Kai's p.o.v.

I ran into my cousin on the way to the fabric store feeling extra happy today. My birthday's coming up and I seem to have made friends and my parents found a renfair coming up. I love renfairs , me and my friends went all the time growing up.

"Hey cuz how's it going. ", I say smiling as I meet up with her.

"Just heading to the store how about you.", she asks smiling.

"Heading to the sewing shop, parents are taking me to the Renfair they found so I need to work on my costume.", I say happily.

"No wonder you like the Host club so much since you like to dress up too.", she says.

"You know it, your so lucky to get to see them everyday since your in high school.", I say "Not to mention there all a bunch of cuties."

"That's cause you don't owe a debt.", she replies grumbling.

"Hey maybe it's a blessing in disguise. They bring a spice to your life.", I say "Hey maybe you can ask the hosts if they'll come to the renfair and you can come to. It'll be so much more fun with friends along."

"Kai, I'm sure they all have better things to do. But I'll ask them. ", she says and I smile.

"Thank you so much Haruhi, your the best cousin ever!", I say happily "well gotta hurry before the shop closes." I say running and waving.

Once inside I find the thread I wanted purchase it and run home. I must of stayed up all night sewing the top of my costume when Haruhi called me.

"Hey Kai.", she says.

"Hey cuz what up.", I say yawning tiredly as I sew.

"Hey I talked to the club, and they have other stuff to do.", she says " and I'm busy too."

"Oh, Ok. That's to bad then.", I say feeling deflated in my tiredness.

"Well you'll have fun anyways.", she says.

"Uh ya, no problem. Maybe we'll hang another time. ", I say feeling disappointed.

"Well talk to you later I got to go to school.", She says letting me go.

I sigh and return to work on my costume.

Few days later I'm headed to the fabric store again, and now I'm looking for a green for my cloak as I try to compare fabrics and match a good one with my top.

"Hello Ms. Kai , fancy seeing you here.", comes a cool familiar voice.

"Hey, Kyoya, what brings you to the fabric store.", I say.

"I'm picking up the fabrics the twins need for costumes.", he says as I tilt my head.

"What brings you here?", he asks.

"Well I'm trying to decide what fabric to use for the cloak on a costume I'm making.", I say smiling at him.

"What's the costume for.", he asks.

"It's for that renfair I asked Haruhi to ask you guys if you were available to go with me.", I say.

"Interesting, what is a renfair. ", he says putting a hand to his chin.

"People dress up and play games and pretend there from another place and time.", I say happily "I used to go with my friends in the states all the time. It's always more fun with friends. It's to bad your all to busy that weekend."

"You don't seem mad.", he says.

"Well Haruhi said you guys all had stuff to do. You guys can't help that.", I say with a yawn.

"You seem tired.", he says.

"Ya after I did my school work and a side job I was up late finishing up the top of my costume, and starting the skirt and breaches. ", I say the fair's this weekend so I have to finish it up."

"Yes according to my records your almost done with college.", he says.

"Yup that would be true, the Cia has nothing on you aye.", I say.

"Your related to a host club member and have been giving free help to us with some of our cosplays , so of course I'd know about you.", he says " Including that you've been texting with the twins since the trip to the water park."

"Well if your feeling left out you can text me too. You guys are so nice to me, especially the twins. ", I say as I grab a roll of forest green. " We're buds right. Oh but I won't answer at renfair, cause It'll be to loud to hear my phone."

"Of course, if you could give me your number.", he says pulling out his cell as I take it and enter my cell number.

"Oh and Kyoya.", I say noting his phone's sluggishness.

"Yes.", he says.

"Clean your phones cache, it's a little sluggish.". I say

"I forget your into tech.", he says.

"I doubt it Kyoya, you rarely forget.", I say as I instruct the length to the fabric cutter before I pay for my fabric and more thread.

"Your very astute, Kai.", he says.

