Durga Parsad: "How dare you blackmailing your Bade Papa Sanskar?!"

Sanskar: "You can do that with your own son so..."

Durga Parsad angrily glared at him.

Sanskar looked at Ragini and Laksh: "Don't you think it will better if you leave them?"

Durga Parsad: "Sanskar I didn't want to do this but you're forcing me..."

He eyed to a goon who stepped towards Sanskar and raised an hockey stick to hit him.

Ragini: "Sanskar!"

Laksh was about to step towards him but the goons tightened their grip over his wrists.

The goon was about to hit Sanskar when the latter held the hockey stick with his hand and pushed the goon away.

Sanskar looked at Durga Parsad: "I forgot giving you one information Bade Papa. The recording and the pictures have been sent to someone and right now I'm connected with that person in a call. If anything happens to me, Ragini or Laksh then it won't take time for that someone to send the pictures and recording directly to the police. And of course I won't tell you the name of that person so you won't be able to harm him or her and we can use these proves against you in the future as well."

He recalled sending the recordings and the pictures to Swara.

Durga Parsad gritted his teeth and signed to his goons to leave Ragini and Laksh glaring angrily at Sanskar.

Ragini rushed to Laksh who surrounded her with his arms and placed a hand on her cheek asking her: "Are you fine?"

Ragini nodded and hugged him.

Durga Parsad looked at them angrily and was about to go when...

Sanskar: "Bade Papa I'm not done yet..."

Durga Parsad: "What else is left to say now?"

Sanskar looked at Ragini and Laksh and then down. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath looking then again at Durga Parsad.

Sanskar: "You'll go to Ragini's place to ask for her hand for Laksh tomorrow itself."

Ragini and Laksh looked at each other and then at Durga Parsad who was fuming due to anger.

Sanskar: "Or else you know what may happen..."

Durga Parsad was very angry but he didn't have any other option so he just nodded and glared at RagLak saying with gritted his teeth: "Fine. You can't understand what is good for your brother and what not and you're coming in my way. If you want to ruin Laksh's life then go ahead."

With this he went away followed by the goons.

Sanskar smiled a bit and looked at Ragini and Laksh who went to him.

Ragini: "I don't know how to thank you Sanskar."

Sanskar: "How many times do I have to remind you the most important rule of friendship? No sorry and no thank you between us." – He smiled to Ragini and then looked at Laksh who was looking at him with teary eyes.

Sanskar: "Can you forgive me now Lucky?"

Laksh smiled between his tears and just hugged Sanskar.

Laksh: "I am sorry Bhai... I said so much to you without thinking once! I am really sorry!"

Sanskar: "Can you guys please stop this game of thank you and sorry? I'm not enjoying it at all!"– he said hugging Laksh back.

Ragini smiled looking at them.

Sanskar and Laksh broke the hug.

Sanskar: "Let's go home now, there is a lot of preparation to do for tomorrow! Come on guys, I solved such a big problem of yours so please give me a smile at least!"

The three laughed together.

Laksh: "Ok then Bhai, you go home, I'll drop Ragini and come!"

Sanskar nodded and smiled patting on Laksh's shoulder with a hand.

He looked at Ragini.

Ragini: "You are really a great friend Sanskar."

She stepped towards him but Sanskar immediately turned around.

Sanskar's eyes welled up but he smiled and said: "This is nothing. I can do anything for my brother and my best friend."

With this he left towards his car while Ragini looked at him from behind furrowing her eyebrows. She had felt something strange in his voice.

Sanskar went away.

Ragini was in her thought when suddenly Laksh hugged her from behind and placed his chin on Ragini's shoulder. Ragini returned in reality and smiled.

Ragini: "Laksh! What are you doing?!"

Laksh had a large smile on his face. He lifted her up while surrounding her belly with his arms and twirled on himself.

Laksh: "I am so happy Ragini! Finally we'll be one! I love you Ragini! I LOVE YOU!"

He shouted while his voice echoed in the empty parking area.

Ragini felt few drops of water on her face. She looked up and realized that it has started to rain. She placed her hands on Laksh's ones which were still on her waist and shouted shutting her eyes while drops of rain fell on them: "I LOVE YOU TOO LAKSH!"

The two laughed whole heartly and their laughter echoed in the air. They were truly happy together. Laksh was feeling the most happy person right then as he had Ragini in his arms and no worries ahead.

"Hum tere bin abh reh nehi sakte,

What's my existence beyond you?")

Laksh placed Ragini down and as soon as she turned towards him, he hugged her as tightly as he could. Their bodies were pressed against each other and the rain was wetting them, but they were so lost in their love that they had forgotten everything else. Ragini closed her eyes hiding herself in his chest. She was feeling happy and safe in Laksh's embrace.

"Hum tere bin abh reh nehi sakte,

What's my existence beyond you?")

Laksh moved his hand from Ragini's back to her cheek while they slowly parted a bit keeping their forehead merged to each other. Both had their eyes still closed.

("If I go away from you,
Then I'll be away from myself...")

Laksh removed the black blazer he was wearing and covered their heads with it while coming closer to Ragini.

("Because it's only you, now it's only you,
Now it's only you who is my life...")

Laksh put his hands on Ragini's jaws and then finally placed her lips on hers ones leading to a passionate kiss.

The scene got blurred.

ON THE OTHER SIDE

Sanskar entered in Maheshwaris Mansion. He was all wet as outside it was raining. He was looking down. There was pain in her eyes. His tears were hidden by the rain drops on his face.

Sanskar was about to go towards his room when also Durga Parsad entered in the house and glared angrily at him. Sanskar looked at him with no expressions on his face.

Durga Parsad: "You can do whatever you want Sanskar but I won't let Laksh marry that girl."

Sanskar: "Ragini will be the daughter-in-law of this house and that's my promise to you."

Durga Parsad gritted his teeth and left from there.

Sanskar looked on and saw Annapurna and Sujata standing in front of him.

Annapurna: "Sanskar..."

Sanskar: "You can stop worrying now Badi Mom. Laksh's happiness is back now because I have removed the biggest thorn in his path. Laksh will tell you everything once he'll be home. Just be ready tomorrow. We are going to Ragini's house to ask her hand and nobody has anything to say against it."

Annapurna: "But..."

Sanskar: "No ifs and no buts Badi Maa. I told you nobody will say anything against it, that's it. Don't worry; nobody will come between Ragini and Laksh now."

Annapurna smiled a bit and cupped his face.

Annapurna: "I don't have to worry if you are with them. May you get all the happiness dear."

She planted a kiss on his forehead and then went away.

Sanskar was about to go away when Sujata held his elbow..

Sujata: "Will you hide your pain from your own mother now? I know you very well. There is something disturbing you and you have to tell me about it."

Sanskar smiled placing his hands on Sujata's shoulders: "My dear Mom, can I ever hide anything from you? I'll tell you na, but later. I just came from outside and I'm fully drenched; what if your dear son gets cold?"

He laughed while Sujata slapped his chest playfully.

Sanskar went towards his room smiling while tears brightened his eyes.

MEANWHILE

Laksh dropped Ragini at home.

Ragini was about to get out of the car when Laksh stopped her holding her hand. Ragini looked at him.

Laksh: "I don't want to let you go..."

Ragini smiled: "But you have to let me go today..."

Laksh: "No good night gift?"

Ragini acted to think smiling: "hmm..." – She looked at Laksh and shook her head – "No!"

She laughed and was about to open the door of the car to get out when Laksh held her hand and pulled her closer fastly planting a kiss on her cheek.

Ragini pushed him away a bit and went out of the car. She left from there smiling and blushing while Laksh stared at her from behind chuckling.

Laksh started the car going away.

Ragini entered in Gadodia's house smiling and as soon as she looked on her smile turned smaller as Sharmishta and Shekhar were sitting in the living room and were looking at her with a serious face.

Swara was standing there too. She was looking down.

Shekhar to Ragini: "Swara told us everything about you and Laksh and she also told us that tomorrow his parents will come to talk about your marriage? Is this true?"

Ragini was scared by his serious voice tone, she slowly nodded.

Shekhar and Sharmishta looked at each other.

Sharmishta stood up and went towards Ragini: "Do you love Laksh?"

Ragini again nodded looking down.

Sharmishta smiled and suddenly hugged Ragini who looked on confused.

Sharmishta: "Why didn't you tell us before? Laksh is a very nice guy and Maheshwaris are a nice family as well. We are really happy for you!"

Ragini slowly smiled as well and looked at Swara who winked at her.

Swara ran towards Sharmishta and Ragini and hugged them.

Swara: "I am so happy for you Ragini! You finally got your love!"

