Thursday came and went. I didn't get to hear that stupid name after and I was glad. At least I had some peace and quiet. Friday though, I knew I couldn't avoid it for long.

It was party night, I knew somehow, someone would mention him. They always do. Annoying assholes.

If that didn't make my life bad, Katie and Mason were back together. She talked and explained. Now, they were sitting on the bench together, being cuddly and all and it made me want to puke. Drake was in a worse situation since he sat next to Katie. Poor guy.

Since we had a new comer to the group, we had to join two benches together, to which the juniors weren't happy about, but who cared?

The join of the tables meant that the rest of the soccer team decided to join us for lunch. The whole area was packed. The rest of the guys, who I only talk to during games were easily chatting around with Katie's friends and no one seemed to care about it. It also meant Max was there, next to Mason.

Max didn't play with us. Lord help me if he did. But, since he hung out with Mason and their set of soccer players, it automatically meant, he was invited into our gang. Even if I was giving death glares his way.

"You need to get laid."

I turned my attention to Tracy. This time, she was sitting a seat away, Bailey in between us, who was blushing.

"I mean it dude. How long are you going to keep glaring at Katie and Mason?" It got the attention of the lovers. Way to go Tracy. You're literally twins with Brian.

"Why don't you mind your own business Tracy and get out of my life?"

"Alan, don't talk to my friends like that."

"I wouldn't have to if she kept her thoughts to herself."

Tracy waved Katie off. See, even the girl understand where I was coming at.

"I was just stating the truth. Gosh, have you seen yourself in the mirror. The way you glare at the couple and then at Max would literally play with the other's mind." She paused, leaning in slowly. Bailey was squished between the two of us and I felt a little bad. She had no idea what was going on.

Or maybe she did. The girls would've filled her in by now.

"They'd think that you're crushing hard. On Max."

Now it was my turn to freak out. I didn't meet Max's eyes. Everyone at the table heard and now they were cracking up. Katie made sure she rubbed it in my face.

"What the hell is wrong with you?! How did you even come to that conclusion?!"

Tracy didn't respond. She was too busy laughing along. Bailey and I shared a glance. She was confused too.

"Hey, I don't get it either. Couldn't it be something else? What if he's jealous of the Mason?"

Traitor.

Wait what? Jealous of who?

"Jealous of Mason? No. That would be weird. Even if Katie and him are not blood related, they're basically bro and sis. But when you put it that way, jealous of Katie? Yeah, okay. That would work too, won't it Alan?" I was going to kill her.

Why was she suddenly teasing me of crushing on guys?

"But you seemed so satisfied at fighting him!" I continued to glare at her. How could she even talk nonstop? "Maybe you're into those kind of things?"

I was going to puke but thank the lords, Mason came to my rescue.

"Leave him alone guys, it's making me weird." Thanks dude. Then again, I couldn't saying any worse because Drake was too busy laughing his hat off to help him best friend.

"So it is Max? I knew that there was something else whenever you glared at him." Tracy was going over the line. "It's a secret message right? It's a 'meet me in Jojo's room when no one's watching' look."

I stood up. Why was my life a mess? Did I really have to find a girl to spend the night to prove to these idiots that I'm done with their shit? "You went over the line Trace and you know it. I hate him!" My finger pointed to the brunette, who continued to stare at me. I didn't respond. He didn't even try to defend himself. Asshole. "I'm doing as much as I can to cope with having him sit with us and all you're doing is rubbing it in my face."

Tracy didn't even look scared as she looked up at me. My ego, it's getting killed. "I don't know Alan, you've never actually fought with him in reality. It's always verbal."

"Trace, stop it! Are you trying to make him cause a scene?!" My sister was ignored. I wanted to laugh at her face. Now she would know how I felt.

"You want a fight? Fine, let's fight." I moved to stare at Max's forehead. "It's fight, dude. Get up, fucking asshole."

"Alan! Language!"

I could barely hear Katie over the cheering of the boys. I had my sleeves up and was out of the bench but Max didn't move.

"Sorry man, I'm not interested."

There was a chorus of 'ooh's and it pissed me off. Max slowly got up, packing away his shit and walked passed me. I clenched my jaws. The fucker knew how to piss me off. Everyone at the table continued to cheer and I took a moment to glance at Drake. He was sober now and he was slightly shaking his head no.

That did it and I flung back to get to Max.

He'd walked away fast. Almost inside the building. I was so close to grabbing his shoulder and tossing him to the ground.

"Alan!"

I stopped dead on my steps.

"Alan! Get yourself here in front of me now." I turned to find Mrs. Yeum a few meters away. I was glad that it was her who was on duty for the day. She tends to go soft on the students. "What to do you think you were planning to do? No fights allowed on school grounds Alan. Get back to your lunch or go to the principal office. Choose."

I tried to relax my body but my fists wouldn't unclench. "I'm heading to the library," I said through my teeth, turning away. Everyone could just go to hell.

I was ready to shut Tracy's mouth. It had to be done.

I knew it'd be easy for me too. I mean, I've been the captain of Stratford High's soccer team for two years. Girls line up to have a piece of me.

Liam's party just made things easier.

I'd get a girl by tonight and brag to the girl. Maybe even rub it on Max fucking Winters's face.

~~~
I wore what I usually wore. Tight jeans and a pain black t-shirt and my soccer jacket. I styled my hair back since I planned on getting someone and sprayed a scent so it looked like I tried. Tuning on my socks and shoes and pocketing my phone that beeped with messages probably because of the girls in the group, I made my way down.
It was getting late and I really wanted to get into bed soon. Practice was tougher than usual because coach saw that we were slacking off. And Mason was back to his usual self. Other than that, it was the same. Including the personal cheerleader of his. Max Winters.
"You ready?"
I jumped a little, not realizing that Mason was in my house. How long had he been standing at the door? Who let him in?
"I heard there's a party." I turned to see dad walking out of the kitchen, a can of beer in his hand. "Make sure you take care of Katie, Alan. And home before midnight."
I nodded numbly. Dad was early but I didn't have time to talk about it because he was already going into the living room and Katie made sure to announce that she was coming.
She skipped down the stairs and I did a double take on what she was wearing. Short shorts and a top that showed her stomach. She could've just wore her underwear instead. I could see a lot of her skin and I wasn't pleased.
"What are you wearing?"
Katie ignored me but I stopped her. Mason smirked and I wanted to punch him.
"Go change."
Katie stared at me before pulling away. Ouch, that kinda hurt a little when all I did was care. "Mind your business Alan. This is nothing. We're going to a party so stop being a wuss."
"Yeah, we're going to a party! And yeah, this is nothing! Go wear some actual clothes!"
"No, you're not my mum!"
"What're you guys still standing and talking about?" That was dad and I saw Katie's eyes widen. She pulled Mason out the door and I had no option but to follow them.
"Dude, relax. I'll keep an eye on her."
I glared at Mason, growling in annoyance. "You better or I'll be feeding your dick to the lions, asshole."
He winced and I smirked in satisfaction. Katie just rolled her eyes at me before taking shotgun in Mason's car. I guess I had to keep contact with the two since I was too lazy to get my own ride.
"You gonna be okay though Alan? Tracy's going to be there. And so is Max."
I didn't let Katie know that I was annoyed at her for bringing up the guy. "Oh yeah, it's fine. It's better that way anyways."
The couple shared a look and I rolled my eyes from behind.
"Just don't overdo whatever you're going to do."
