The three continued to walk further into the jungle to only be once again in awe at the floating jellyfish that floated in the air before continuing on their walk. Rhys noticed that (Y/n) seemed to be in a bit of a better mood than she was when they first arrived, it seemed to him that she and Athena have a rather rocky relationship. They stop to watch a group of the alien like jellyfish float in the air above and around them while they glowed and seemed to whisper softly, (Y/n) couldn't help but smile softly to herself as she watched them and Rhys took notice. "Something on your mind?" He asked as the young woman let out a breathless chuckle as her eyes continued to watch the floating creatures.

     "I wish I knew about these things while Jack was still alive. I would've told him to get a little place like this to put them in so we could watch them together." She sighed softly with a hum, "He probably would've enjoyed watching them too." Rhys smiled softly with a nod, wrapping an arm around her shoulders to give her an encouraging one armed hug. This brings a small smile to her face and it does to him as well. He looked over at Sasha as she admired a blue flower that seemed to glow like the other plant lifeforms. Rhys walked over to her while looking at the flower as well, she noticed and smiled.

     "After a while, you just sort of feel like you've seen everything... Like you can't be surprised by anything anymore." Sasha said as she continued to study the plant before walking away. Rhys looked at the flower and picks it, studying it himself before looking at Sasha. He gulped softly and walks up to her with a nervous look to his face.

     "Okay, s-so I'm-I'm going to stick this on your head, a-and-and please don't stab me." He stammered shyly.

     "Ooookaaaaayyyy....?" Sasha said in slight confusion as Rhys tucked the flower behind her ear.

     "And there you go." Rhys said as he pulled back a bit awkwardly with a faint blush. (Y/n) can't help but smile a bit wider at the exchange, it was cute.

     "Aww... Thanks. How do I look?" She asked while posing with a smile. The flower shook and squirted out a yellowish liquid onto his face, the jellyfish around them going from luminescent blue and purple to red and orange. The two can't help but start laughing as (Y/n) noticed how the soft whispers of the jellyfish creatures started to sound more aggressive, making her take a step back with unease.

     "Uhh, guys?" She said as the two notice as well how the creatures started to float closer to them, surrounding them in a almost menacing manner.

     "What the hell is that?" Sasha asked as they watched them get closer, Rhys started taking a few steps back and pointed to the jellyfish.

     "And this is why we can't have anything nice." He said as the jellyfish floated in front of them, almost waiting. "Red means bad, right?" Rhys asked as one jellyfish snuck up behind Sasha and zapped her, making her fall to the ground in pain.

     "Noo I think red means they want a cuddle." (Y/n) deadpanned sarcastically as the three began to run while dodging the jellyfish and their stinging tentacles. They start approaching a platform with fewer jellyfish as they ran. Once they were getting close, they stop and look back at the horde of red jellyfishes that continued to slowly float over to them.

     "Finally, something slow." Sasha said as they started to walk, dodging nearby jellyfishes.

     "You still want these back on Helios?" Rhys asked as (Y/n) rolled her eyes.

     "If I knew that they were dangerous then no." She said as they step onto the platform and look around for a button.

     "Uh, Rhys... There's no power!" Sasha exclaimed as the jellyfish got closer.

     "H-Hang on... I think I can jump start it!" Rhys said as he took out his stun baton and jammed it into the power slot, the console lit up with life and the platform started to go up. But at a very, very slow pace. "Oh, good. This is slow too."

     "Like I said earlier, not even 20 minutes ago, we're gonna die." (Y/n) said and gesturing an arm at the jellyfish, "Death by slow, glowing jellyfish and slow platform. I expected my death to be as epic as Jack's but this tops the cake, Rhys. Y'know I was kind of hoping my death at the least would have been by a slow, glowing turtle." She said sarcastically with a frown and huff, making Rhys frown slightly because she reminded him of Jack a little bit and it kind of annoyed him.

     'Ah but that's right, they were dating so of course it's understandable that she'd pick up on his sarcastic remarks.' He said in his head, knowing if he said it out loud then (Y/n) would've put a bullet in his head quicker than the jellyfish can fry him alive. As the platform continued to very slowly ascend, Sasha looked over the railing.

     "Huh. This is weird." She said as the jellyfish slowly followed them up.

     Fiona watched in panic as the multiple turrets started up before rapidly shooting at her before Athena quickly shielded her with a shield of her own. The bullets bounced off her shield as she scowled, "I thought your friend was going to shut all of this down?!" Athena shouted loudly over the bullets.

     "I know. I know!" Fiona said quickly.

     "Fiona? Everything okay?" Sasha asked over the comms.

     "Hey, the turrets are still active! WHY are they still active?" Fiona asked before Rhys chimed in.

     "Well, we had to make a little detour and then-" Athena looked over at Fiona with annoyance while trying to hold off the bullets.

     "SHUT THEM DOWN! NOW!" Athena shouted over the comms as the doors open to a dark room.

     "Okay, good! Let's get in." Sasha said while walking in, Rhys and (Y/n) followed before Rhys tripped over something and fell.

     "Oww. Damn thing that I... can't see." Rhys grumbled with a soft hiss.

     "Dumbass." (Y/n) said softly while looking around as if she didn't want Rhys to hear, but he did anyway.

     "You're so mean to me. Like seriously, who hurt you for you to be this coldhearted?" Rhys asked with a pout as he got back up.

     "That better be a rhetorical question, Rhys." (Y/n) hummed in a sing song voice as he pressed a button, making multiple screens of the jungle area to popped up. He began typing away on the console, Sasha peering past him.

     "Oh wow, okay." She said as they looked out the window to see the jellyfish lingering and crowding around the window, making the glass begin to crack, "Whatever you gotta do, you should probably do it faster than you were planning."

     "Yeah." Rhys said with a nod as he got back to the keyboard, using his cybernetic eye to match up the circuits for the security system. As he did that, the glass began to crack some more before an alarm started going off, making them start to panic.

     "Okay! What is that?!" Sasha exclaimed.

     "Sorry! I just have to go through all of these! And they're not la-labled... and it's... hard. Okay." Rhys stammered as he calmed himself down and went back to hacking. Soon the screen said SECURITY CLEARED making Rhys smile. "There we go!" He said before the smile disappeared when he looked back at the screen, "Oh crap. (Y/n), Sasha, look at this." He said as the two women walked up to him to look at the screen as well. Tabs of different researches and the old man from earlier popped up onto the screen.

     "He's an Atlas scientist?" Sasha asked in confusion.

     "Well, shit." (Y/n) murmured while crossing her arms.

     "Oh this is not good." Rhys sighed before the glass broke and the jellyfish began swarming in.

     "Come on!" Sasha exclaimed as they bolted out of the room and the doors shut behind them. A jellyfish started coming down towards them from above and Rhys looked over at the stun baton that was still plugged into the platform's console.

     "Of course." He said before the jellyfish knocks him off the platform.

     "Rhys!" (Y/n) exclaimed while quickly reaching over to grab hold of his arm, but it was too late as the ends of their fingers lightly grazed against each other as he fell and landed on the ground with a thud! "Oh shit, Rhys—!!" Her panicked voice echoed in the distance as he blacked out and fell unconscious.

Life's been insane and a pain in my ass, I also hope this chapter was good >.< Also, there might be a splurge of new chapters for this since i wrote them all last night. So I don't know if i should wait a little bit and then post them of just post all of them. That's up to you guys.
