The Beginning

This story starts in a small town. This town is no ordinary town however, actually, quite the opposite. It's a decent town near the border of a neighbor country, the thing connecting them is a bridge. The towns name is Zepher, named after its soft breezes during fall and spring, the most popular times of the town.

But this isn't a happy tale. It all began one day at my school. Yes, my school of all places. It all started with me, waking up and getting ready for school, hearing the ever present yelling of my younger sister and mother, mostly about my sister waking up for school as I did my usual daily routine. Our house was pretty normal compared to any other houses I've visited, certainly less pictures then one of my friend's house, thier house having pictures bloody everywhere on their first floor, staring at you with a happy look, almost too happy.

Anyways I got ready and eventually got into my mother's car and we were driven to school, "Love you" mom said as I got out of the car, "Love you too" I said back as I got out. I just get used to saying that to her over and over, like an autopilot of some sort. My sister huffed as she got out and rolled her eyes at her, "Love you mom" she said back as she closed the door.

My sister's name is Catherine, but me and my mom call her Cat because she acts like one all the time, sleeps, likes to do nothing and always looks annoyed. Me and her had wierd sibling relationship, we hate each other and fight alot, but sometimes we get along with some things, like games and funny pictures she finds on all her social media.

We both walk inside the school, like we normally do not saying a word to each other since we both now we're too tired to talk to each other, not that we wanted to anyways. I walked to my locker and immediately saw Walter, one of my least favourite people. I hate his guts about everything he says most of the time and just learned to ignore him. He was just mean to me all the time, even when we were just 'friends' even though he has a personality that just screams "I need attention". With a frown in his direction I turn and put away my jacket and backpack, grabbing my books and such for my classes.

Then a few minutes after I passed by her, Iris. I absolutely like her in everyway, except for the fact that I'm not a great conversation starter with her, especially since I like her more than a friend. On the plus side she likes me as a friend and seems to like talking to me occasionally, "Hey" Iris said to me as I stopped and smiled slightly and awkwardly, "Oh hey" I said, my tone sounding more tired than happy to see her, but my smile showed.

She was sitting down with her backpack and still in her coat, which she really seems to like to wear everywhere, I don't really know why. Either way I didn't mind her with it on, "How are you?" She asked politely as I sat down beside her looking at her, "Fine I guess, just tired" I admitted, laughing a bit nervously as I tried to play it cool as I was talking to her, "You?" I asked, "Same" she stated simply, "Oh cool.." I said, the conversation abruptly ending as I scratch the back of my head.

That's how most of our conversations went, other than the occasional rant about stuff, or her storys about certain things happening with her. One time she explained that she had to wear a pedometer so her mother would see how many steps she would take in a day, so she ran around the school the day, doing whatever and talking to all her friends and make her mother leave her alone. That story made me a bit annoyed at that, I get that you want to be healthy but, she shouldn't be forced to do that if she doesn't, she is fine to me even if she is, for a lack of better words, larger, she's still cute in my opinion. Screw anyone that says otherwise.

The conversation then picked back up after she then poked my shoulder, "Hel-looo?" She asked as I shook my head, "Oh sorry, I uh spaced out for a second" I explained embarrassed, "Riight, anyways" she began, "I was wondering.. do you want this apple?" she asked handing it to me, smiling hopefully. I appreciated the offer but I shaked my head, "No thank you, I'm fine" I stated honestly smiling at her, hoping to make her feel better. She gave me her regular happy go lucky look before nodding, "Alright" she stated simply.

I then looked at her, mustering any courage I had to try and say something to this girl, I really like, "Hey uh.. I was wondering" I started, "Wondering what?" Iris asked, "I was wondering uh.. would you like to-"

My sentence getting cut off by the bell letting us know we had 5 minutes to get to class as I bit my lip, "Oh I gotta go to class" she stated getting up, "Oh uh.. Yeah same here" I said, looking down at her, since she was pretty short, another reason why I like her alot, "Alright catch you later" Iris said as she walked away.

I wanted to punch myself for not telling her sooner. Bloody wanting to throw myself into my locker with my things and lock the door, in annoyance. I took a few deep breaths calming down as I begin to head to class and sit down sighing and burying my head into the desk ahead of me sighing in slight annoyance.

Then my friend Hugh came and sat down in the desk in front of my the same way as I smiled, "Hey" he said smiling, "Sup" I joked as I sat up and looked at him. He was a bit taller than me, pretty much better than me in any way but at least he's a nice guy who knows how to make me laugh, which is why I like him, "Ready for another day of knowledge?" I asked jokingly as he shaked his head, "Sadly" he said as I chuckled a bit, "Same" I added as then Jay decided to hop in our conversation.

Jay is another good friend but he mostly talks to High about their games online which I don't really play often and am no where near their skill level in said games, "You gonna talk to me anyday or what?" He asked snikering as I shaked my head, "Whatever at least I don't dedicate myself to a single game and complain" I stated smirking, since that's the majority of Hugh's and Jay's conversations, about salty games and venting their anger.

Jay frowned, "Whatever" he stated as I smirked, knowing that I kinda won. The announcements went off and we were then standing for the national anthem as always and sat down to listen to the announcements about the local events and such, which I didn't really care about.  We then began our class with simple review that I already knew and pretty much gave all the answers for, a love hate relationship that I have with this class, knowing mostly anything but always bored and not wanting to do squat.

