obanai

social life: has been known to make his juniors and some seniors cry just because he felt like it. he is always taunting others with sanemi and watches as sanemi gets himself into fights but does nothing to stop him. because of this, he doesnt have many friends.

best friend: kyojuro, sanemi

gets annoyed by: tengen because he's always trying to create explosions in chemistry and giyuu

love life: people are too intimidated by him to have a crush on him but of course he has a soft spot for mitsuri who absolutely adores him too. they both like each other and it's so obvious to everyone but them, even when the other hashira (especially tengen and kyojuro) are constantly teasing them and telling them to "get a room".

academic life: he's average. mostly Bs with a few As every now and then, though he has gotten consistent As in chemistry. he doesn't try too hard in his studies but does pay attention in class.

favourite subject: chemistry, and his lab partner is giyuu. unfortunately for giyuu, chemistry is his worst subject and thus obanai is always trying his best not to scream at him during practicals as not only does giyuu not know what is going on, but he also won't say anything about what he doesn't know. it is a disaster. obanai has tried complaining to the teacher but the teacher can't do anything because they have fixed seating. sanemi often mocks giyuu with obanai after chemistry.

before school activities: does not eat breakfast and feeds his snake instead. he has a snake because it was his deceased father's old pet but his mother was too mentally unstable to care for it so he did, as it was the only thing remaining from his father. when his father died his mother also burned all the pictures she had of him and threw out his old possessions, so the only proof that obanai had a father is his birth certificate. (his father died when he was two years old so he doesn't really have any recollection of him)

after school activities: in the rock climbing club. cat feeding, and sometimes lunch with kanroji. he likes to watch her eat and see the excited sparkle in her eyes as she recounts her day, although he usually only orders a beverage at wherever they choose to eat

attire: wears a mask. he used to live with his abusive mother who was so psychopathic she cut the sides of his mouth in a fit of rage after getting fired from her job when he was younger before killing herself. (now, he is taken care of by kyojuro's dad who had legally become his guardian. he lives in the same house as kyojuro). another reason why he keeps his mask on is because he doesnt want people, especially mitsuri, to see his acne :< his uniform is a bit too big for him but he insists he will grow into it.

school bag: carries a big black bag with all his school essentials (including his snake).

quirk: has been caught by the other hashira talking to his snake before. tengen also always begs him to go to a hair salon but every time he tried to convince him obanai threatened to let his snake eat tengen's pet mice. he sneaks his snake into his locker every day and it's a wonder how he hasn't been caught yet.
