Ragini sat up with a jerk. Her forehead was covered with sweat and her eyes wide. She looked around and suddenly her head started to hurt. She held it and pressed the band aid to get a bit of relaxation. But the pain went on increasing.

She was hyperventilating still. The nightmare was scary though she did not remembered anything. “Hey” Sanskar who just walked back to their room sat beside her worried. “What happened?” he handed her a glass of water which she gulped in a go.

“J..just a bad dream I guess” Ragini pressed her head a bit. “It's alright.. I'm here” he dragged her into a comforting hug and she relaxed. “Sanskar” she spoke after some time of silence.

“Hmmm” he hummed patting her head lightly. “Remember I wanted to tell you something in the hospital?” she looked up at him and he narrowed his eyebrows. Then it flashed him just before Sumi came inside the hospital room Ragini wanted to tell him something. “I want you to relax now. Please Biwi” he pleaded her.

“Unless I tell you that I can't be at rest” she pleaded back. “Okay fine. Tell me” he brought her to face him and waited for her to speak. “I felt..” she stopped like she had forgotten what to say and Sanskar waited for her to continue.

“I felt the same way” she looked into his eyes. “Felt what?” he asked. “The same type of hit which I felt when Swara was drowning in water and I was requesting you to help her. It was him” she pressed her fingers.

Sanskar's eyes went wide as she finished her sentence. “But..” he got up suddenly. “Are you sure?” he asked her and she slowly nodded her head in yes. “How can he?” he squeezed his forehead skin. “He has done it once. Why can't he do it again? Like you said about Uttara” Ragini looked at her husband.

“He can't do it” Sanskar nodded his head. “Why? Just because...” “Because he promised me that he will not harm you” Sanskar bent in front of her and soon regretted what he spoke and cursed himself.

“What?” Ragini stumbled as she stood up. “What do you mean?” she neared him. He did not answer. “Sanskar” she held him by his shoulder but he looked everywhere but in her eyes. “Look at me” she demanded. He left a breath he was holding and looked into her eyes.

“Is this why you saved him? Was it because of me?” she asked as her eyes started to tear. “Ragini...” he said like a defeated man. “Tell me” she said determined.

“Please. Just let it pass” he requested. “I won't” she spoke stubbornly. “I need to know this. You got Laksh out because he threatened to harm me?” she asked this time directly and he closed his eyes pressing his lips against each other.

“Why?” she asked as her voice cracked. “It was your only aim in life to punish the culprits who snatched Kavitha from you. Then why did you let him go just to save me? Why did you not punish him for snatching the girl you loved truly?” she asked him.

“Because I love you” he held her by her shoulders. “And I don't want to lose you” he nodded his head biting his lower lip to control the emotional outburst. “I don't want to lose you because I love you more than anyone I have ever loved” he dragged her into a possessive hug and Ragini burst into a cry. She covered him in her embrace and they stayed like that for a long time.

She came out of the hug and placed her one hand over his cheek and he held her hand. Closing his eyes he let out the tears as they stood touching each other's foreheads. “When you were around then how did you even thought anything will happen to me?” she asked.

“I was with you this time also. But you know right what happened? I could have lost you” he said pressing her hand and she pecked his lips. “He cannot break his promise. He cannot...” Sanskar spoke and moved to go out but he felt Ragini's hold on his wrist. She nodded her head in a NO.

“I have to talk to him” he cupped her face. “And you think he will confess why he is doing all this?” she asked and he was speechless. “He is not the way he looks Sanskar. He is doing this for some purpose and we have to know it first” she requested him.
“And I will do it in my way. You won't be involved” he warned. “I can't let you do this alone” she neared him. “Don't follow me in every damn problem for God sake” he said annoyed looking at his stubborn wife.

“Then stop running into every damn problem” she said with determination. “I have to do this to keep everyone safe. Our family.. you” he looked at her with love. “And you are failing in it because you aren't listening to me” she bent her head holding his hands.

“Fine. Let us do this together then. But promise me you will not purposely land yourself in trouble” he said and she glared him. “What you think I am?” she asked annoyed. “Queen of trouble land” he chuckled. Ragini opened her mouth wide and started to hit him but Sanskar held her wrist and dragged her into a caring hug.

“It's time to sleep” he picked her and moved towards the bed and Ragini dangled her hands across his neck and stared into his eyes with the same love as he had.

He placed her on the bed and slid beside her and she placed her head over his chest and he stroked her hair strands. She started to play with his shirt and he smiled nodding his head. As they lied in each others arms after such a long time which looked like ages they don't know how and when they both drifted to that most peaceful sleep they ever had.

Their hearts knew how much they missed each other so they were beating with the same rhythm.

Ragini stirred in her sleep and opened her eyes slowly to find her husband staring at her with a huge smile plastered on his face. “Good morning” he spoke. “Good morning” she spoke in her sleepy rasp voice. “You had good sleep?” he asked and she nodded her head and yawned.

