2 | Fight With Mahira
|| S H A N Z E ||
I tried to talk to Mahira from the past week but she was ignoring me or not giving me any answer.
I was sitting in the living room and exploring on internet, using my instagram on my laptop. Dad entered in the living room and sat in front of me.
“Something special happened today which is giving my dad happiness,” I said with a smile.
He looked at me with a laugh. Smile was not leaving from his face. It was after a long time I saw him smiling like this and I wished it never left from his face.
“Today I am feeling a little relax like tension free,” Dad said looking at the space, still having a smile.
“Never stop smiling, dad. It really suits you,” I said and stood up to sit beside him.
“If I ask you something will you ever give me?” Dad asked me with a soft but a little tensed tone.
“Why not. If you ask me to give you my life I will happily give my life to you,” I said hugging him.
“I don't want your life. I just have one wish,” He said kissing on my head.
“What is your wish? I promise I will do everything to fulfill it,” I said looking up at him.
“I will tell you on the right time,” He said looking down at me.
“A-ha! Daughter and father having their special time,” Mom said entering in the living and sat across us.
I and dad laughed at her. I saw my parents had a relief smile on their face and I knew there was something behind their reliefness but whatever it was; I was grateful to it.
“Is there anything?” Dad asked her with concern look.
“Yeah! Your father and mother are coming tomorrow and they want everyone of us to gather at your brother house. There is also a function there,” Mom informed dad.
Not again. I didn't want to go to there again and see the ugliest person with cold heart. But I wanted to meet my grandpa and grandma. I pouted because I knew I had no excuse.
“Function of what?” I asked with a frown.
“Your grandpa’s and grandma’s fifty fifth wedding anniversary,” Mom replied.
I gasped because I forgot it. I hit my head slightly and bit my tongue.
“Oops! Thanks for reminding me. Look like I have shopping to do now,” I said with sheepishly smile.
Mom and dad laughed and shook their heads.
“Take Mahira with you,” Mom said standing up, “And don't buy a dress for yourself because I have a dress for you and I want you to wear that tomorrow.”
I nodded my head but thought about Mahira because I didn't know if wanted to go with me or not.

My phone rang up and I saw it was Hasan who was calling me. He was son of my father's only sister.
.........
“What can I do for you, sir?” I asked picking up the phone.
.........
“No greetings. It's OK!” He said, sarcastically.
.........
I sighed, “What do you want?”
I thought I heard him saying ‘you’ but I shook it off.
.........
“I am going to buy gift for grandpa and grandma. And I know you also have to buy something for them. Want to join me? Because I need someone's help.”
.........
“OK! But then you have to pick me up.”
.........
“I'll be there in half an hour. Also inform your evil sister to be ready,” He said.
.........
“Can't you inform?” I asked with pout.
.........
“You know her and also how much she hates me.”
Well that's true she hated him for no reasons but he always treated her good.
.........
“I will try,” I said, defeatedly, “You have to buy me ice cream for this.”
.........
“OK! Ice cream lover, I will buy for you,” —he laughed— “See you in half an hour, angel!”
.........
“See you, Mr. Hero!” I giggled and hanged up.
.........
“Why are you laughing? And with whom you are talking?” Mahira asked, suddenly, entered in my room.
“Get ready if you want to go out with me,” I said and tried to ignore the coldness in her voice.
“Mom already informed me. No need for wasting your voice,” She said in more cold voice and went out of the room like nothing happened.
I was still and shocked to see her behaving like this with me.
