Chapter 4

The boy who's name was Adrian and who went to the Glandus High tried to get better but couldn't. Teachers and students, no, the whole school system was very difficult to beat. And things weren't made any easier for him at home either.

Today he was walking in the city after school. He passed a place that looked familiar to him and he had to smile a little when he remembered why.

Two years ago, when he was 6, there had been a coven presentation here where the individual coven heads represented their covens. That's where he'd met Terra and Ladrick, well okay, just Terra. She had offered him tea back then, but Ladrick, the illusion coven head, had taken it and drunk it. Shortly thereafter, he felt bad and the presentations were canceled, he felt so bad that they had to go back to the castle immediately. He still wondered sometimes what was wrong with him at that day.

"Oh look who's there." A voice woke him out of his thoughts." Adrian looked up questioningly and spotted Blake with some of his friends. "You see losers everywhere." The black-haired laughed as he stepped closer. "And especially when they're in boring covens like the illusion coven."

"That's not true, the illusion Coven isn't boring!" Adrian told Blake. Just as Blake was about to reply at Adrians comment grinning, someone else came ahead of him. "You're absolutely right."

The children looked surprised at the origin of the voice and Adrian couldn't believe his eyes at first. In front of them was a man, but it wasn't just any man...no, it was one of the 9 Coven Heads, to be more precise Ladrick the Illusion Coven Head.

Blake was smart enough to know who he was, so he smiled at him a little nervously and gave Adrian one last appraising look before leaving with his friends. Meanwhile, Adrian just looked up at Ladrick enthusiastically.

"Always these crazy kids." Ladrick giggled and looked down at Adrian. "So, so you're learning illusions?" The man pointed at the light blue collors on his school uniform. Adrian nodded, still a bit speechless. Ladrick giggled and sat down on a nearby bench. "Come on, while I'm here I'll take a look at what you can do."

Adrian looked at him a little nervously, hadn't expected that he should show a coven head what he could do, on the other hand he didn't want to refuse either. He nodded excitedly and created an illusion, then saw a bit nervous at Ladrick, not sure what the man wanted to see. Ladrick noticed it and stood up with a slight smile

"Don't worry, you don't have to give me a show, that's enough! It looks very real.", he stepped closer and wanted to reach through the illusion, but instead of his hand disappearing inside, he could feel the surface very clearly .

Surprised, he took off one of his two earrings and looked through it at the illusion. He touched the illusion again and then looked at Adrian as he reattached the earring to his ear.

"Amazing! People can even touch it and it's detailed!" he laughed happily. "You don't have a mentor, do you?" he asked, tend his head questioningly. Adrian looked at him surprised at the compliment and shook his head. "No..."

"Mh well! I'm Ladrick the head of the Illusion Coven, but I'm sure you already knew that because you are so nervous." Adrian's tail moved back and forth a bit.
"What's your name?" Ladrick then asked him. "Adrian," the younger stated clearly and Ladrick nodded, considering.

"Okay Adrian...how about you become my student? I could teach you more, I'm sure you'll learn fast." "Really??" Adrian suddenly asked, looking up at Ladrick, who just giggled. "Yes, really." Adrian nodded happily and his nervousness seemed to have left him too.

"Yes! With pleasure!" "Well, we can meet at the market square tomorrow afternoon, then we'll find a place where we can train." Adrian nodded excitedly. "Well see you tomorrow then." "Yes, see you tomorrow." Adrian said and then they parted ways.

Adrian only now seemed to realize that the coven head for illusions had just praised him for his magic and wanted him as a student. He hadn't even thought that his illusions were so good...he rarely showed them at school, preferring to practice when he was alone...maybe that's why he was so bad at school...

(Soo you wondering who Ladrick is?
He's my oc and that's how he looks like right now hehe:
