~×8×~

Why couldn't I just sit beside Tsukiya...  Was it really necessary to have a brother on each side of me?

  "Kitsune-chan~?"

Looking over at Laito, I replied with a small voice, "...Yes...?"

"Could you be a dear and be mine?" He said with a wink.

Why am I here... "Uh...  No..."

"Ara~, how boring...  Shouldn't you be stuttering and blushing like crazy?" He complained.

"Shut up, would ya?  You're annoying and a nuisance to death," Subaru said from across the car.

Ayato looked up grinning, "Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." He seemed to be looking forward to what might come next with a glint of mischief in his eyes.

"Teddy...  Everyone is being strange today..." Kanato mumbled to himself.

"Keep it down.  There's no reason for a fight to break out in this small space, " said an annoyed Reiji.  Everyone seemed to quiet down after he said that, surprisingly.  Looking over at Tsukiya, I noticed he was drifting in and out of sleep, along with Shu, whilst Yui staring at him curiously.

The car came to a sudden stop in front of what seemed to be a castle.  "Wh-whoa..."  I've never been to such a place in a long time...  Its such a big school, bigger than our house!

One by one, everyone begin piling out of the car.  I noticed that many girls would be whispering among themselves and occasionally pointing, stopping or staring.  "Aka-chan, are you excited for your first day of school~?" I heard Tsukiya scone up behind me.

"Ready as I'll ever be," I said sounding uninterested.  Keyword was sounding.  I'm really actually happy.  I never thought I'd go to an actual school with other kids!  Even when I was smaller I didn't think of this...  I can't wait to get started.

So, I was given a map and a paper of my classes.  I guess there was suppose to be a guide somewhere... Around here, but I can't find anyone nearby, huh.

After we went to the principals office, we were sent on our seperate ways.  The brothers didn't give a damn about where I went and Tsukiya was one year older, so he had a completely different schedule.  "Sigh..." Doing one more check to see if anyone was nearby, I gave up and decided to start exploring on my own.

Despite not knowing where I was going, I was able to find my way around the school pretty well.  I found the cafeteria, a music room--thankfully, and some of my classes.  However... After an hour passed, there was a sudden bell played throughout the halls.  Following that, the doors opened and a tsunami of students engulfed the hallways.

Quickly, I moved to the side after being unintentionally pushed around.  "What's going on..." I mutter to myself.  I saw some students occasionally glance over, but lose interest after a second or two.

The halls cleared up a bit in about 3ish minutes while I stood there a bit overwhelmed with what happened.

Then, I saw a familiar orange haired boy.  It seems he saw me too because we watched each other for a minute before he began walking away.  He might be my only way to figure out where I'm suppose to go... But I don't want to bothe-

"Excuse me young miss, aren't you suppose to be in your classes right now?" Someone said, tapping my shoulder behind me.

"U-uh... Oh, um, sorry." I stumbled, turning around to see a teacher.  "Actually, I'm a new student and I'm not sure where to go.  I waited where I was suppose to meet the guide, but they never showed up..."

She didn't seem fazed at all by my explanation.  "Are you lying?  If you are, you're going to be in a lot of trouble," she threatened, narrowing her eyes.

I've never met someone so uptight... Not even Hiyori was like this"Yes, I promise."

"...Alright, come on.  If you truly are a new student, you need to go take your test," she stated, leading the way to a room I already passed while exploring.  Opening the door, she waited for me to go inside and said to no one in particular, "She's here to take her academics test."

A couple of other students looked up and the teacher there seemed a bit relieved.  "Thank goodness, I was getting worried."

The seemingly nicer teacher came up to us and gently smiled at the other, "I can take care of her now, thank you." The other seemed to narrow her eyes more and walked off, leaving us in silence.

"Haha... So!  Hello, I'm guessing you're Akane, Sakamaki...?" She said with a warm smile.  "My name is Alisa Takamura, the school's counselor."

This person is a lot like Hiyori...  "Uh, yeah, hi," I said, not really interested.

"So, we need you to take a test to rate your academic level.  Sadly, we weren't able to do this earlier because of the late notice, but I do hope you don't mind."

   "Sure."

She pulled out a chair from the desk in the middle and handed me a test and pencil.  "Fill in the bubbles and wr-"

"I know how to take a test," I muttered, more to myself.  Taking my seat, I sat down and looked at the test blankly, then... I looked at it bewildered.  What are these numbers...  We never learned about these back home...

Looking up, I saw the other students were already turning in their papers.  "Wh-"

"Shh," I heard from a girl next to me.

"...sorry..." I said looking back down at the test.  The quadratic equation factored is... A, (4x+9)(x+10) B, (50x+10)(3x-7) C, blah blah blah D, we'll go with this oneAfter that, I began guessing each answer while barely reading it.

I finished within 40 minutes, mostly because I tried to figure out some problems.

"Are you done Akane?" Alisa came up behind, slightly startling, me.

"Yeah," I said handing her the test.  "Can I go now?"

"Yes, I'll have someone take you to your classes," she said gathering all the tests together.  "Dahlia, do you mind taking Akane to her classes?  If I remember correctly, you share homeroom together."

I looked over to who she was gesturing to, and it was none other than the girl who shushed me.

She looked at me and sighed, "Yeah, I guess I could."

We walked down the halls in silence.  "So how did you become a victim of the Sakamakis?" She suddenly said, breaking the silence.

   "What do you mean?"

"Well, I've never heard about the Sakamaki's having a sister, even the fangirlest of fangirls didn't know anything," she said keeping her head foward.

"Huh...  Who knew such idiots and ruthless people would have a fan club instead of a, 'let's plot their death' club."

"Looks can get you anywhere in this world I guess."

"Ha, I guess..."  I'm having a normal conversation about my brothers.  I'm not panicking or anything.  How uplifting it is too bad talk them.

We stopped in front of a classroom.  "Here we go."

A thought occurred to me.  "Hey, why do you know your way around the school so well? I thought you were a new student."

"Oh, I was able to explore a bit before I got here," she said answering, as if rehearsed.  I nodded in response as she opened the door.

The teacher and all of the students eyes landed on us.  It was quite scary actually.  "Oh!  The two new students I'm guessing?  Come on in," the teacher said, gesturing for us to come closer.

"Thank you," Dahlia replied, being very formal as I remained silent, simply bowing my head.

"Class, this is Akane and Dahlia.  Please be kind to them today," the teacher stated to the class.  "You can sit in any of the empty seats," she said pointing to each one.

We both began heading over to a separate empty seat, trying to avoid eye contact with anyone.  I did, however, notice some whispering and giggling throughout the room.  "She looks so plain...  As if she could be their sister...  I wonder what would happe-"

A loud snap filled the room.  Looking to the front, I saw the teacher had slapped a ruler to her desk.  "Oh, dear me, I'm sorry if I startled you," she said with a small smile.

I took my seat and saw Dahlia sat 2 seats away.  After that, the teacher had finished taking attendance and began her lesson on whatever math stuff we were learning.  It seemed like hours before it had ended.  When the bell rang, everyone grabbed their bags and flooded out the room.

I guess this starts my high school life...  Good luck me...