Shekhar stood up too and went towards them. Sharmishta and Swara broke the hug to let him come towards Ragini who hugged him.

Ragini: "Sorry Papa, I didn't tell you before..."

Shekhar: "We aren't angry or upset with you dear. We just want you to be happy so if your happiness is with Laksh then we agree with your decision."

He broke the hug and looked at Ragini: "The only thing that took me back is realizing that my daughter has grown up so much that tomorrow we'll talk about her marriage. I don't really want to let you go but... this had to happen and it really couldn't happen in a better way."

Swara: "Yes yes, we are getting sentimental here and my dear sister can't wait for her marriage to happen. She just wants to leave us and go to her Laksh!"

Ragini blushed hard and just ran towards her room

Swara and Sharmishta laughed. Shekhar eyed them smiling a bit.

Ragini came in her room and closed the door merging her back against it and looking up. She was not able to stop smiling and her heart was racing.

MEANWHILE

Laksh entered in his room smiling. He let himself fall on the bed and lied on it looking at the ceiling. He looked at his phone on the bed and without hesitating he took it and called Ragini.

Ragini got out from her thoughts as her phone rang and she smiled more as she saw that Laksh was calling her. She picked up the call.

Laksh: "What's up would be Mrs. Ragini Laksh Maheshwari? It has been just few minutes since I last saw you and I'm already missing you."

Ragini smiled looking down and blushing.

"Tera mera rishta hai kaisa
Ik pal door gawara nehi..."
("What kind of relationship do we have?
That even one minute of distance isn't acceptable...")

Ragini: "Mr. Laksh Maheshwari it's very late. You should sleep now."

Laksh: "Wow, you are already in wife's role!"

Ragini and Laksh chuckled.

"Tere liye har roz hai jeete
Tujhko diya mera waqt sabhi..."
("I've lived for you every single day
I've given you all my time...")

Ragini heard someone's footsteps coming towards the room.

Ragini: "Someone is coming. I'll talk to you later. I'm also feeling sleepy so going to sleep as well! Good night!"

Laksh: "One..." – But Ragini cut the call before he could say anything more.

Laksh looked at the phone: "You can't escape from long. I won't let you go away for even a moment after marriage!"

Laksh smiled and held a pillow hugging it and sighing while looking at the ceiling and thinking about Ragini.

ON THE OTHER SIDE

Swara came in the room where Ragini was lying on the bed while reading a book.

Swara looked at her and smiled: "Hmm... seems like you're thinking about Laksh!"

Ragini looked at her: "I.. no... I was just reading."

Swara: "Oh.. I see..." – She sat near Ragini and held the book – "Do you enjoy more reading a book by holding it upside down?"

Ragini noticed she was holding the book upside down.

Swara laughed: "You're crazy! Are you happy now... you got your love?"

Ragini nodded: "I'm really very happy!"

Swara smiled and hugged her: "I'm very happy for you too!"

Ragini hugged her back happily.

Swara thought: "Now Sanskar can forget you..."

She smiled.

AT THE SAME TIME

Sujata was massaging Sanskar's head with oil while sitting on his bed. Sanskar was sitting on the ground; he was just wearing a vest.

Sujata: "Wil you tell me something honestly?"

Sanskar: "Can I ever lie to you?"

Sujata: "You told me that you love Ragini that day so what's happening now Sanskar? Ragini and Laksh?"

Sanskar: "Ragini and Laksh love each other Mom. My love is just..."

Sujata: "Your love is just what? Your love is true! Why are you bearing so much pain for that girl and Laksh? Did you ever try speaking to her and telling her that you love her? Maybe she loves you..."

Sanskar: "Mom! Ragini loves Laksh and I'm her best friend." – He held Sujata's hands and looked at her – "Mom I am happy... because she is happy. I don't want anything more."

Sujata: "But I'm your mother. They are all happy but I can't see your pain and I can't bear your tears!"

Sanskar smiled and kissed her hands: "You are the best mother. But I'm really happy so please don't worry."

Sujata sighed: "Of course I'll worry. Laksh is very lucky to have a brother like you. I shall go now, you aren't gonna listen to me anyway!"

Sanskar smiled and shouted while Sujata left the room: "I love you Mom!"

Sujata had just left the room when Sanskar's phone rang. It was Ragini. Sanskar looked at the screen of his mobile for a while and then picked up the call.

Ragini: "Sanskar I..."

Sanskar: "If you have called me to thank me again then I'm telling you that I am not interested in listening to it! I fulfilled the duty of a friend and you're continuously breaking the most important rule of friendship. How many times do I have to tell you Ragini: no sorry and no thank you between us!"

Ragini chuckled: "Ok baba, I'm sorry..."

Sanskar: "Sorry?!"

Ragini: "Ops... it came out from my mouth by mistake! But please understand, you did such a big favour to me that I..."

Sanskar: "Please do me a favour, stop reminding me that I did a favour for you."

Ragini: "Sanskar! Will you let me say anything or will you keep speaking?!"

Sanskar: "Ok fine, say it! And say it fast, I'm feeling sleepy."

Ragini: "Well thank you is strictly forbidden so I'll say you that from now onwards I'm your fan number 1"

Sanskar chuckled a bit while his eyes welled up. He wasn't able to control his emotions so much listening to her voice knowing that now he was definetly loosing her.

Sanskar: "Why?"

Ragini: "What a smartness you showed today! And the way you held that hockey stick when that goon was about to hit you! I got so scared but you turned out to be a hero! That's why, from today onwards I am your fan number 1! I need an autograph of yours!"

Sanskar and Ragini were talking when Laksh passed in front of Sanskar's room and heard him.

Laksh: "Bhai is still awake? Who is he talking with? Maybe the girl he is in love with... today I'll find it out who is she!"

Just then Sanskar said: "Ragini you are seriously crazy!"

Laksh: "Ragini?!"

He was about to enter in the room when someone placed an hand on his shoulder. He turned around and saw Annapurna standing in front of him.

Annapurna: "What are you doing here Laksh? It's so late, you should be sleeping!"

Laksh: "Maa I just went to get water from the kitched that..."

Annapurna: "Ragini's thoughts aren't letting you sleep, right?" – She smiled pulling his cheek.

Laksh scratched the back of his head smiling.

Annapurna: "But it's too late now! Go to your room right now!"

Laksh nodded smiling and went away while Annapurna sighed looking at him from behind.

Annapurna: "May evil's eye stay away from my son's happiness."

With this she also left from there.

AFTER FEW MINUTES

Ragini was sleeping when her phone rang. She picked up the call yawning.

Ragini: "Hello?"

There was Laksh on the other side: "Go on the balcony Ragini, right now!"

Ragini looked at the time on her mobile and then said: "Laksh it's midnight, what shall I do now in the balcony?"

Laksh: "Just go!"

Ragini sighed and slowly got up going on the balcony. There was darkness all around except the light of few street lamps.

Ragini: "What shall I do now?"

Laksh: "Close your eyes!"

Ragini: "What?"

Laksh: "I told you, close your eyes!"

Ragini closed her eyes confused.

Laksh: "Open your eyes only at my 3 ok? 1... 2... 3!"

Ragini: "Laksh what kind of childish behavior is this..." – But she stopped as soon as she opened her eyes. Where before there was only darkness, now many lights were brighting together making a sparkling "I love you" in front of Ragini's amazed eyes.

Ragini: "Laksh this..."

Laksh: "A bird told me that my would be wife is a big fan of Shah Rukh Khan's fan so I thought to express my love in King Khan's style!"

He smiled.

"Tu hi to Jannat meri, tu hi mera junoon..."
("You are my heaven, you only are my passion...")

Ragini had teary eyes and with a crying voice she said: "Laksh I don't know what to say. All this... for me..."

Laksh: "For you obviously, for who else? There is not any third one who can come between us because I love only you and you love only me. Isn't it?"

Ragini smiled while tears rolled down on her cheeks. She was still staring at the beautiful landscape she had in front of her eyes.

Laksh smiled too as he understood that Ragini had become emotional.

Laksh took out a picture of Ragini from his pocket and stared at it putting it near the moon.

Laksh: "You're really more beautiful than the moon."

Ragini smiled blushing.

THE NEXT DAY

Ragini was in the park, waiting for Laksh. He had called her there without telling her the reason.

Ragini looked at the time on her watch: "Laksh where are you!"– Suddenly someone covered her eyes from behind.

Ragini: "Laksh!! "

And it was really Laksh. He removed his hands from her eyes and came in front of Ragini.

Laksh: "You always spoil the surprise!"

Ragini: "And you are never on time! What's up now? Why did you call me here?"

