Sirius woke up, his face mushed with James's shoulder and his hand wrapped around his arm. Last night, when the never-ending tears made another reappearance, James said what happened was good because he had always wanted Sirius as his brother. This way he could be with him without worrying about how Walburga was torturing him in that house.

"It's too early for thinking", groaned James. "What are you thinking about?"

"Reg. I left him all alone there. If they could force the dark mark on me, they could be doing to him and Reg wouldn't even oppose them", he said. Sirius loved his brother ever since he was born. He didn't know if Reg would have helped him yesterday if he were present but knowing he wasn't there felt like a good excuse. He wasn't quite ready to part ways with his little baby brother.

"Where was he all along anyway?"

"Good old Lucy graduated with flying colors to take over the world as the death eater. His father threw a party and mother made him go to the party alone. I should have known things were wrong then."

James carded his hands through Sirius's hair. "No one could have guessed. Reg is Slytherin enough, Siri. He wouldn't need additional training. We still have years. We could turn him towards us. Don't worry."

Sirius relaxed beside him. If James wanted to take over the world, he could do that. Reg was just one person. It was easy for Jay.

They stayed in the bed, casting a cleaning charm on themselves, and talked about random things. It made him realize why being with James was easy for him. James makes everything easy for him.

"Would you like to kiss me?"

"What?", asked Sirius, confused about James's question. He had a stupid grin on his face.

"No, the way you were staring at me, looks like you would do it. Were you admiring me?", he said, waggling his eyebrows.

Sirius rolled his eyes. "You already have a big-head, Jay, according to a certain someone. Don't let it get any bigger. The plan of getting you married to that someone is still on."

In retaliation, James just punched his arm and sighed, looking at the ceiling.

"Nope, Jamie boy. No thoughts of that someone while I am lying beside you", he teased. This was what he was talking about. It was easy. Jay was easy.

Their pseudo-serenity was disturbed when Misty apparated in their room. "Master and Mistress have returned from the Black house. They asked if you two were ready to come downstairs for lunch anytime today."

"That line has mom written all over", muttered James, before sitting up.

Sirius chuckled and followed him downstairs.

Sirius was engulfed by a hug from Dorea as soon as he stepped into their living room and started petting him. When Dorea worries, she smothers the person with love, same as James. "Mrs. P, all okay?"

Without answering, she pulled the boy to the couch where Charles was sitting with a dark look. James sat on the other side of Sirius and slipped his hand into the latter. When she talked, she was looking at James mostly, without really releasing Sirius from her hold. "Sirius's accidental magic had blasted the people unconscious and they have been unconscious since then including the house-elf. The whole living room was a mess and it's the Black house we are talking about. We collected his school stuff and had to call in the Aurors to revive them. Charles gave a complaint of child abuse but we know they would get out. Abraxas is still in the ministry and so does Cygnus. They wouldn't dare say anything to Cygnus."

"I really want him to cast the killing curse in their sleep", said Charles.

James grinned at his dad. He was up with that idea. As if guessing the reason, Dorea threw a mild stinging hex in Charles's direction. "Stop putting ideas into the kid's head."

"As if he isn't capable to come up of his own", muttered his dad.

Dorea ignored both of them and kept on petting Sirius.

"Mrs. P", started Sirius, when no one talked, "aren't you going to throw me out?"

"What?"

"After the mess I have created at my house? I am a Black. I have dark magic in my blood", he told. He was always afraid of the Potters realizing it sooner or later. He could always go to Uncle Alphard. Alphard has the same Black blood as his.

James snorted beside him. "You don't have dark magic, you idiot."

"I do", he protested. "How could I blast the darkest house in a century?"

"Oh my baby", said Dorea, pulling him into a hug. "It was your accidental magic, kid. You must be terrified for your magic to cause that huge of damage. I am so sorry we couldn't pull you out of there sooner. I am so sorry you had to go through that."

Sirius's mind was spinning. The Potters change his thought process completely. When James joined the hug, he put a halt to his thought process. The Potters were mad. But they were his.

