Creepy pasta
Written down is my own creepy pasta, and the video at the top was made by the YouTuber LavenderTown. You should go check her out, she makes amazing videos.
Who turned the lights on?
I was alone in my room, laughing at videos I found on my laptop. I don't normally like being alone, but since my sisters were on a retreat I had the room to myself and it was quite relaxing being by myself for once
I heard my mom call to me from down the stairs. "I'm going to the store!" She yelled. "Okay!" I replied. I heard the car pull out the driveway.
A few minutes passed, and I was getting hungry. "I'll just get some chips," I tolled myself.
I went downstairs to our kitchen and put some Doritos on a plate. I was about to go upstairs when I remembered something my mom tolled me.
"Wait, mom doesn't want me eating in my room."
So I ate the chips in our kitchen.
Once I was done I walked back to my room. I got there and the light was turned on. "That's weird. I could've sworn I turned the light off." I shrugged it off and got back on my laptop.
I was browsing recommended videos on YouTube, when I noticed that the funny videos started to be replaced by more scary ones.
The "Try not to laugh challenge" was replaced with "10 terrifying creatures you won't believe exist."
I decided to get off the laptop for a while. That's when a specific doll came to my mind, Red Rosy.
Red Rosy is a doll from a nightmare I had when I was only 5. I don't ever remember my dreams, if I dream at all, so it's so weird that I remembered this one rag doll from when I was a little kid.
I don't know why, but I got super scared. That's when I heard the front door open. Mom might be home, I thought. But I didn't hear a car pull up in the driveway. I always hear cars coming up the driveway.
Then I heard a step on the stairs. Then another. Then another.
I was so scared. I didn't know what to do, so I ran, as quietly as possible, to the light switch, turned off the lights, then hid under the covers of my bed.
"Go away, go away, go away, go away," I quietly muttered.
At least a half hour past, then I realized I had to get up. If someone was in my house, they weren't coming to get me, or they left. If they were still here I needed to get out.
So, very hesitantly, I lifted my head from under the covers.

The light was on.
I ran out my house, out of shear terror. I couldn't help but hear a small, child like, voice saying, "I want to see you, so I turned the lights on," But at the same time a deep raspy voice said the same thing.
I got to my neighbors house, gasping with tears in my eyes. She called my mom, and so mom came home right then.
Everything was fine after that, but sometimes, when I'm alone in my room in the morning, I wake up and the light on.
