"Oi! Where are you?! You should just serve Ore-sama for the rest of your life, not like its worth anything anyways," I heard my Nii-san's voice yell.

I was currently hiding in one of the rooms. 'Nii-san is probably just kidding... I mean he says it all the time, he's probably just playing around,' I thought reassuring myself.

"Hmm? Is that Akane-chan?" I heard a voice from the shadows.

"Laito...nii-san?" I said unsure.

Revealing himself, he said, "Are you scared of Ayato?"

I flinched from the question, but slightly nodded. "Aww, my poor Akane-chan is scared of her big brother... Come here," he said holding his hand out.

I looked at it and slowly took his hand. Just right after he pulled me up and brought me close to his chest. Leaning towards my ear, he said, "You should just become mine... No one else will take you, no one will want you. You're just a worthless little vampire, but you see... I will take you, and want you, even if I don't like you. Just give up."

My eyes widen as I try to get out of his grip. "Let go!" I yelled biting his hand.

Loosening his grip a bit, I was able to escape.

Running down the hallway that seemed endless, I finally spotted Reiji. "Rei~ji..." I had tears in my eyes by now. "Is it t-true? Am I really worthless? Am I n-not needed?"

Reiji was quiet for quite awhile until I saw something that would give me nightmares. My big brother Reiji, was smirking like a maniac while saying,"Of course its true! Who would want a scum like you! If I can't be accepted, then why should you?! You can disappear for all I care! In fact why don't you?! No one would care anyway!"

I was about to bawl my eyes out. "N-nii-san..."

"Dont call me that!"

I ran away just before he could hurt me anymore. 'Calm down Akane... Its just because of mommy... Reiji nii-san... Probably... Doesn't mean... It.'

I broke down. I couldn't handle it anymore. I just let out all of my tears that I had held back for so long. The eerie silence was filled with hiccups and sniffling, that is... Until a certain purple-haired brother came.

"Eh, why is Akane crying? Teddy, should we help her?" I heard Kanato's voice say.

I look up from my arms and see Kanato standing above me with his beloved Teddy.

"Ka..nato...nii-san.. W-why are y-you here?" I said still crying.

"Because Teddy and I both heard muffled sounds coming from this room..." He knelt down and wiped my tears from my face.

"Nii-san..."

"It was really annoying."

"Eh."

"Teddy started to get annoyed and so did I. Hearing the sound of you crying is really disgusting. I feel like throwing up because of it.... I'd rather hear your screams instead, right Teddy?" A sadistic smile growing on his face.

"I-im sorry, I di-"

A loud noise echoed through the room. I felt a hand strike my cheek making it burn and numb.

"Shut up! Even when you talk its disgusting. My ears will bleed if I hear your voice anymore! Teddy even says so!"

I was kicked again and again. Slapped multiple times. In my fading vision, all I saw was my oldest brother, Shu, standing by the doorway.

Watching.

Looking away after he felt satisfied. 'I'm sorry Shu nii-san... You probably feel disgusted by my appearance, huh?'

My vision faded and I was soon engulfed in darkness.

"-KANE! AKANE!"

My eyes slightly opened and I saw the precious white haired boy I grew up with.

"Eh, Subaru? Wha-"

I felt a warmth against my body. To my surprise, he was hugging me with tears in his eyes.

"D-dont do that again! I don't care if I have to fight them. Just please, don't leave me. Your all I have left...." Subaru said with tears rolling down his face.

I was shocked, but smiled and hugged him back. "Don't worry, I couldn't leave you if I tried. Just, don't harm any of them. They're all kind somewhere deep down in their hearts, I just haven't unlocked it yet."

He seemed to be a bit annoyed and mad by my answer, but still hugged me anyways.

"Hey Subaru.." I said drifting to sleep.

" No,Akane don't die!"

"Haha, I'm just tired, that's all. Just let me... Fall asleep like this..." I mumbled, nodding off.

Little did I know, I was going to be at my death bed that night.

'Nii-sans... I'm sorry...'