When everyone had somewhat sorted their emotions, Charles pulled out a tiny stone from his pockets and enlarged it. It had Sirius's school stuff, his wand, his OWL results, and a few of his clothes. Sirius grabbed his wand and felt a piece of him returning. He then took his OWL results and gave them to Dorea. "I was writing the letter to you but couldn't finish it yesterday."

Dorea gave him a smile and saw the results. Sirius hadn't been nervous about his mother's reaction, the way he was being now. It increased when Dorea had a frown on her head. "Sirius, how did you get the exact same grades as James? Were you two copying?"

"No, mom", protested James. "Minnie thought we would and made us sit in two separate rooms. If I didn't know better, I would think she gets a kick out of separating us."

Dorea rolled her eyes before kissing Sirius on his head. "I am so proud of you, love. And you have done all this in a few months?"

Sirius wasn't shy but the Potters usually brought that side out of him. "Jay and Remus helped."

Dorea chuckled. "See, that's what I am talking about. You two concentrate on something and you would achieve whatever you wanted. Why don't you celebrate today? Do you want to invite your friends?"

Sirius glanced at James and James nodded. "Just Remus and Peter", he told, perfectly understanding his unsaid words.

Remus came alone two hours later because Peter was on a vacation with his family. He was sorry he couldn't come. James had narrated in brief the events that occurred in the Black house. Remus hadn't reacted anything outwardly because it was Remus but then he stood up, dusted his pants, and clapped his arms. "You know what exactly we could do to celebrate getting rid of them from your life? I am taking you two shopping. In the muggle London. And we are eating in a muggle restaurant. They have opened a new restaurant in London called McDonald's. Apparently, their burgers are to die for. Guess who would be missing out on amazing burgers? The stuck-up purebloods."

James grinned and smashed a kiss on Moony's cheek. Remus is never mean but piss him off so much and you would witness his alter-ego Meany instead of Moony.

James went to find his mom, who was in the library working on something, to inform her about their outing. "Mom, we are going shopping to muggle London", he told.

Sirius and Remus were behind him but Dorea didn't bother to look up from her book as she said, "no, honey. No one's going anywhere. Stay at home or else you could fly in the backyard. That's the farthest you are allowed to."

"But mom, Remus is taking us", he protested.

"Remus?", she asked, glancing at them and smiled at the boy. "Hello, love. When did you reach here? Yeah, you can take them anywhere you want. Just be careful, yeah?"

"Of course, Mrs. Potter", said Remus.

James crossed his arms and huffed. "Why don't I get permission to go out but Remus does?"

Dorea smiled sweet and innocent. "James, sweetheart, after knowing you and Sirius almost your entire lives, do you still want me to answer that?"

Sirius laughed at that before he pecked her cheek and followed Moony. On the way, he had to drag James who was glaring at his mother in disbelief.

They went to London by train and then Remus took them to check for some clothes for Sirius and the latter informed the other two how he had put muggle posters in his room using a permanent sticky charm. Remus patted his back and James outright grinned at him. After buying some Jeans and shirts, Sirius dragged them to a stationary where he said they hide magical things. It's where he had bought his muggle posters. They were searching for the posters but then Sirius bumped into a man.

"Careful there, kid", said the man. "You don't want to break something there."

"I am already broken", said Sirius, grinning.

The man chuckled.

"You know what else is breaking?", said Sirius, with a frown. "By jaw. Because you look familiar."

Are you by any chance flirting with my dad?

He turned around and saw the one and only Lily Evans. "There it is. That's why he felt familiar."

"We don't even look similar", said Lily.

"Nope, but I have these instincts where I-"

"Hey, Evans", said James, interrupting them. "In the best of your interests, please don't get him started on his instincts."

"Hello. Are you two alone or is Remus with you?", asked Lily, laughing.

Right at that moment, Remus returned with a book and was startled to see Lily. But then he grinned at her, showing his muggle book.

"Oh, Merlin", muttered Lily as she skimmed through the pages of the book. "You would let me have a read, wouldn't you?"

"Get out of your little world, you bookish nerds", said Sirius and turned to Lily's father. "Mr. Evans, forget about them. Get a book in their faces and they would forget the whole world even if it's drowning."