Announcements went on through the background as I sat there bored, talking about an event happening there Friday as I yawned. I didn't wanna go because I'm not really into those kind of those things, prefering to catch up on sleep than spent my night staying up longer than I should be. The announcements then suddenly stated that we all head down to the auditorium to discuss certain school events, "Great" I muttered, "More boring conversations" he thought as I then went to the auditorium, sat down, nobody sitting next to me.. at least for a bit. That's when He came. Greg.

I bloody hate him. Everybody in the school likes him because he can sing well but, in my class because he doesn't know trumpet as well as myself I have to teach him and answer ALL of his stupid and obvious questions even though he's almost as experienced as I am, theory wise or even better! I'm the only other trumpet player in the class so he always asks me the most obvious questions about notes, how something should sound, etc.

He then sat beside me, "Hey" he said with his usual normal tone, "How are you" he said. I just shrugged, since I guessed that would make him leave me alone the fastest, "Is that a yes or a no?" He asked, I shrugged again. Greg sighed, "Ok.. well I was wondering how you wer-" "Just pay attention" I muttered, having an irritated tone. Greg nodded, "Oh ok" he stated as he then looked at the stage where the principal and vice principal were. They then sighed and told everyone to be quiet. I don't remember their names, but they don't matter as much in this story, it's mostly about me and my friends.

The principal then looked at everyone, "We are glad to see that we have reached the goal of our fundraiser, reaching a new high for the school across the school board" she said smiling as then everyone started clapping as I groaned, "I bloody hate these presentations, and the principal" I muttered as the clapping stopped. The vice principal smiled, "Yes, now as I promised, the person who contributed the most money is going to dye my hair whatever colour they want" she stated shaking her head, as if she didn't expect this to happen. Greg smiled, "And the person who did so was Greg Summers!" She declared as Greg jumped up smiling happily, "Come on up Greg" she stated as he then walked up as I shaked my head, "I also hate Him. Bloody stupid, jerk who won't get out of my head with his stupid questions and is somehow bloody popular" I mumbled again gripping my fists into balls, clearly frustrated.

Greg smiled as he got up there, "Yeah, I'm glad that we've all reached this goal, and I'm glad that I get to choose what your hair colour will be for 3 months" he stated as the vice principal nodded, "Yes yes, we'll discuss that at a later time" she stated. I sighed, "When can this bloody nightmare end" I stated as then the principal dismissed everyone but Greg as I headed upstairs back into my classroom, going through my classes but with one odd detail but I wasn't mad about it, it was quite the opposite.

Greg wasn't in my music class. It was probably because of the principal's getting him to choose a dye for the vice principal. Either way I didn't have to deal with him all class so that's a plus in my head. I played way better than I did without him as well, without getting asked constant questions and such.

The day ended as I then began to walk home, clearly exhausted as I then went home and fell asleep. I dreamed of myself being as popular as Greg and him being not as popular as myself, making myself seem way better than him in multiple ways, not asking questions and such, but that still didn't change him asking questions. Either way, I was happy within that short dream as I woke up.

I then realized, I wasn't in my house. I was about to scream before a hand slapped over my mouth, muffling my scream, "Shhhh" said a voice, clearly using a voice changer. My eyes widened, "Oh god Oh god Oh god. I never thought this would happen" I thought scared. Then a masked figure moved over to me, their mask was a white cat mask, covering their entire face, not showing their eyes, but clearly enough to see me, "Don't scream" they stated.

"How the bloody hell can you tell me that?!" I wanted to scream but could only think as I just stared at them as they slowly moved their gloved hands back, "W-who are you?" I asked. They chuckled and shaked their head, "Nuh-uh-uh.." they stated moving their finger side to side, "I'm not telling you that easily" they said, thinking they smirked while saying that, behind their mask.

I sighed, "W-why.. am I here? Instead of my.. h-house?" I asked clearly nervous and afriad, "Well.. you wanted my services.. you wanted to get rid of not one but three people" they said in a happy tone. I blinked, "Services?" I asked, "Yep. The principals and that Greg guy" they explained, "W-what did you do?" I asked confused, "Well.. you hated them.. clearly wanted them gone so.." they stated, "I killed them" they stated in a cold tone.

I suddenly went cold, "Y-you killed them??!" I yelled soon to be silenced by their gloved hands, "Yes. Now shut up before I kill everyone you care about" they explained. I nodded frantically they pulled their hand back, "I wanna play a game" they explained smiling, "You have to find me. I'm in the school. Listening to whatever you say. You have to say that you hate me to the person you think is me" they explained, "If it's me.. I'll kill myself. I'm not afraid of that. But if you say you hate to the wrong person.. well. They die just like Greg and the principals" they explained. My eyes widened as I frowned, "And I don't say I hate someone?" I asked, reaching forward to grab them, to realize I am tied up by ropes. They chuckled darkly, "I pick someone other than me to die. Preferably someone you know" they explained laughing. I started shaking, "But don't worry.. you probably will at least say that you hate someone sooner or later in the day.. right?" They asked smirking, "For now you call me September" they said, "Capishe?" September asked. I quickly nodded, "Good" they stated, "See ya in the morning" they said as then I got knocked out by a swift punch to the face.

Greg, age 15 male, short with light brown hair and eyes and always seemed to always have a smile on his face. He was a somewhat popular kid at school, and always seemed to have everything he ever needed. They told me about him before, so I can understand the pain that they go through every day with them.. I was glad to kill him.

Ms. Roberts and Ms. Walker, aged 30 and 34 respectively, pretty much your typical principals; well known and liked by Most of the school. They both have gotten on my nerves personally as a student with their happy go lucky attitudes. I know it's their jobs but they only seem to only want pay cheques at the end of the day. Even if they didn't mean to say it, I would've killed them eventually if he said so.
