm under her legs like a bridal style. I stayed extra cautious of the wounds. There was a desk built in next to the stairs I sat her on to get her off of her feet and so I could check her cuts.

"I see Mi-Cha, Jaemin, Hana, and Jisung!" Chenle called out. "Guys, we're over here!" He waved his arms while jumping above the ocean of people. "Oh, Renjun and Jeno just got out of the maze!"

"Thank goodness," Mark muttered when they all made it to our group. "Jeno, what took you guys so long? Did you get lost? Why do you look so worn out?"

I turned to see Jeno and Renjun standing next to each other. Their hair was unkempt and their faces were flushed. "Uh, Jeno hesitated. "A lot of running. The dead ends kept getting us."

     Renjun nodded in agreement.

"We need to get the Shinto blessing done now." Johnny declared. He took the samurai sword from Mark's hands while giving the guy the water bottle. "Here, Yuta. Do you have the blessing memorized?"

The guy Johnny referred to as Yuta huffed a laugh while pulling out his phone. "No, but I can read it online."

As Yuta read the Japanese text from his phone, he carefully poured the water over the sword. Dancing Halloween lights reflected off the shine.

G-Dragon was finally back on his feet, now holding the side of his head like he had a massive headache. When he looked up, his painful expression went blank. A cry left him as he began yelling at the people near the door.

"Stop!" he yelled. "Don't go near the entrance!"

A couple of other people joined him in his demands, but no one would listen. A lean looking man along with a couple of other people began to drag the dead man's body away from the locked barn door.

Yuta briefly looked toward the commotion, but quickly continued the task at hand.

"We're gonna get out of this madhouse!" the skinny guy cried. "Or else we'll all die!"

     "Really, you can't do that!"

It was too late for the people to listen to G-Dragon's warning. All three people moving the dead man were thrown back. The lean guy was the most ill-fated. His body was thrown back against a wooden banister. His neck snapped back in an unnatural position and limply fell to the ground.

The crowd raised an uproar, freaking out more than before. There was pushing, shoving, blood-curdling screaming, and the separation of our group. To save myself from getting separated from Hyunji, I picked her up from the table and pushed my own way through the crowd to find an isolated area for her to be safe in.
