Chapter 11: The moment

...One month passes...

Caroline's P.O.V.

I walk around the castle completely bored out of my mind's while wearing a pink and purple dress instead of the usual black and purple dress. I might as well as let Will out his prison- I mean, room. I make my way to where he is unless Daphnea and Norasha got to him first. As I make my way to the room a thought plagues my mind... There's a certain enderman called 'Hadvar', he hasn't came back in a week or two and it's causing me to grow a little worrisome. I sent two endermen to search for him. I get to his room which doesn't take long in the slightest. It's still locked so he's in there for sure. I get out my golden key and place it in the lock and twist which makes a clicking sound till it's completely unlocked and it swings open due to my hand pushing it. He's sitting in bed and looking through the large window to the pitch black sky. I don't say anything and walk to him. I grab his hand and take him outside the room not feeling like talking right now. "Caroline? Where are we going this time?" He asks as if he's with Daphnea and Norasha.

I don't want to let go of him and my hand trails up to his forearm and tightens it's grip but not enough to hurt him. I think of striking up some conversation but I don't know what to say. The question I ask is somewhat childish in a way. "Who's your favorite person you've met?" "Well... Hmm... You." He says calmly and  upon hearing this I go from not feeling like talking to having an energetic mood. "Well, I'm flattered." I tell Will about what he just said. Will opens his mouth widely for a couple seconds and I see it's a silent yawn and looking at this I realize how sleepy I feel. I lower my hand back down to his hand and walk him back to his room. Sure, he's possibly been around long enough for others to know not to hurt him but you can't be too careful, right? We walk and just like always, it doesn't take at all a long time to get there. I get out the gold key I use for this door and unlock it which makes a clicking sound. I push it open and step to the side as a gesture for Will to go first. He walks in and sits on the bed with his eyes slowly closing but weakly opening up.

I soon lays down on the bed without getting under the covers. He's lying on his back and looking up with his eyes staring into space. I go to the other side of the bed and lay beside him. I'm just a bit tired is all... I'll just lay here for a couple minutes or two. I'll get up soon. I look at him and his head soon turns to my direction of the bed, so now he's looking at me. I give him a warm smile. I close my eyes... I'll only close them for a couple seconds... Okay maybe a minute or more but I won't go to sleep, I swear! My eyelids suddenly feel so heavy but that's okay... I'll get up soon. Suddenly everything goes black.

... I wake up and we have our arms wrapped around each other. I feel very awkward about this. I see he's still asleep and I gently and slowly pull away in hopes I don't accidentally wake him up. As I'm almost completely out of the hug I hear Will groan which makes me think he could wake up at any moment. I pull away even more gently and slowly than before. I get up and off of the bed. I turn around to look at him and see he's slowly getting up and rubbing his eyes. "morning. Did I wake you?" I say with a question at the end and he shoots me a confused look. "I don't think so." He says and probably doesn't know whether or not If I did actually wake him up but I think I did wake him up. I see the door is still unlocked and is wide open enough to see the way we slept. I'm not that tired and feel completely well-rested due to the level of comfort of this bed. Will walks out the room by himself and upon instinct, I speed-walk to him protectively and put my arm around his shoulder. "Just stay by me." I tell himas I lock the door behind us. I grab his hand and walk him downstairs.

I walk further and he stops walking. I tug for him to move and he takes a step. I turn my head to look at him and see he's looking at a painting. The painting has a man with one blue eye and one orange eye along with black crack-like marks all over his body. "Who's that?" He asks pointing to it and I gladly answer his question "That's a god. He doesn't have a name so we call him 'The Illusionist' because of his abilities." I tell him. "What are his powers?" He asks. "He makes illusions happen and it's a bit hard to explain." "How so?" He says asking another question. "Have you noticed you ask a lot of questions?" I ask him. "Do I?" "... Yes..." I say in an annoyed tone.

(This is a rewritten version of chapter 11 because I thought the original one was too cringy)
