Ashly Potter had changed.

She was rather jumpy and well not her usual joyful self.

And did I mention she had a scar on her hand? It did cause everyone especially Ethan to freak out.

"Where and how did you get it?" Asked Daphne again, as they were on the train making their way towards Hogwarts.

Ethan held her hand and kept tracing the still raw scar softly as if trying to figure out how she got it.

Abraxas and Leo kept staring at her hand, looking like they were ready to murder the person responsible.

"I cut myself on accident." Said Ashly. No one bought it though you should see her in Potions class, or when they all would sneak inside the kitchen to make a snack for themselves well Ashlyn making a snack for them.

"Bullshit." Growled Leo.

"Did the people you live with..." Abraxas was cut short by Ashlyn.

"Ab. No."

"How did you get it?" Repeated Daphne.

"I told you that..." Ashlyn started again but well was cut short as Ethan pressed it down causing her to yelp in pain and pull her hand out of his it was still raw because it was freshly cut no doubt just a few hours back.

"Seriously. Dude not cool." She said grabbing a bandage out of her bag and starting to rap the cut.

"Dude?" Whispered Daphne barely audible.

"You can use magic to heal it." Said Abraxas looking at her.

"No."

Her friends did look confused, a lot this wasn't her. Sure she was stubborn but she just wasn't being herself. Ethan had his hand in a fist his nails digging his skin as he stared at the girl, his girl, his kinda-girlfriend.

Ethan took a sharp breath and grabbed her hand pulled her up and backed her against the window, Ashlyn matched the look on his face.

"Hey guys I know you are almost dating and all but please let my eyes stay innocent." Said Leo.

"Shut up." Said Ethan, as Leo raised his hands in surrender.

Ethan looked back at Ashlyn who still matched his gaze.

"Stop lying." He growled.

Ashlyn didn't reply.

"Tell me. No, tell us. Now."

Ashlyn took a deep breath, "Guys I tell you all everything. SO there is a reason I'm not telling you this, please try to understand. I'll tell you all what happened I swear when I can. Just not now. Please."

The others were just stared at her, as Ethan looked even more annoyed.

"You do tell us everything." Said Daphne softly.

"So tell us when you can." Said Abraxas.

Ashlyn smiled at them, "Did I mention I made new friends?"

"I- You- You made more friends? I'm hurt. I feel replaced! Oww, my heart hurts." Said Leo.

"Dramatic much." Said Ashlyn.

"Your heart's on the other side dummy." Said Daphne and a huge blush spread across Leo's face.

"Well, I still want to know who the fuck did that." Growled Ethan

Ashlyn took a sharp breath, she refused to look at him.

"It doesn't matter."

"It does." He said harshly and banged her against the wall again. Ashlyn flinched Ethan's eyes widened in horror, "Ash I'm sorry that- that I didn't I'm sorry." Ashly refused to look at him.

Daphne jumped out of her seat and pushed Ethan off Ashlyn and flew her arms around her in a hug, soon joined by the others. Except for Ethan looked at them and then left banging the door causing Ashln to flinch again as she looked where he previously stood.

"Don't blame him he was just worried for you. You barely sent any letters to anyone this summer." Said Abraxas.

"I'll talk to him." Said Ashlyn.

Ashlyn found him in the same spot where they first became friends.

"You can't just walk away you know. " Said, Ashley.

"Well, I did."

"Do you always have to be rude?"

"Sorry love it's in the blood."

"I missed you too."

"I didn't say I missed you."

"They told me."

Ethan lets out a small groan.

Ashlyn stepped forward as Ethan took a step back.

"What are you doing." He questioned.

"You know I've also gotten a little braver this summer.

" You were always brave."

Ashlyn had backed Ethan against the wall and went on her toes and kissed him softly, causing his eyes to widen, then melt into the kiss.

"I missed you." She whispered.

"Me too," Ethan mumbled between the kiss.

All of a sudden Ashlyn pulled back as if something terrible had happened.
"Ash?"

"Harry." She whispered.
"He has to be somewhere on the train."

Ethan looked at the girl with a smile "I'll tell the others, go find your brother."

Ashlyn smiled at him and gave him a final kiss before sprinting down the corridor looking through the windows on the doors and dogging people.

Ethan just stood there smiling fondly.

A tap got him back to reality. He turned around to see Leo looking at him with an amused expression.

"You're smitten and smiling like an idiot."

"She's just perfect." He whispered.

Leo smiled at him.

"Ya perfect for you... When are you going to tell her that your father... "

"Leo don't." He said and looked around as if expecting her to appear out of nowhere.

"She needs to hear it from you before she finds out from somewhere else.."

"I will- I swear I'll tell her but not yet. I'm not ready."

Leo smiled at him as flung his arm around his shoulder.

Ashlyn looked around until she found the compartment her heart was beating fast, what if he hates her? What if he thinks she ran away and left him? What if... She stopped herself and took a breath, and knocked she did the same secret knock they did when they were kids.

Within a second the compartment door swung open and there stood a boy with messy jet-black hair beautiful green eyes and circular glasses, looking like he had just seen a ghost.

"Ash?"

"Hey, Harry Berry. Miss me?"

"You..."

"Ya."

His bottom lip trembled he thought she was dead that the man with the white beard had taken her. Now, who was the Head Master of the school?

He was eating chocolate frogs with Ron, when he showed him Dumbledor's picture and Harry knew that man, he'd seen him take Ashlyn away and disappear into thin air, no one had believed him.

How ironic that just that second he heard the secret knock he and Ashlyn did.

"You're alive."

"I'm Standing right in front of you."

Harry jumped up and flung his arms around his sister oh how much he had missed her.
