HR 52 : FAITH STRENGTHENING STORM

Sanskar felt that soothing touch on his palm and held his wife's hand firmly. Ragini moved adjusting her head on his shoulder. He leaned his head to rest on hers.

Nothing great was he doing. Just watching the light out of the window.

"why did she do that?  You were there right? Why didn't you stop her?  Why did you let your sister kill herself" Sujata begged him for an answer.

But he was silent. Silent from the time he seen the blood oozing out of Uttara's head. He was blankly staring and hardly recorded anything around him.

"You could have saved her Sanskar. You could have.... " Annapurna spoke as her voice choked.

He did not even blink his eyes. Ragini stood beside him placing her hand over his shoulder. That was the only sense his brain recorded. He left a breath he was holding and blinked off some water out of his eyes.

When the men started to carry Uttara on their shoulder he quickly tried to reach her. But due to the numbness in his legs he stumbled. Ragini held him and looked at him painfully.

"Uttara..." he called looking in her direction. He reached there but his father stopped him nearing his sister more.

"You could have saved her" he looked at his son disappointed.

Sanskar collapsed on the floor defeated. He lost his words again.

Ragini cried looking at his condition. She knew he will never forgive himself.

She looked up at him hoping for an emotion other than regret. But sadly he had nothing.

She closed her eyes letting those held tears.

Ragini placed the food bowl over the dining table where Sanskar was sitting.

"You know Ramdulari was saying she is so bored without you" she spoke in a hope he will reply or at least smile. But he did not.

"Aren't you amused how your wife is patching things up with your ex" she spoke but he just ate the things in his plate.

Ragini watched him disappointed.

"I tried to explain it so many times that there was nothing he could do mom." Ragini held her mother in law's shoulders.

"Why Was she there in first place and what did he spoke that she took such a drastic step?" Sujata demanded.

Ragini felt Laksh's eyebrows shrinking and his gaze pointing at her.

"she..." Ragini tried finding a reason.

"You also have no explanation or you are trying to protect your husband?" Laksh stepped beside Sujata.

She closed her eyes huffing.

"I don't want a criminal's opinion on my husband" she snapped at Laksh.

" This incident doesn't make your husband any lesser than a criminal" he smirked. She so wanted to slap that smirk off his face but it wasn't the right time to get infuriated on a person as worthless as him.

"Fine. Nobody is ready to believe me and I can't handle Sanskar being blamed for something which was not in his control. So it's better we move out of here" Ragini spoke sternly.

"She was his sister for god's sake. Why will he want this. He is pained more than any of you. Why can't you people see that" she pointed at him.

"I have no other option" she walked to him and helped him to move with her.

Ragini walked inside the room and found Sanskar sleeping on the edge of the bed facing his back.

She slowly moved in and walked towards him and found him pretending to be asleep. She smiled sadly and walked to her side of the bed and lied on it.

When she felt his presence near to her she turned and found him crumbled.

She moved close to him and placed her hand over his cheek caressing it lovingly and moved to his head to place a caring kiss.

Sanskar buried his head in her bosom and dragged her towards him..

She rubbed his back to console him.

"Hey. It's okay. I'm here" she whispered and her voice calmed him a bit.

"I could have saved her. I could have saved them... Why do I let people die?  Why?  " he spoke in a cracking voice.

"Sanskar" she brought his face to look at her.

She pecked his lips.

"It wasn't your fault. It was never" she nodded her head.

"And you don't deserve to blame yourself" she looked at him emotionally.

"I think I will loose you also" he stared in her eyes with his moist eyes.

"As far as it is in my control I am not gonna let you loose me. I won't" she nodded her eyes.

"But if someday I have to leave this world..." he covered her mouth and nodded his head in a NO.

She moved his hand away and smiled.

"If someday....  It happens just remember one thing that I will be there beside you always. Though you won't feel me, though you won't see me. But I will be around you." she spoke nearing him.

He captured her lips with his and conveyed all his emotions in that passionate kiss. She stroked his hair and he dragged her more near to him.

His hands moved over her back and she felt herself arching her back at his touch.

As they broke the kiss he dragged her into his embrace and they slept in each others embrace.

Sanskar nodded his head closing his eyes once again.

"No....  I don't want to do it" he looked at his wife helplessly.

"You have to... I am not letting you torture yourself like this." she crossed her arms near her chest.

"Ragini please. I beg you.  Don't force me to do it. I can't do it" he looked down as he did not wanted her to see his tears.

She left a breath and sat infront of him. Holding his cheek with her one hand she lifted his head and gave a weak smile to her.

"Sanskar... Look at me... " she demanded. And he met her eyes. She hated it when his eyes swell and tears were at the bay.

"Why do we fall?" she whispered gently.

"To learn to pick ourselves up" she leaned to kiss his forehead.

The soft touch of her lips made him close his eyes and he let out the tears to flow in his cheeks. She wiped them with her thumb and touched his forehead with his.

"Why are you still putting up with me when all I have is nobody" he locked her gaze and her smile widened.

"Because you put up with me when all I had was nobody" she pecked his lips and he formed a thin line out of his lips.

"You have to be back in the world. To make it clear to the people that it was never your fault." she sat beside him placing her head on his shoulder.

Their fingers locked perfectly with each other and Sanskar watched the union of their palms.

"As far as you are on my side I don't want to clear anything to anyone" he kissed her forehead.

"But you need to prove it to that bloody snake that he did not win this" she thought in her mind tightening Her grip on his palm.

It was the slight revealing darkness or the presence of the expected intruder which made Laksh smirk he had no idea.

"I very much expected you here" he smirked a darker shade.

"I am not here for the word play"

"Oh then why are you here Bhabi saa. After fooling my brother to join back the company I don't think you will be needing anything else" he mocked.

"Don't be so over thoughtful Devar ji. We haven't even started the counter attack." she smirked.

"On your mark" he saluted her.