Laksh: "Before our families talk about our alliance there is an important thing I have to do."

Ragini looked at him confused.

AT THE SAME TIME

Sharmishta heard someone knocking at the door and she went to open it. She was a bit surprised to see Durga Parsad there.

Sharmishta: "Durga Parsad Ji?"

Shekhar, who was reading the newspaper sitting in the living room, looked at her: "Who is it Mishti?"

Sharmishta went aside to let Durga Parsad enter inside and Shekhar stood up seeing him there.

He went towards him: "Durga Parsad Ji you here now? Ragini told us you'll be coming in the evening. We just sent Swara to get sweets for evening. Come, please take a sit."

Durga Parsad: "I'm not here to sit Mr. Gadodia." – He looked around at the house and smirked a bit – "The marriage of a girl belonging to such a small house is gonna be fixed with such a big and important family... of course it's something to celebrate with sweets for you but unfortunately we don't even speak to people like those my son wants to create a relation with."

Sharmishta looked at Shekhar who was looking at Durga Parsad shocked.

Shekhar: "You can't speak like this about my family..."

Durga Parsad: "I'm here to remind you the difference between our level and yours. My son did a mistake by falling in love with your daughter but how did even thought that I'll accept a girl of middle class as my daughter-in-law?"

Shekhar clenched his fists..

Durga Parsad: "Before our families meet this evening, I need to clear some things."

He straightly looked at Shekhar who was glaring at him back.

ON THE OTHER HAND

Laksh took out a pen from his pocket and then picked up a leaf from the ground. He wrote something on it and then gave it to Ragini.

Ragini turned around and smiled seeing that there was written "I love you", one more time.

"Humko humise chura lo... dil mai kahin tum chuupa lo.."
("Steal me from myself... Hide me somewhere in your heart...")

Ragini took the pen from Laksh and wrote something on the other side of the leaf and gave it to Laksh. Laksh smiled seeing that there was written "I love you too". He looked at Ragini who was already staring at him. They shared an eyelock.

"Hum akele kho na jaaye, door tumse ho na jaaye..."
("I don't want to get lost alone, I don't want to be away from you...")

Ragini and Laksh hugged each other.

"Paas aao ghale se lagaa lo..."
("Come near and embrace me...")

Ragini: "How many times will you say that you love me?"

Laksh: "Just like... every second, every moment, every day... for whole my life."

They looked at each other with a lot of love for each other in their eyes.

Ragini: "You called me here for this?"

Laksh shook his head: "There is still the main thing left."

He smiled looking at the confused expression of Ragini.

MEANWHILE

Durga Parsad to Shekhar: "You must have heard about the name and the respect Maheshwaris have earned. I don't want to ruin them. How can a small town girl be our daughter-in-law? I can't accept this. I tried making Laksh understand but he didn't listen to me. Laksh had ditched Ragini once but they returned together... so it's Ragini who has to reject Laksh now. She better not agree for this marriage or else..."

Shekhar: "Enough! We are silent but that doesn't mean that you'll keep saying whatever you want."

He said looking angrily at Durga Parsad. Sharmishta looked at them tensed.

IN THE PARK

Laksh knelt down in front of Ragini and took out a ring from his pocket forwarding it towards Ragini.

Laksh: "Will you marry me?"

Ragini smiled and brought ahead her hand and Laksh made her wear the ring.

"Tere liye hi jiya mein
Khudko yun de diya hai..."
("I lived for you only
I've given myself away in this way...")

Laksh kissed her hand and said while holding it and looking in her eyes: "Jabse dekha tujhe dil mai kuch kuch hota raha, kabhi haan kabhi na mai hamara milan hota raha... chalte chalte is chahat ki raahon mai aa gaye hamari manzil par, mohabbatein hamari zinda rahi kahin mushkiley aur nafratoon ke shatranj par... kehna hai bas tujhse hum tumare hai sanam, aur rehna hai tumare saath, har dam, janam janam. Laksh stood up and opened his arms in "SRK's style".

Ragini threw herself in Laksh's arms hugging him tightly. Laksh surrounded her with his arms closing his eyes and smiling as he felt her so close to him.

AT GADODIA'S HOUSE:

Shekhar: "We know our level very well and you said right that we were happy about this marriage, but just because our daughter was happy. We don't belong to high society but our thinking is not so small like yours. You gained a lot of name but not a lot of respect honestly Durga Parsad. How can a small town girl be your daughter-in-law? Ask this to your son who fell in love with my daughter."

