Chapter 18
Keigo winks toward me as he poses for one of the pictures, the photographer arching a brow toward him while I roll my eyes and lean my head against my hand. A small, fond smile on my lips as he faces the camera, holding a jacket over his shoulder as he gives a small smouldering look toward the camera. Grinning charmingly toward the lens while the photographer compliments his looks, telling him to look certain ways to get the right angle. Making the winged hero look almost angelic in each photo they take.
As expected, Keigo adored being in front of cameras. The male seemed to be more relaxed in front of a camera. He wasn't awkward or tense, he seemed to be in his element. Then again, his job revolves around being in the public eye. It would be a bit of a problem if he wasn't good with cameras and attention. But with the confidence boost, he got even more flirtier.
If that was even possible...
The fashion designer sits by a laptop, judging each of the photos one by one. Every one that pops up with Keigo turning his attention toward me makes him frown softly. The male sending me a small glare like it's my fault. A small sigh leaving my lips as I turn my attention to my phone. Nodding every so often to himself as he notes down which numbers that could possibly be put into the new fashion magazines being released in a week. A smile on his lips as he nods toward the photographer to stop, sending Keigo a grateful smile before stopping the shoot.
"Thank you, Hawks," The designer says with a smile, shaking the heroes hand before heading toward the photographer to look over the photos and pointing to those that he wishes to keep, "Um, Miss (L/n), a word if will,"
"Of course," I reply softly, pushing myself off the chair and brushing down my pants. Keigo sending me a smile as he leaves the suite to head to his dressing room. Sending both males a smile, I tuck a strand of hair behind my ear, "What's up?"
"I think it'll be wise if you aren't present during Mr. Hawks' photoshoots," The photographer begins, sending me a small smile as if to try and dampen the blow, a small sigh leaving my lips, "You seem to be a distraction to him,"
"Right," I reply with a small weak smile, taking a deep breath as I look toward them. Arching a brow as they both nod toward each other, "So who will be there to fix his makeup if I can't be there?"
"We'll get another makeup artist to fill in," The designer replies, looking over his clipboard, not really caring about my feelings. Then again, this is a cutthroat business, "That'll be all,"
Rolling my eyes, I turn on my heel and head down the corridor shaking my head. Biting my gently as my feathers begin ruffling, the bottoms of my wings beginning to fluff up as I walk down the hallway. I couldn't believe it! How was I a distraction?! It's not like I was doing it on purpose! I wasn't doing anything! Keigo was the one that's looking toward me and winking! It's not like I was waving him over or whistling at him or winking back!
I bloody hate designers!
Mumbling under my breath, I knock on the door of his dressing room, walking in when he says so before sighing gently as I shut the door. The messy blonde male arching a brow as I run my fingers through my hair and grip at the roots, gritting my teeth. Noticing my frustration, he pushes himself off his seat and walks over to me, sliding his hands over mine and gently pulling my hands away from my hair, sending me a reassuring smile.
"What's wrong, baby bird?" Keigo asks tilting his head, rubbing his thumb over the back of my hand making me sigh gently, looking down at my feet, the male cupping my chin in his hand to make me look toward him, "Hey? What's the frown for? Where's that cheeky little smile of yours disappeared to?"
"I'm fine, Keigo, don't worry," I reply, pulling away from him with a small sigh, clearing my throat gently as I walk toward the skincare section and pull out makeup remover with some reusable pads, "Get your butt back in the chair so I can remove your makeup,"
"Nope, not until you tell me what's up," Keigo replies leaning against the table with a lopsided grin making my insides coil. Biting lip as I try to ignore the blush crawling across my face. A small whine leaving my lips as I look toward him. Why couldn't I win in these situations? He hums gently, "Come on, talk to me,"
"Keigo, I said no," I tell him, pouting in frustration as he leans against the table: not moving an inch. The male refusing to do anything other than stand until I told him what was up, "Just get in the chair,"
"(Y/n), come on, what did those bastards say?" Keigo asks, pushing himself off the table and walking toward me again, trapping me between him and the table as he looks into my eyes, "Come on, you know you can tell me,"
"Fine..." I reply softly, biting my lip nervously as he looks at me expectantly, "The photographer and the designer think it'll be best if I don't attend the shoots... apparently I'm a distraction to you. So they're planning on bringing in another makeup artist to fill in for the shoots to take my place.."
