I was laying on the bed. Parul came in the room.

"I'm hell tired" She said. I nodded. "Devaki ji ko btaya?" I asked. She shook her head. "Jeth ji aa gey the" She said.

"Kya hoga jab unhe pta chalega?" I asked. "Kal pandit ji aa rhe h, sagai ki tareekh nikalne" She said.

"Hame usse pehle Devaki ji ko btana hoga" I said. She nodded.

Devaki's POV
The next day, Pandit ji came. I was going downstairs when Parul held my wrist and took me to her room.

"Parul kya hua?" I asked. "Didi mujhe aapse boht zaruri baat krni h" She said worrigly.

"Devaki, puttar thalle aaja" Bauji shouted from the hall.

"Parul abhi nhi. Baadme hmm?" I said and left.

I went in the hall and took elders' blessings. They made me sit next to Sumedh. I was nervous.

"Yajmaan, sagai k lie kal ki tithi nikli h. Uske baad sagai 7 mahine baad hi ho paeghi" Pandit ji said.

"Kal? Bhai kal kidda ho sakdi h?" Bauji asked.

"Kal thik h Bauji, warna 7 mahine takk rukna padega" Sumedh said. I just kept quiet. Wasn't that a bit too...

Umm, no it was fine. If Sumedh was ok with it, then I was ok!

"Chal fir theek h. Tayyaaria shuru kro bhai" Bauji said.

In just two hours everyone had a work to do. Everything was supposed to be done by the next morning.

"Parul shopping krne nhi jaana kya?" I asked Parul. "Didi aap dukaan k paas nhi jaoghe, dukaan aapke paas aaeghi!" Parul said.

"Didi usse pehle mujhe aapko kucch zaruri baat btani thi" She said. "Arey haan bolo" I said. "Didi woh actually Jeth ji k bareme h...Jeth ji na..." She said. "Devaki beta kal k lie dress dekh le konsi pehn'ni h" Chachi said.

I went to Chachi. "Chachi yeh wali kesi h?" I asked pointing towards a blue and white saree. "Hmm theek h" She said and bought the saree. Other ladies came to buy dresses while I went to Parul.

"Parul ab koi disturb nhi krega, bolo?" I asked. She nodded. She looked at me and then shook her head. "K-kucch nhi Didi. Me yehi poochna chahti thi k aapko yaha koi problem to nhi ho rhi na?" She asked.

Why did she ask that? She wanted to say something about Sumedh. Then...what was that!?

"Umm, nhi. Lekin tumne kaha tha..." I said. "Didi mujhe kucch kaam h" She said and left. "Arey lekin..." I said.

I turned and saw Sumedh standing behind me. "Parul kya bol rhi hi?" He asked. "Pta nhi. Kucch clear baat nhi ki usne" I replied.