"Thanks, your awesome to Kyoya.", I say as I shoulder my bag." Well I gotta go, got sewing to do and my boots need to be replaced since the ones I usually use got worn out."

"We'll talk soon Kai, sooner than you think.", he says as I wave heading out.

I skip a little ways until I open the door to another shop and smack into Mori and Honey.

"Hey guys, what are the odds running into you here.", I say.

"Kai-Chan I'm happy to see you too.", he says hugging me as Mori grunts. "We're looking at boots for a western wear or pirate day for the host club."

"Wow that sounds so cool. you'd make great pirates or cowboys. ", I say smiling "Actually I'm boot shopping here too."

"Wow that's cool Kai-chan.", he says as we step to the side and I yawn again "Wow you sound tired."

"Ya had a late night.", I say "I'll sleep in tomorrow."

"Well Hika and Kao-chan are in the store still looking maybe after your done they can give you a ride home.", Honey says.

"I got a few more errands to run so home will have to wait, so it'll be better not to bother them with that.", I say. " But I'll say hi if I see them."

"Ok, Kai-chan. but don't be afraid to ask one of us if you need some help.", he says as we hug again and I hug Mori before going in the boot store.

I don't spot the twins, but it's a big store so I head to the boot section quickly and start going through the suede ones testing them out for height, comfort, seeing which go best with my costume colors.

I'm glad I decided to wear a skirt the same length as the costume one to test the boots with. I was wearing a flowery blue skirt with a white tank and blue jacket as I walked in the boots when I heard arguing and realized it's the twins. They were apparently arguing Haru's shoe size to get boots for her cosplay, and didn't know the lady to men shoe size conversion. I looked around and realized they were down the aisle and hadn't noticed me yet.

"Hey boys Haru's mens boot size will be 2 sizes smaller than her ladies.", I say pulling off another boot deciding it won't work startling them as they look up and spot me.

"Kai?!", they say together "Why are you here?"

"Same as you, only I haven't found a pair I like yet.", I say putting another pair back sighing.

"Really, wow you look cute today.", they say as I smile.

"Thanks boys.", I say before yawning again.

"You sound exhausted.", Hikaru says as they come closer.

"Late night.", I say "I just can't find the right boots today." I mumble the last part.

"What kind do you need?", Kaoru says.

"Leather or suede and they need to go to the knee and be comfy enough to wear all day.", I say cause I will be wearing them all day.

"Oh and they gotto go ok with these colors." as I pull out my fabric samples from my costume and the twins take them studying them. If anyone can help they can. There fashion designers sons for petes sake.

"Hey Hikaru, what do you think?", Kaoru says.

"I think I saw a pair on the other side that may work.", he says zipping off and returning with a pair of black ones that go to the knees.

"Here try these.", they say as I slide the boot on and zip it up.

"How'd you guess my shoe size?" as I test the boots out.

"That's our secret.", they say.

"Do they look ok.", I ask.

"They look great.", they say thumbs upping. "Then I guess I'm getting these ones." as I box them and put my shoes back on before I yawn again.

"If you wait we can give you a ride home.", Hikaru says.

"Thanks guys but I have a few more errands to run and I have a late night ahead. So I'll have to take a rain check.", I say hugging them both,

"But thanks for your help." and I lift my bags and take my box to the counter exiting with my newest purchase. The fair would be so much more fun with my new friends to bad Haruhi says there all to busy.

I didn't notice the twins watching me leave as I was deep in thought heading out. I finished the rest of my errands and returned home and spent the night listening to Skillet while I sewed and finished my pants and moved to my skirt when my phone played Hikaru's ringtone which was Taylor Swifts you belong with me.

"Hey Hikaru what's up?", I say yawning.

Hikaru's p.o.v.

"We wanted to make sure you got home ok, you were pretty tired. Did you get a nap.", I ask then she yawns on the other end.

"I guess that's a no." and she chuckles.

"You guessed right.", she says "Here let me put you on speaker."

