Paper Aeroplane

Note: Where I'm from, we spell Airplane = Aeroplane
However I think Airplane looks much more aesthetically pleasing.
"Haruka?"
Takane stood by the windowsill in the classroom. Looking out over Tokyo, she could see storm clouds piling up upon each other, choking the horizon. Tokyo's grey and white buildings were competing in colour against the storm brewing.
"Haru- ka?" Takane turned around, looking for the frail boy. "What are you doing?"
"Ah Takane! Sorry I didn't hear you! I'm making a paper aeroplane!" "That's what's got your attention?... A paper, aeroplane?" Disappointment rung through her voice. Well, she wasn't really surprised Haruka was giving the airplane much attention, after all... what else did she think he'd be giving his precious attention to? Who else?
She just shook her head and shunned herself for thinking that way. She was thankful Haruka wasn't the type of guy who would look at a woman like that, it's one of the qualities she loved him for. But it did kinda touch a nerve that he was giving a piece of paper more attention than her voice. She practically felt ignored.
"Anyway... A paper aeroplane? What're you going to do with it?" She asked, trying to sound interested as she walked over to Haruka. "I'm going to fly it, silly!" The nickname made Takane blush the slightest. "Baka, you're going to fly that piece of paper in here?" "In here? Oh no! I'm flying it up on the roof!"
There were so many things that could go wrong if Haruka flew that thing on the roof, Takane couldn't even list the amount disasters that could occur if it flew off the edge of the building.
Takane was thinking of telling Haruka about the weather conditions outside, but she wasn't his personal weather lady, so she just went with it. She followed him up the stairs to the school's roof. The stepped out into the stormy like atmosphere, there was a slight breeze, and it was a hot breeze. The air was clammy.
"Ooh Takane! Look at the storm brewing!" Haruka seemed so excited by something so simple, where as Takane, she wasn't too keen on thunderstorms herself...
The two of them stood over near the edge of the building, right where the safety fence was. Some rays of light shone through the clouds and onto the city, but it was only a few mere seconds till they disappeared again.
Takane looked up to Haruka, who was standing beside her, his hands on the fence as he marvelled through the mesh at the weather conditions. He looked so happy, so content with himself. Without Takane even realising, a small smile found it's way into her usually bitter face. Haruka filled Takane's heart with a warmth she couldn't find in her video games and headphones.
"Still gonna fly that dumb plane?" Takane chuckled. Haruka turned to her and looked into her eyes, smiling. "I could, but I think it's going to rain soon." "Hah..."
Takane felt weird, but it was a nice feeling. Standing next to Haruka, just watching the world before them without having to worry about anything or anyone else.
Then suddenly, she felt something even weirder that she had to get used to. Haruka's arm snaked around her lower back and pulled her closer to him. She felt her face heating up at a rapid pace as some sort of an instinct took over her and urged her to rest her head up against his chest.
She couldn't fight the smile on her face, and so she just let it appear.
"I love you Takane..." Haruka whispered as he held her closely to him. There was a hint of a blush on his pale face, but he was full of happiness and bubbly inside. "I love you too Baka..." Takane snuggled into him more, seeking his warmth like it was all she needed in this world. He was all she needed, all she wanted.
"Don't leave me, Haruka..."
"Shh... Only you could make my heart throb... Even when it's stopped beating."
"Thanks for the cruel reminder..." Takane wrapped her arms around Haruka as a hug, showing as much effection as she thought she could...until...
Haruka bought his lips down to hers and kissed her tenderly, lasting only a few seconds. It was enough for Takane to return the kiss, wanting more, but Haruka pulled back, leaving Takane with a very red face.
"Baka..." she smiled into his green cardigan as she buried her face into his chest once again.
As Takane was hugging Haruka, he took his paper aeroplane and threw it over the railing, sending it flying into the air. Then he wrapped his arms around Takane as he watched the paper aeroplane fly into Tokyo.
"I really do love you Takane..." "And I love you."
***Extended Ending***
"YOU BAKA YOU THREW THE PLANE OFF THE SCHOOL ROOF!?" Haruka sat helplessly in his chair as Takane hurled insults at him within the classroom. "WHAT IF IT HITS A CAR!? FLIES INTO SOMEONES EYE?! CATCHES ON FIRE AND THEN LANDS ON A BUILDING AND CATCHES THAT BUILDING ON FIRE TOO!???"
"T-Takane I didn't k-know" "DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HARUKA? YOU'RE KILLING PEOPLE OUT THERE!"
"T-Takane! Put that down! You could kill someone with that!!!"