“Still sleepy?” he asked and she nodded her head in a NO. “Just need a good coffee” she said and he took his hand away where Ragini's head was resting. “But more than that yes one more good nap” she held his shoulder and dragged him back and he smiled looking at her.

“If I don't get up who will get you your coffee?” he whispered in her ears tickling. She smiled with her closed eyes and adjusted her head on his shoulder. “Coffee can wait. You be here for some more time” she looked into his eyes.

Sanskar moved the hair strands scattered on her face slowly and she smiled at his care as he bent to place a kiss on her forehead. “At times you become so cute na Biwi... I don't feel like letting you go ever” he said and searched her eyes and she blushed at his remark.

“Why do you even think of letting me go then?” she asked. “Now sleep” he dragged her head and patted it lightly.

Sanskar stood in front of the mirror adjusting his tie when Ragini hugged him from back. He held her hands and turned to her. “Don't go to office na today?” she pouted cutely and he couldn't help but admire her cupping her face.

“I have to. It's regarding important client. Otherwise I had strictly told Shreya not to disturb me for the whole week” he stretched his lips forming a thin line. “I will be back soon” he kissed her forehead and picked up the laptop bag.

He caressed her cheek with his one hand. “And take care. Don't even step out of the room. Did you get that? Not even if there is some huge earthquake or for that matter anything” he warned. “Yes Major” she saluted him and he nodded his head and walked out of the room. Ragini pouted and walked to her bed. As she rested her palms and bent back a wide cute smile spread over her lips.

Rudr shoved off the hand on his shoulder. “Brother” Rajat spoke looking at his hand. “I made it crystal clear big brother that
I won't tolerate even a scratch on Ragini. You broke your promise” he spoke sipping the coffee not even turning to his brother looking at the sky resting his right foot on the railing of the balcony.

“It was a sudden change in plan Rudr. I wasn't aware of it” Rajat stood beside him to grab his attention. “I don't care. You should have refused it” Rudr gave Rajat displeased look which made Rajat drop his shoulders.

“I wanted to but I got no time. And you know how dangerous they are. We are in this and if we don't follow the instructions we won't survive. Don't you remember what happened with Kavitha?” Rajat's eyes turned glassy. Rudr closed his eyes and hit the railing frustrated. “I am not ready to lose Ragini that way brother. So only I am trying to drag her away from Sanskar as soon as possible. I don't want her to have the same fate like our sister” he hugged his elder brother who could understand his brother's plight. “Don't worry brother they have to pay for what they did with our sister. I wish she hadn't backed off from the plan she would have been with us now. But she fell in love with Sanskar and lost her life” Rajat closed his eyes and let the tears flow.

“We will surely even it. And the time is nearing for it” Rudr said determined as he came out of the hug and looked at his brother who nodded his head.

Laksh looked up from his system when he saw someone entering his cabin though his secretary was stopping him. “Sir... you can't get inside like this” Laksh's secretary spoke.  “Shut up and stay out” he closed the door and turned to look at Laksh. He signed his secretary to stay out.

“You had promised me Laksh” Sanskar held Laksh by his collar and dragged him close dangerously. “What are you talking about?” he looked at him confused. Sanskar was about to speak but he saw the wound on Laksh's neck and his hold loosened. Laksh stood away a bit adjusting his tie.

“You are so barbaric Big bro” he said annoyed. “And you are a bloody criminal” Sanskar spat. “Mind your language Mr. Sanskar Maheshwari. This is my office” Laksh showed his index finger. “I don't need to learn to mind my language from a person who can't even keep his promises” Sanskar smirked.

“Okay. You are in a mood to talk in riddles. But sorry I have no such useless time to crack them. So please leave” he showed the door. “Really? Whom are you trying to fool Laksh? You were the one who attacked us. You were the one who hit Ragini” Sanskar neared his brother and Laksh stepped back.

“Are you sleep walking or something brother? Or is it kind of a joke? If it was then it wasn't funny at all” he said looking straight into Sanskar's burning red eyes.

“How low will you still stoop Laksh. You aren't even bothered that in this meaningless revenge or whatever it is you are harming your own family” Sanskar looked disgusted at his brother.

“You are not my family” Laksh screamed. Sanskar looked at him dazed. “You are not my family. Anybody related to you also are not my family” Laksh's nose flared up.

“And this is no revenge drama. This is not a property fight also...” Laksh looked into Sanskar's eyes.

“This is war” he smirked.

Sanskar twitched his lips looking at his brother. It wasn't any surprise to discover new faces of his brother.

“Then... Let it be the war... And I will make sure you lose it little brother. Now when you broke your promise don't expect me to be fair. And you know what happens when you push me to be evil. I am sure you don't want to see me like that again” Sanskar smirked and walked from there.

“I want you to be that evil again brother. I want you to be that evil... again... You think it's your game?” he twitched his lips. “Sadly it is not” he smirked.