"So what are you up to?", I ask

"Sewing.", she says before yelping "Owie"

"What happened?", I ask

"Accidentally got myself with the needle.", she says "I need some sewing elves so I can nap."

"Nap anyways.", I say.

"Got to be done by the weekend.", she says "Or I won't have a costume for Saturday."

"What's Saturday?", I ask.

"Wow you and Kyoya too, remember I'm going to the Renfair. Haruhi said she invited you guys for me but you all have stuff to do she said." So we were invited and Haruhi forgot or didn't bother to tell us. "I used to go all the time in the states with my friends this'll be the first time I've gone alone."

"What about Haruhi?.", I ask.

"No she said she's busy too. Ouch!", she says "But what else is new with Haru, she's usually to busy."

"Me and Kaoru can help you finish up the sewing if you come to host club tomorrow and go to sleep.", I say.

"Na I'll be ok. ", she says tiredly. "I'll finish this up and go to sleep. Catch ya later Hikaru." at that she hangs up as my twin enters.

"Kaoru, did Haruhi tell you Kai asked if the club was busy Saturday?", I say looking up at him as he dries his hair.

"No, Haruhi didn't say anything like that this week.", Kaoru says " Only that Kai was busy this weekend."

"Apparently she invited the whole club to a renfair through Haruhi, and Haruhi said we said we were busy.", I say.

"Do you think Haru is trying to keep her cousin away from us?", he asks.

next day time skip to host club brought by Tiger Power(***&&*

We didn't say anything about my chat with Kai to Haruhi all day waiting to see if Kyoya knew.

Upon arriving Tamaki was looking at a pamphlet when we arrived with Haruhi.

"This looks fantastic, we should go as a club Saturday.", Tamaki says as I look and see a Renfair flyer in Tamaki's hands.

"I thought you'd think so, when I ran into Kai at the fabric shop, she was excited about the event. ", Kyoya says watching Haruhi who turned pale.

"Hey I was just talking to Kai about this on the phone, Apparently it's her first one alone since in the states she attended with her friends.", I say.

"Oh she'll be fine, she loves these things.", Haruhi says.

"She should have invited us, then she wouldn't be going alone tomorrow, right Takashi.", Honey says innocently as Mori nods and Kyoya smirks while flashing his glasses.

"Actually, she did ask if we were busy, but the messenger didn't relay the message.", Kyoya says.

"And apparently she was told we said we were busy."

"She told me on the phone she was going alone.", I say speaking up not saying how she sounded a little down.

"Were you the one that didn't relay the message Hikaru, how cruel. Now my lonely daughter must attend alone. ", Tamaki says as

Haruhi looks more nervous.

"It was me, I didn't deliver the message, Dang it!", Haruhi finally spits out as Kyoya stares at her.

"But why would you do that, Now Kai's going alone. If we were busy we could of made time or some of us could.", Honey says sadly "Poor Kai-chan."

"Cause I had other things to do. My cousin is rarely serious and I didn't want to spend a Saturday playing dress up with her.", She says "

Besides Kai will be fine alone or she can stay home."

"She's stayed up late most of the week making her costume.", I say "And she's gonna wear it there knowing her." my brother finishes.

"Is it safe for a lady to attend one of these fairs unescorted. ", Tamaki asks suddenly and I didn't think of that.

"Well my research shows there is drinking there, and they can get rowdy.", Kyoya says.

"Talk her out of going, get her on the phone.", Tamaki says.

I pull out my cell and pull up the speed dial and get her voice mail. "Hey this is Kai, leave a message and I'll get back eventually.",

"Kai, don't go to the festival, its not safe alone! Daddy forbids it!", Tamaki screams in the phone.

"Maybe we should just go and surprise Kai-chan. she seemed a little down the other day. This may cheer her up.", Honey says happily.

Then the door opened and in entered Kai She's wearing skinny jeans and a power ranger tanktop. "Hey guys I wanted to see if Renge was hiding in your floor.", she says.

"Why Renge.", Tamaki asks.