Durga Parsad glared at him angrily.

MEANWHILE

Laksh, still hugging Ragini: "Now give me the answer!"

Ragini: "Of which question!"

Laksh: "Will you marry me? I made you wear the ring but you didn't give me any answer: yes or no?"

Ragini smiled and looked at him breaking the hug: "I'll give you the answer obviously. But this evening!"

She laughed turning around and running away.

Laksh: "Ragini!" – he tried to hold her wrist but she was gone. He smiled shaking his head.

ON THE OTHER HAND

Shekhar: "Don't worry. Today Ragini's answer will be no only. I'll never let my daughter marry a guy who belongs to a family who has such a small thinking."

Durga Parsad: "It will be better for both of us."

He glared at Shekhar and Sharmishta and then left.

Sharmishta to Shekhar: "What have you done? You know Ragini loves Laksh and Laksh loves Ragini!"

Shekhar: "Ragini can't ever marry Laksh. His father is talking about Ragini like this then what will happen after marriage? Laksh may love our Ragini a lot, but Durga Parsad won't let her be happy and I can't compromise with my daughter's happiness."

Sharmishta looked down tensed.

AFTER A WHILE

Ragini came back at home smiling. She went in the room. Swara was already there.

Swara looked at her smiling: "So? Why had Laksh called you?"

Ragini: "Actually..."

Just then Sharmishta came there.

Sharmishta: "Ragini..."

Ragini looked at her: "Maa, you here?"

Sharmishta: "Ragini I need to talk with you."

Ragini: "What happened Maa? Why are you looking so worried?"

Sharmishta: "Ragini..."

She told him whatever happened between Shekhar and Durga Parsad while she was out. At her each word Ragini's eyes were welling up and turning bigger.

She shook her head not believing at what she was hearing.

Ragini: "This is not possible. How can Papa do like this with me?!"

Swara placed an hand on her shoulder but just then Ragini ran out of the room and went in the living room where Shekhar was sitting.

Ragini broke down at his feet looking at him with teary eyes. Shekhar looked away to avoid her gaze.

Ragini: "Papa I can't say no to Laksh. I love him a lot, I want to marry him. Please don't do like this Papa..."

Shekhar looked at her: "What can I do then Ragini? Do you know what has that man said? I can't let my daughter go to a house where they don't respect her."

Ragini: "But Papa, Laksh will be with me na. He won't let anything happen to me. Please trust us."

Shekhar: "Ragini don't be stubborn! You have to say no for the marriage today, that's it!"

Ragini sobbed standing up and went back in her room crying.

Sharmishta and Swara, who saw what was happened, looked at each other.

LATER

A lifeless Ragini was walking on the road.

Suddenly a car stopped near her and Durga Parsad came out. He went to her smirking.

Durga Parsad: "Your face clearly says that your eyes got finally opened and your dreams got broken." Ragini glared at him..

Durga Parsad: "you know... I tried making Laksh understand many times but he doesn't listen to me so when now you'll say no to Laksh for this marriage then he obviously won't be able to do anything."

Ragini: "What if I don't deny for the marriage?2

Durga Parsad smirked: "If you and Laksh get married then Laksh's future is surely ruined."

Ragini looked at him confused.

Durga Parsad: "In one month you both will complete your studies and suppose you get married. Have you ever thought what will Laksh do after that? What job will he do? Because if you both get married then I won't let him join our family business."

Ragini: "If we don't get married then Laksh will be capable of managing your business, isn't it? And if he is capable of managing your business then don't you think he can start his own business? He can stand on his own feet."

Durga Parsad smiled wryly: "Capable? And Laksh? Without house, without money and without my name Laksh is nothing. He even failed a year once. Business doesn't start by clapping. From where will he get the money? Who will stand by him? Who will give him support?"

Ragini: "I will be his support and I'll stand by him too. I'm in talks with a record company so I'll make my own career and Laksh will settle down too."

Durga Parsad: "What kind of love is yours? You want to submit Laksh under the weight of favours? Do you want him to be a live-in son-in-law? What about his self-respect, his pride? Do you want to snatch them from him? Fine. You are just being stubborn and not thinking that you're ruining Laksh's golden future for a future full of struggles and submission. He could become the owner of Maheshwaris empire, actually he will be the owner of course... he is the heir. How can you be so selfish? But do you want to ruin his future? The go ahead."

