Diego P.O.V

We began to walk into the woods as my pack returned back home.

I felt unreal that I'm back where Shira's lives. I wanted to go back home. My body felt weak and tired of so much fighting.

Then I fell to the snow. The cubs were pushing me.

They spoke, "Daddy please get up! I want to see mommy."

Those words of my cubs that I promised  we will be reunited as a family. I got up struggling with hope.

I spoke, "Okay let go."

We continued walking slowly. I could only take one step at a time. I wanted to give up but I will complete the promise that I made.

Shira P.O.V

The cubs and I were in the cave. I heard that we lost the war. I quickly took the cubs to our home. I kept on guard ready to protect my little ones.

I felt like something is coming. Nothing like a threat but hope in end.

I began to wonder where is Carol. He hasn't returned. Diego I wonder is he coming back for me.

As each day passes I felt the feeling is getting stronger. I began to walk back and forth.

3rd P.O.V

Diego was getting close to his home. Then the blizzard hit. Diego wouldn't give up but continued protecting the cubs from the cold winds.

Until he saw someone standing in the distance in front of his home.

Shira saw someone coming to the cave. Shira felt her heart racing.

The cubs went running in front of Diego to the saber.

Diego heard the cries of his kids. The cubs were happy met mom and siblings.

Diego finally reached to the cave. Diego was in front Shira staring at each other.

Diego wanted to raise his paw but felt afraid scaring Shira.

Diego spoke, "Shira. I'm back."

Shira look at Diego disbelief seeing him alive.

Shira quickly hugged Diego and kissing him crying.

Shira spoke, "Diego you are actually here. I thought you were dead."

Diego kisses back and spoke, "I know. I just want to rest on your paws."

Diego fell towards Shira's body tired. Shira hugged Diego's body.

Shira spoke, "Rest my saber. Your here with me now."

Diego was being hold by Shira. Shira continued kissing him. Diego fell asleep feeling Shira's body once again. A tear fell from his eyes happy to reunited to his lover.

Family reunited.