"She's got a lot of time on her hands, thought I'd see if she was available to hang sometime.", Kai says shrugging.

"How's your costume coming.", I ask and she lights up.

"It's awesome, I can't wait to wear it.", she says. "I just finished three hours ago."

"I wanna see it did you bring it.", Tamaki says.

"No. Hey Renge you in the floor!", she shouts and we cringe waiting and she sighs. "Well nice seeing you guys but I need to find a crazy French blonde about work on her new dating sims game." She then hugs each of us and exits mumbling about crazy girls.

"See, she's down about it. not bouncy like normal!", I say.

"Actually she seems sane for a change.", Haruhi says.

"Men we will surprise Kai at this festival so we can see her smile. Twins get costumes, Kyoya tickets.", Tamaki says as we scramble as he babbles locating costumes for a renfair and the next day we kidnap Haruhi and prepare for the festival.

next day.

"Why me?", Haruhi says.

"Because you didn't deliver the invite, and gave a false reply.", Kyoya says in a knights garb like Mori.

"Plus you make an adorable princess.", Tamaki says dressed as a prince. Honey is a rabbit and me and Hikaru are elves like in Lord of the Rings.

"How do we find Kai-chan?", Honey says.

"He's right Sempai, Kai might not look like herself.", Haruhi says.

"Let's split up!", Tamaki says.

Kai's p.o.v.

I couldn't even find Renge the other day to come with. I was passing a pub when someone grabs my arm.

"Hey cutie, wheres the hurry.", he says as I think of a fib when I spot Tamaki alone looking lost and get and Idea.

"I need to catch up to my Onisan.", I say innocently yanking my arm back as he eyes me.

"Your lying.", he says.

"Am not there he is.", I say pointing to Tamaki and wave at him shouting "Onisan!"

he does spot me but doesn't recognize me but I wave him over.

"Hello my princess.", he says.

"Awe Onisan your so sweet.", I say hugging him and whisper "please play along Tamaki."

"Imoto, I've been looking everywhere for you.", he says hugging back "come on lets find the others. "

He leads me away thankfully and I let out a deep breath. "You have amazing timing.", I say.

"What was that about?", he asks.

"He's drunk, thought I was cute enough said.", I say and he nods. "Thanks for the bail out, but why are you here?", I ask as he rubs the back of his head.

"Lets find the rest of the club and we'll explain.", he says.

"You mean your all here!", I ask excitedly "I'm so happy, why didn't you tell me I thought you all were busy?"

Hikaru's p.o.v

The rest of us minus Tamaki were waiting in the café now that we got a text from Tamaki that Kai had been located.

"Guys your all here!", comes Kai's happy shout as I look up from my shake to see Kai dressed like an elf also. Her hair is in kinky spirals framing her face with flowers in it , and she's wearing a tan tank, top brown skirt, tan leggings, a green cloak and the boots we helped her pick with a bow on her back and quiver. she also has glitter on her face and hair and pointed elf ears.

She looked amazing as she jogged over with Tamaki her face lit up as she jumped up at me hugging me as Kaoru joined the hug

and so did Honey, Tamaki and Kyoya and Mori.

The joy was evident on her face.

"What happened I thought you were all busy.", she says as I set her down.

"We had an opening and wanted to see you in your costume.", Tamaki says.

"Good job Kai.", me and my brother say together taking her hand and twirling her to get a full look of her costume.

"Yes It turned out we had nothing going on.", Kyoya says flashing his glasses.

"Wow you guys even dressed up to, wow your costumes are fantastic.", she says almost giddy.

She is so not like Haruhi, whose grumbling. "Oh wow this means so much to me that you came."

"We wanted to hang with you too Kai-chan. Your our friend.", Honey says as Mori grunts.

"You guys are the best.", she says cutely with a huge smile " I was thinking I was gonna be alone today."

"Well then lets go check out the fair.", me and Kaoru say smiling as she takes each of our arms.
