Artemis pov
After my hang out with Jason i went to the cave.
Recognized Artemis b08
"Hey princess." I heard Grayson say.
" hey nightwing. " I replied.
"How was your hang out with jason?" rightwing asked.
"It was okay" I Replied.
Then my phone buzzed
With a text from my ex (that rymes lol)
Wally: I told your dad where you are
Artemis: you did what!?
Wally: sorry but he threatened to kill Sophie and I couldn't let that happen
Artemis:okay thanks for the warning
Wally: no problem

I looked at nightwing. "What?" He asked. " My dad's after me and he threatened wally with Sophie so he told my dad my location. " I explained. Then realization hits me. 'mom'
"Night, I have to go I'll talk to you later." I told him.

*timeskip*

I went to my mom's apartment and the door was left open. 'oh no' "MOM!?" I shouted. I went into the living room and saw my mom. blood was everywhere. I grabbed my phone and called nightwing.

"hi princess,what's up" nightwing answered.

  I sobbed.

"what's wrong? are you okay?" nightwing asked.

"night, my mom is dead. I think my dad killed her." I replied crying.

"I'm on my way." he told me and hung up.

nightwing's pov

I was on my way to artemis's mom apartment. I felt bad for her, her mom was always there for her. 'but why is her dad after her.'

*timeskip*

I finally reached the apartment and walked in and saw artemis crying. "artemis." I said.

she looked at me and hugged me and I hugged her back. I ran my fingers through her hair."im so sorry artemis" I said. I let her keep crying on my chest. "we'll find your father, I promise." I vowed. i  looked at her mother and it looks like she was stabbed. then I noticed something on the wall. "artemis, look at this." I said. she looked at the wall and gasped.  

'join me or your loved ones are dead including your sister let me know artemis - sportsmaster'

"this isn't good, he wants me to join him,dick I can-" I cut artemis off by kissing her softly on the lips. when I pulled away I said "don't worry he's not going to kill us nor your sister and we'll make sure of that." 

"I love you grayson." artemis told me

"love you too princess" I replied
