HR 41: I AM ADORABLE

Ragini's heart beat was so fast that the sound of it was echoing in the room.

"Calling me?"

She jerked and the cellphone in her hand dropped.

She closed her eyes taking a breath and turned to find Sanskar entering the room and closing the door behind.

"What did you do to Rudr?" she furiously walked to him when her senses returned.

"Woah. Relax" he was taken a back suddenly seeing her threatening tone.

"I haven't done anything to him" he walked to the dresser.

"I don't believe you" he looked at her through the mirror.

"That's not my ptoblem" he loosened the tie.

Ragini reached him and turned him by his shoulder.

"Tell me" she gritted Her teeth.

"Your phone still has the outgoing call facilities right? So call him and check" he turned casually.

Ragini gave him a look of disbelief and wiped the sweat droplets on her face and dialed Rudr's number.

Her eyebrows narrowed when he did not pick up the call.

"Hello"

Ragini relaxed when she heard Rudr's voice.

"Damn. What took you so long to pick the call?" she asked as she sat on the bed.

"I was driving. Sorry" he apologized.

"You're okay right?" she asked concerned.

"Yeah. Why?" he asked confused.

"No. Just casually asked you" she wiped her face again.

Rudr could sense something was wrong with Ragini but he could not understand what it was.

"Okay. Listen did you talk to Sanskar regarding Laksh meeting Rajat's sister?" Rudr enquired.

Ragini moved her gaze to Sanskar who was walking out of the washroom after changing himself.

"Um. No. I will call you later" she disconnected the call and watched him walk towards the door.

"Sanskar"

He stopped his steps but did not turn.

"Why are you playing this game with me?" she looked at him.

"Okay. Cut to the point. You jumped into this. I did not invite you like it is some facebook game. So stop blaming it on me" he turned to her casually.

"You know what?  You confuse me a lot. You were literally ignoring me just few days ago. And you want me to stay unaffected. And now look at you. You behave as if I'm invisible to you or some sort of contender" she spread her hands in air.

"I was ignoring you Mrs. Maheshwari because I wanted you to stay out of it. But what did I know? My wife the queen of trouble land has already dragged it on herself. Congratulations" he mocked her.

Ragini closed her eyes fuming.

"You think you are funny?" she crossed her arms twitching her jaw.

"No. I'm adorable" he raised his head with a smirk playing on his lips.

"Arghhh" Ragini stamped Her feet with annoyance and walked a bit left and then right not able to control the urge to blast.

"You so knew. I will tell you the name of the sender if you threaten me didn't you?  So you told a lie of harming Rudr" she pointed her looks at him.

"I know it's hard to believe. But I wasn't joking at that time. I literally had the wire cutter ready to cut the break wire of Rudr's Jeep"

Ragini looked at him horrified.

"But I just used a trick instead of that" he smiled widely.

"What... " Ragini was interrupted when her phone rang.

She silenced it and looked up at Sanskar who signed her to receive the call.

She did the same looking at Sanskar who stood like he knew what was she going to hear.

"Hello. Ragini I forgot to tell you one more thing. Sanskar had come to me. He was very upset that I sent you those pictures"

Ragini looked at Sanskar whose smile widened.

She disconnected the call and looked at her husband who looked like the biggest mystery.

"Ha... How...?" she fumbled.

"Simple. You called me the smartest man on the earth didn't you? How can I prove you wrong" he blinked his eyes.

"It's called hit and miss method. Have you learned chemical equation balancing? We just hit and check if the equation is balanced" he bent his head a bit.

"I just used the instinct and told him that he did very bad by sending those photos to you" he smirked.

"And that idiot started apologizing accepting that it was him who sent the pictures"

Ragini looked at him in disbelief.

"Now you believe that I'm not just smart..." he bent to her.

"Evilly smart" he smirked devilishly and Ragini shuddered for a moment looking the dark shade of his face.

He walked out of the room while she stood there still processing Her thoughts.

Does she really know him?  Why does he change his shades so often that it becomes next to impossible for her to know which is his real face.

When the dinner time arrived Sanskar clearly ignored Ragini which did not go unnoticed by all the family members.

Swara stood in front of Sanskar while he was walking towards his room.

"Swara you need anything?" Ragini asked as she approached her sister.

"Yes. I wanted to know from this man why is he hurting you?" she glared him.

"Swara. There is nothing like that. You are over thinking" Ragini held Swara's shoulders.

Sanskar chuckled.

"Sorry" he controlled his laugh.

"What was so funny?" Ragini asked him.

"I was amused at the fact that she thinks. I mean over thinks.  Apologies for my vocabulary" he covered his mouth.

Swara fumed and looked at him.

"Don't you dare change the topic" she warned him.

"Swara" Laksh walked there. He was really annoyed the way his wife was talking to his elder brother.

"Swara" he said calmly this time.

"Aren't you sleepy?" he asked trying to calm her and as well himself.

"Nope. She won't get sleep if she doesn't poke her nose in 10 different people's life. I think she had already done with 8 and me and my wife was the 9th and 10th in number. Isn't it bhabi?" he  gave her a tight smile.

"Sanskar" Ragini spoke sternly.

"And One more thing. Actually two more things" Sanskar looked at Swara.

"One. I can change the topic I am speaking Because god has given me this mouth for my use. Not to be a puppet to someone" he signed the puppet through his hand.

"Second. Oh forget it. I don't wanna waste my energy" he walked to his room leaving Swara to fume and Ragini look at him with her wide eyes.

Laksh folded his lips looking at both the ladies.

His brother knew the art of shutting people's mouth with a swag.

He raised his One eyebrow in appreciation and walked from there tugging Swara along.

Ragini who landed back to earth walked inside her room.

"Why do you hate my mind so much?" she held her paining head.

Sanskar turned to her.

"Becauase it has got freedom to assume things and does that even without giving it a thought" he walked to her.

"Why are you doing this to me?" she asked him helplessly.

He banged the door to which she was pinned to.

"Because I want you to be away from me. For now" he glared her.

"Just for now? Or for forever?" she asked painfully.

He closed his eyes fuming.

"Suit yourself with whichever option you like. Just stay away" he screamed.

The other family members were helplessly hearing their arguments.

Sujata was sad hearing it. She sat thoughtful.

Pari brought a glass of water for her.

Annapurna took it and walked towards Sujata signing Pari to go to her room and she complied.

"What is happening Jeeji. I can't understand anything. They haven't started their life yet and they are talking about separating" Sujata wiped her tears.

Annapurna made her drink the water and caressed her shoulder to console.

"It was ought to happen. I had told you didn't I. They aren't good for each other. Two stubborn people can only break" Annapurna spoke.

"I never knew Ragini can turn this stubborn" Annapurna spoke.
"But it was Sanskar who made her this way. So he has to face the consequences" Annapurna patted Sujata's shoulder.

Sanskar walked to the guest room in front of them and they kept looking at him.

Ragini sat on her bed placing her hands on her head.

She felt a shadow and turned to the window. But she did not found anyone.

She suspiciously walked towards the window. She turned when she found no-one.

Her eyes went wide as she felt someone's presence behind her.

Her forehead developed sweat droplets and she stood rooted gulping the hard lump down her throat.