"Woah... seriously?" Keigo asks with wide eyes, staring toward me shocked before huffing and rolling his eyes and shaking his head as I nod, "What a dick! So I can't have a little fun during my shoots, now? And I'm not having some hag touch my face, I'd rather have someone I trust,"
"You trust me with your face?" I ask arching a brow as I cross my arms over my chest, "That's a very bold move coming from you, Keigo,"
"Well I know you make a good job of it," He replies with a small grin, poking my nose gently with his finger making me giggle softly, "Wouldn't want to trade you for the world, baby bird,"
"Eurgh, don't get all sappy on me now, bird brain," I reply with a giggle, pushing him away lightly making him chuckle and sits down (finally!) with a small grin, "You'll make me gag,"
Chuckling, Keigo closes his eyes and allows me to finally remove his makeup. The male waiting patiently as I swipe the makeup remover soaked pad across his face to rid him of any foundation, eyeliner, bronzer, eyeshadow and lip liner. His eyelids fluttering whenever I glide the pad over; his wings fluttering gently with each movement I take. The male relaxing under my touch as I turn to cleanse his face before toning. Letting him relax as I complete a skin care routine.
As I go onto moisturising his face, a small knock wraps against the door making me pull away slowly and wipe my hands on a towel. It's not one of the makeup artists, is it? Or the director to rip into me more about 'distracting' Keigo when it's a load of bullshit? However; the winged hero seemed quite elated at the sound of knocking at the door. Did he know who it was? Did he invite someone in without telling me? Is he going back on his word? Keigo's bright yellow eyes flutter open before spinning the chair toward the door, eager to see who's behind it as he allows whoever it is inside.
A small shock comes to me as I see who it is. I didn't know his name exactly. Only recognising him from the U. A. Sports Festival on tv from a couple months back. A boy, around the age of fifteen or sixteen, walks in. His upper half was bird - like, a crow - like head with a hooked beak and beady thin red eyes. Around his neck sat a red choker, snugly fitted around his human neck. The boy must be in his hero costume. Clad in knee high black boots and a cape that drapes over his body.
He must be Keigo's intern.
Keigo's mood brightened almost at the sight of him. The bird headed male nodding toward his mentor as he clears his throat gently. The elder grinning happily, ear to ear, toward his intern before tilting his head as his wings spread.
"Tsukuyomi! How was school?" Keigo asks eagerly, chuckling gently as the younger sighs under his breath, "Was it good? Eraserhead working you to the bone as usual?"
"It was fine," he replies rather bluntly, looking toward me within seconds making me send him a polite smile and wave, "Is this the girl you keep —"
"Shhh!" Keigo hisses cutting him off with a glare (trying to hide it rather terribly when I look toward him). The older male making cutting actions with his hands.
"Oh I see, she is," Tsukuyomi replies, you could hear the teasing laced in his voice as he looks toward Keigo, his beak making it difficult to identify his emotions, "Are you ready for patrol?"
"I raised you better than this, Tokoyami, where are your manners? You haven't introduced yourself," Keigo playfully scolds as he runs his fingers through his hair with a mocking smile, "Poor girl doesn't know who you are and you've just rocked up into here,"
"Apologies. I'm Tokoyami Fumikage," he introduces, holding out a hand toward me for me to take and shake back, happily obliging with a smile, "I am Hawks' intern,"
"I'm (Y/n)," I reply as I shake his head, pulling away softly with a giggle as Keigo squeals, "Keep your panties on,"
"You guys are so adorable!" Keigo coos poking you cheeks making me roll my eyes and stick my tongue out, "You sure you don't wanna do hero work?"
"Keigo, for the last time, I'm not going on patrol with you so you can use me as bait," I reply crossing my arms over my chest making him giggle and rub the back of his neck, "You and Tsukuyomi will be fine together,"
"Why must you make me suffer?"...