Ragini looked down.

Durga Parsad smirked and turned back towards his car. He was about to get inside when.

Ragini: "And what if I say no today?"

Durga Parsad: "There is no use of that also now. You'll somehow come back in my son's life or he'll come back to you. But yes..."– He looked back at Ragini – "If you leave Laksh forever. I mean, if you'll marry someone else then Laksh's future is surely bright."

He smirked and sat inside the car, leaving from there.

Ragini was stunned. Her eyes, which were turned bigger, welled up with tears while Durga Parsad's words echoed in his mind.

"Khwaabon mai the aansu chupe,
Pata hi na tha hame..."
("There were tears hidden in my dreams
And I had no idea about this...")

She shook her head: "N... no... no... T... this isn't possible... I can't do this..."

But she was continuously recalling Durga Parsad's words.

("You want to submit Laksh under the weight of favours?")

("What about his self-respect, his pride? Do you want to snatch them from him?")

Ragini placed an hand on her mouth while a tear skipped on her cheek.

"Raahon mai the, kaantey biche,
Pata hi na tha hame..."
("Thorns were laden on my roads,
And I had no idea about this...")

She shut her eyes sobbing.

"Kuch bhi hame haasil nehi, hai reh gayi manzil kahin,
Hairan hai dil, kis baat ki yeh hai sazaa...
Rone laghi hai abh duaa, khudse huwi hoon bepataa,
Aye Rab mere zara yeh bata..."
("I couldn't achieve anything, my destination has been left someplace behind,
My heart is worried, what's all this punishment for...
Even prayers are crying now, I've become unknown to my own self,
O God, please tell me this...")

Ragini started to run crying as she couldn't control her pain.

"Kyu hua, kyu hua waqt hamse khafaa?
Iss gham ki wajah kis se pooche yahaan?
Ishq se dil juda, kyu hua, kyu hua?
Kyu hua, kyu hua... Rab hi bezubaan..."
("Why is time upset with us?
Why has love separated itself from the heart?
Whom should I go and ask the reason for all this pain?
Why has God become silent?")

She was running on the road crying when suddenly a car came from ahead. Ragini didn't notice the car and it was coming towards her fast. It was about to hit him but before this could happen it stopped but hit Ragini slightly. She fell down hitting her head against the road.

The door of the car opened and Sanskar came out. He got shocked seeing Ragini in that state.

Sanskar: "Ragini!!"

He ran towards her and took her face in his lap shaking her.

Sanskar: "Ragini are you ok?!"

Her forehead was bleeding a bit and she was slowly closing her teary eyes.

Sanskar picked her up in his arms and took her in the car, making her sit inside.

He sat inside too and started to drive.

Sanskar: "What have I done?! If anything happens to Ragini, I would not be able to forgive myself."

He was hell tensed.

AFTER A WHILE

Ragini was lying on her bed. Sanskar was sitting near her caressing her forehead while looking at her concerned.

Ragini slowly opened her eyes and looked around. As she saw Sanskar she tried to get up but Sanskar placed his hands on her shoulders stopping her.

Sanskar: "No Ragini. Take rest. Doctor said that it's just a little injury but it's on head and coz of stress you could have headache so you just need rest."

Ragini looked down resting her back against the headboard, without saying a word.

Sanskar: "Aunty and uncle are outside. Laksh and whole the family is coming." – He looked down – "Swara told me about what Bade Papa did... I can't believe it! How dare he! I won't..."

But before he could say anything else Ragini placed a hand on his hand. Sanskar looked at her.

Ragini: "You told me that you would do anything for me, right? For my and Laksh's happiness?"

Sanskar nodded in a yes.

Ragini: "Will... will you marry me?"

Sanskar stood up shocked: "R... Ragini... Ragini what are you saying?!"

Ragini joined her hands in front of him: "I don't have any other option Sanskar... I can't see any other solution..."

Sanskar knelt in front of her and held her hands recomposing them: "Ragini what are you saying? How... how can I do this? If Shekhar uncle didn't agree that doesn't mean we can't convince him. You and Laksh will surely get married... I'll talk to uncle."

Ragini jerked away his hands away: "I don't want to marry Laksh! I can't ruin his life!"

She cried shutting her eyes.

Sanskar looked at her confused. He slowly raised an hand towards Ragini's face. He was hazitating to touch her but he wasn't able to see her in that state... in so much pain... He slowly wiped her tears with trembling fingers and then placed his hands on her shoulders.

