Darkness' P.O.V. 

The castle almost as black as night, in which I pull Will to the room and throw him in there before locking it up and leaving. My eyes narrows at nothing as I start to wonder why, why I felt like being watched when coming back and even that feeling lingers now. I really hope it's nothing but one must trust their gut. An Enderman walks up to me in a quick pace. "I'll take guard of the door, someone needs to watch it." He said it quickly and slightly nervous as if to avoid a conversation but also trying to do work. "Well, alri-" and he goes to the door to stand guard. "Actually, answer me this. Why would you want to stand guard there? There are plenty of more worth while jobs to do. There's nothing in that room either, it's all a stone cell with no windows. I don't think it's worth guarding." There's not even a window on the cell door, so it would be pitch black in there." "Well... Well yes, of course. I just need to be sure in case he actually escapes." He responds. "Ok, you're wasting your precious time because look at that." I point at point a specific symbol on the door handle before walking off to attend other duties. The symbol being in an ancient language causing it to break if anyone says it in their own original tongue. The words are in draconian, so it's very difficult to decipher. The only way to pass without breaking the symbol is if you put it on the door yourself and who you are in direct contact with.

As I walk further and almost about to exit the castle, I feel a tap on my shoulder and see Ulia's shapeshifting friend. "Oh.. you're still here. I assume you want something from me? And make it snappy." I tell her not wanting this to take long. "No, no. I don't want a favor or anything like that. All I want is to help." Upon hearing this, my eyes slighty widen with interest at what she could mean by this. "And what exactly will you help with?" "With Will of course. I could easily shapeshift into Carolin, how about it? I could scare Will off. Pretend to be Carolin." "What? Why fo you think I'd want that?!" "Well, I don't see why not. Why have him alive anyway?" "Because of Carolin. I'm having him hostage till I get what I want. Why do you think I'm keeping him alive? Because Carolin could literally kill me." The shapeshifter suddenly looks down in realization of her stupidity. "You're right... I'm sorry. If you wanted to, you would have gone through that a while ago." "Next time you have another big idea in your head then at least think it through or tell me."

Carolin's P.O.V.

As I lay on bed and stare at the ceiling, I think of the spy I sent. He's now guarding Will's cell but there's a magic symbol, so he's unable to teleport past it. It's unfortunate but getting through Darkness was never easy. I'd look at that portal more but I'll just leave it to the endermen and have them explain it to me. I move my body on it's side and pretend Will is there which causes me to hug which isn't the- A sudden knock makes itself heard. "Well, at least they knocked. Come in!" The purple eyed gentleman let himself in on my command. "Queen Carolin, we found Daphnea and Norasha. Daphnea is in a cell but Norasha is under a bridge." "A bridge? She must've escaped.. But how could she have escaped when they have no magic and when endermen teleport?" "Snuck off most likely. We've recruited enough endermen to match the numbers of Darkness' army, we could try and envade now?" "We'll invade soon but we must be sure first. You and the others must be given the right equipment. Armors, weapons." I explain definitely wanting to attack now but this has to be thought through.

"You were one of the endermen stuck watching the portal, right? Did you see anything worth noting?" "Nothing really. Daphnea, Norasha and Will are in the same position. However, we saw Darkness with unique looking potions reading a book with creatures we haven't discovered yet. I made a list." He tells me while giving me some paper written with ink from a quill. "Well, this is interesting I suppose. If that enderman I sent returns, bring him to me immediately. I want him to go get Norasha if it can be done." And with a silent but reassuring nod, he leaves the room closing the door as I'm left with my thoughts and a piece of paper. Looking at the paper, I recognize a most of the names from when I was in the human world. 'Wendigo. Finfolk. Siren. Mermaid. Jorugumo'. Jorugumo is the one I don't remember. Sounds like it originates from a completely different country. 

Wendigo, a goat-like creature who hunts those who commit cannibalism, be it survival or not. 

Finfolk, mermaids and mermen who kidnap humans to be spouses.

Siren, aquatic women who's hypnotic melodies send men to their deaths.

Mermaid, an fish-like creature who's the most popular among these names.

"Definitely can't be any of those out here. In a floating island world, I'd never believe it." I say to myself before thinking of Will yet again.
