Dumbass we have a meeting today with the new company. Come fast.

Me:
Coming.

I totally forgot about my meeting today and the next second, phone was ringing. But it was not mine, it was Amelia's.

She suddenly woke up and picked up the call. "Shit, I'll be there in half an hour." She said and cut the call.

"You are also in a hurry? Wow even I got a call to come fast, what a coincidence." I said chuckling like an idiot.

"That's because we both overslept idiot." She said rushing to her room.
Even I went to get ready.

While having breakfast she told me that her company got the first biggest offer. I was happy for her.

I dropped her to her office and reached my company's building.

I saw Jason running towards me.
"You're late bro, we still have a lot to prepare before our meeting with the advertising company." He said and we both hurried inside.

Jason was the company's lawyer. He was my best friend. He was always supportive and even though he was a lawyer, he used to help me with a lot of work, suggested me ideas for a new product and what not.

We completed the arrangements and it was time for the meeting so I and Jason seated ourselves.

After a while 2 women entered the room. As I looked at them I was shocked. It was Amelia and another girl. What the hell. We were collaborating with the company she worked in? How come I didn't know about that?

Jason nudged my shoulder from side and whispered "What is your wife doing here?"

"I don't know, I guess she works in that company." I told.

"You guess? Bro you dropped her like twice to her company and you don't know? Like seriously, did you not care to see the company's name?" He said.

"I don't know bro, didn't seem that important." I said casually but only I knew how surprised I was.

"Guess someone was too busy staring at his wife to observe the name of the company." He said smiling like an idiot.

"Shut up idiot."

AMELIA'S POV:

As we entered the room, I saw 2 two men talking something and then suddenly one of them turned their heads. Shit. It's him. No, no, no I'm not gonna do a presentation in front of him. If I go wrong somewhere, he will tease me to death. Noooooo!!!!!

But its my job, I can't afford to mix private and professional life.

Be professional Amelia, you can do it.

"Nice to meet you sir, I'm Emily Parker. Emily said shaking her hand with Edward.

This is my employee and friend Amelia Williams." She said pointing towards me and I shook my hand with him.

He smirked at me. That idiot.
"Hello, Ms. Parker I'm Edward Hiller and this is Jason Evans." He greeted and we started with the presentation.

The presentation went well but we got stuck at 2-3 places. I observed Edward who was keenly listening to whatever we were saying. I expected him to tease me in middle of the presentation but he didn't. He was serious when it came to work. That's a new side of him which I hadn't seen before.

After we completed the presentation, the other guy, Jason looked impressed and started clapping with a smile on his face but Edward didn't. He was still pretty serious.

"It was good but you need some corrections." He spoke bluntly and came to me who was standing beside the computer.

Then he stopped when he was centimeters away from me and turned towards the computer. Emily also came near the computer.

He started explaining us where we needed the corrections but I couldn't hear him. I was just so distracted by our proximity. He looked so hot while working. His jawline, the way he explained everything, ahh why is he so sexy, I just wanna grab his face and- wait what the fuck am I thinking? Ew ew noooo way. I shaked that thought out of my head.

"I didn't want to insult you Ms. Parker, I just had some suggestions that's it." He said to Emily.

"It's okay Mr. Hiller. If you have any more suggestions, please contact Amelia." She said pointing at me.

"What's her full name again?" He asked knowing that she didn't know that he was the person I was married to.
"She is Amelia Williams." Emily repeated.

"Uh huh, you would want to correct that, she is Amelia Hiller." He said smirking at me.

"That sounds familiar, wait isn't that your initial, wai- what the fuck Amelia, dont tell me that he is-" she was cut off by him "Yes she is my wife." He said which gave me butterflies. 'Wife', that sounded so good coming from his mouth.

"Oh good lord, what are these wonders?" She said overdramatically and was about to faint when Jason held her. Oh god, this girl. She should be in movies.

"You wouldn't want to fall down now, do you?" Jason said to Emily whom he was still holding.

"Oops, I'm sorry." She pulled away from him instantly. I could see tinge of pink shade on her cheeks.

"You guys can start your work from tomorrow. We will need a model for the advertisement, so I'll prepare that by tomorrow." Edward spoke like a true businessman. I mean I know he is one but I just can't take in his new side. It's just so different.

Emily agreed and we bid our goodbyes. Before going I could hear Jason wink at Emily and say "Bye Emily" for which she went close to him and said "It's Ms. Parker for you."

That was slayyy like I didn't expect her to do that after that scene in the meeting room. Jason's face was a little scrunched up and honestly, I felt bad for him.

As soon as we reached out I asked her "Why would you speak like that to Jason, he seemed like a cute boy."
"He is so good I know but I'm not. I told you that I would never like a guy who is involved in my professional life, if I talk to him, I'm scared that I might fall for him and I'll be unable to concentrate on my work. And I don't want to give him any hopes." She said sadly.

"But Emily, how can you say that you like him in the first meeting, it might be that you blushed in the meeting room because of you guys' proximity. Any girl would feel that if she gets that close to a guy." I said rationally.

"Maybe you are right, he might have given me a friendly feeling. Okay, just leave about that and tell me why didn't you tell me that it was his company?" She asked me staring at me with a cute pout on her face.
"I myself didn't know until I came here." I said.

Emily so wanted to attend my marriage but she couldn't due to her grandmother's demise. That is the reason why she didn't know how Edward looked and what his name was.

We talked for a while and she dropped me home.
"Hey Hannah, how are you? And how's your daughter? Is she fine now?" I asked Hannah who was chopping vegetables in the kitchen. Her daughter was 9 year old and unfortunately she had asthma.

"Ya, we showed her to the doctor and he said it's normal for asthma patients." I could hear the sadness in her voice and hugged her from back
"It's okay Hannah, she will be fine. Could you bring her here on the weekends? I want to play with her." I said putting my head on her shoulder.

She chuckled and said
"Okay, now get off me, the food will get burnt. And please don't tell Eddie that my daughter, Ella has asthma
He cannot bear it, he loves Ella so much." She said sadly.
"Okay, I won't tell him"

"Are you both planning to kill me? And what did you say Amelia? Edward...what?" Edward entered from behind staring right through my soul.

I gulped. "What are you talking about? I don't know anything." I said innocently.

"Oh, really?" Saying that he picked me up and threw me on his shoulder.

"Put me down, idiot," I said hitting his butt.

"Not gonna happen until you tell me what you both were talking about?" He said running around the house.

"Oh my god stop, it's nothing we were just talking about her daughter when your name came in the middle that's it," I said and he put me down.

"Oh", He said.

"Ok?" I said raising an eyebrow.

"I'm going up." He said running up, that idiot.

We ate our dinner and I went to sleep in my room and I suddenly woke up in the middle of my sleep. Ahh, that stalker guy is haunting me. I was sweating and I rushed to Edward's room without thinking twice.

I slowly opened the door and saw him sleeping, so I tiptoed to the couch and slept there, I was sweating and shivering and I couldn't sleep on the couch too so I finally gave up and silently climbed onto the bed. I sneaked into his arms and hugged him tightly.

To my surprise, he instantly kept his hand under my head, hugged me tightly, and kissed my forehead. I found a smile already forming on my lips. He was so sweet at night but in the morning he becomes a devil.