Sanskar: "Ragini please tell me what actually happened? Why are you saying like this?"

Ragini couldn't control herself and threw herself in Sanskar's arms crying. Sanskar looked at her and then slowly raised his hands hugging her back.

Sanskar: "Ragini calm yourself! Please tell me? Did Bade Papa say you anything? Did you have an argument with Laksh? If you keep crying, I won't be able to help you Ragini!"

Sanskar made her look at him. She was still sobbing but tried to talk between her sobs. She told Sanskar what happened with Durga Parsad. She was not able to stop her tears.

Ragini: "Nor my Papa wants me and Laksh to marry and nor his father wants. So how can we unite? Laksh's benefit is also in not marrying me. How can I go against Papa? How can I play with Laksh's future? I can't be so selfish. I can't do this..."

Sanskar: "Will you be able to marry someone else?"

Ragini looked down, then she slowly looked back at Sanskar: "You are my best friend. I know I'm asking you a huge favour but... but I can't even think about anyone else. And I know you'll understand me in future and you'll give me time..."

Sanskar looked down while his eyes welled up too.

Sanskar thought: "How can I tell Ragini that I can't marry her? I have controlled myself with so much effort... how can I tell her that I love her... how?"

He looked at her. He wasn't able to see her in so much pain.

Sanskar wiped his tears and held Ragini's hand. She looked at him.

Sanskar: "I... I'm ready to marry you."

Ragini smiled a bit while tears flew down on her cheeks.

Ragini: "Please forgive me if possible. I know I'm being selfish towards you. But..."

Sanskar: "Shh! I don't want to hear anything more. If you think that your and Laksh's good is in this... then I'm ready..."

Just then Swara entered in the room.

Swara: "Ragini..."

Sanskar immediately left Ragini's hand but Swara saw it. She made a face seeing that Sanskar was also kneeling down.

Swara: "Ragini Laksh and everybody else are here. Get ready and come out fast."

She looked at Sanskar.

Sanskar: "I... I must go out too now... take care Ragini."

He stood up looking down and then followed Swara outside.

As Swara and Sanskar came in the living room, everyone looked at them.

Laksh was confused: "Bhai? You here?"

Sanskar: "Yes... actually... I... I had an important work with Ragini so..."

Shekhar, Sharmishta and Swara looked at him confused as he didn't tell anything about Ragini's little accident.

AFTER FEW MINUTES

Laksh was going towards the washroom when he passed in front of Ragini's room. He saw a glimpse of her through the window so he stopped there.

Laksh removed the curtain which was covering the window a bit and a smile appeared on his lips as he saw Ragini sitting in front of the dressing table.

She was wearing a simple red suit and only earing as jewellery but she was looking so gorgeous.

Laksh stared at her sighing.

Ragini held her hair to gather them in a braid. Laksh shook his head as she was looking simply beautiful with open hair.

Ragini hadn't noticed him but however she stopped and left her hair open. Laksh smiled.

As Ragini stood up, Laksh closed the curtains again and went back in the living room smiling.

After a while Ragini came there too.

Sanskar and Laksh looked at her. Laksh smiled while Sanskar looked away.

Sharmishta looked at her understanding that she had cried a lot. Sharmishta eyed at Shekhar trying to convince him but he looked away too.

Durga Parsad took a sip of the tea Sharmishta had served smirking.

Ram Parsad and Annapurna smiled looking at Ragini while Sujata had a face as she knew about Sanskar's feelings.

Annapurna: "We don't even need to say anything. My son likes Ragini and even I wanted a daughter-in-law like her only, who can keep my son happy. I don't want anything else."

Durga Parsad: "Let Ragini say something too Annapurna Ji..."– He looked at her smirking a bit.

Sanskar, Shekhar, Sharmishta and Swara glared at him.

Durga Parsad: "Ragini are you ready for this marriage?"

Ragini looked at Laksh who was looking at him smiling and then she looked at Shekhar who wasn't even looking in her eyes.

Ragini looked down to hide her tears and said closing her eyes: "I... I... I don't want this marriage..."

Sharmishta shut her eyes. Shekhar, Sanskar and Swara looked down. All the Maheshwaris' family stood up shocked.

Laksh: "WHAT? Ragini? What are you saying?!"

Ragini clenched her fists trying to control herself.