"Don't you think I wouldn't know with having her as my daughter?", said Mr. Evans, making Lily gape.

"I feel for you, Mr. Evans", said Sirius.

The man burst out laughing before patting Sirius on his back. "Lily, are these your friends?"

"Yes, dad, this is Remus Lupin and the one you are talking to is Sirius Black", said Lily.

Mr. Evans shook his hand with Remus but raised his eyebrow at Sirius. "Serious? But I thought you were pretty funny?"

"You are not so bad yourself", said Sirius, winking dramatically. "It's Sirius, like a star."

Mr. Evans glanced at him before humming. "Suits you."

Sirius grinned at the compliment.

"And this is James Potter", she said finally.

Mr. Evans snapped his head at him, forwarding his hand to shake. "James, I thought we would meet much later", he said, confusing the boys and earning a glare at Lily.

Sirius grinned at her, having an idea about what he meant. As Mr. Evans engaged in a conversation with James, Sirius pulled her aside. "Not bad, Evans. I saw what you did there. So, you will be coming around then?"

Lily punched him in his stomach. "Tell him, and I would kill you", she hissed in his ear. When Sirius gave her a thumbs up, she sighed. "I don't have any feelings for him, Sirius. Not yet anyway. Please don't tell him. I barely tolerate him when he goes overboard with his feelings."

Sirius gave her a smile before pulling her into a hug. "Don't worry, take your time. I want you in my life, in his life. I wouldn't ruin what you might have by forcing you into anything. And it's okay even if you finally decide not to have him. James understands that too. He is genuinely trying."

"I know. I can see. That's the reason I am thinking of giving it a thought."

"Good", said Sirius. "Hug me some more and your dad would think it's I that have feelings for you and I don't want that. I am trying to get into his good books."

Lily broke the hug and rolled her eyes. "Why do you want to do that?"

"What?", he said, "He is my godson's grandfather and if you agree, my best mate's father-in-law. I need to be in his good books."

Lily rolled her eyes again before dragging Sirius to the other side.

Lily noticed something odd. After their shopping, Remus asked her father if he could let Lily join them to McDonald's and her dad said if they could drop her at home, it would be wonderful. Hence, the four of them were sitting in McDonald's at one of the corners with their burgers. What was odd was there was strange anxiety in James's eyes that she hadn't seen before. James emitted confidence but at the market when Sirius and she returned to them, it was there. Lily thought maybe he did believe a tiny part of the rumor that Sirius was cheating James with her because he was relaxed when he saw them returning. Right now, before they sat down, she was walking just in front of him when he whispered something in Remus's ear followed by Remus asking her to sit on the opposite side of Sirius while he and James went to order their food. When they returned while Lily thought James would be sitting beside her but then he surprised her by sitting beside Sirius and ruffled his hair. Even when Sirius was eating, he was looking at the boy from time to time until Sirius threw a casual arm around James, instantly relaxing the boy.

Ignoring the two, Lily and Remus got the conversation going with Sirius occasionally joining them until James burst out laughing, earning a few glances from the other people. Remus sighed as if he was used to it. "James, what happened?"

He grinned at the boy before looking at Sirius. "You know what this could be called instead of McDonald's? Walburgers & Onions", he said.

Sirius burst out laughing with them while Remus had a small smile even if he shook his head.

"What's the joke?", asked Lily.

"The joke, my dear, is my mother's name is Walburga and father's name is Orion", said Sirius before turning to James. "And Jamie, my boy, you are brilliant."

Lily rolled her eyes but even she couldn't help the smile on her face. She wondered what the purebloods would say for renaming their perfectly pureblood names into a muggle burger joint.

When they reached Lily's home, a horse-looking woman was the one who opened the door. From the hate emanating from the girl, he guessed it was her sister. Sirius thought his Reggie was much better than this woman. When he gave a sympathetic pat to Lily, she grinned at him. On the other hand, Remus smiled at her serenely and made small talk. The girl was pretty good at rolling her eyes but she was basking in his attention. When she left the room, Sirius pinched his arm. "Moony, she doesn't deserve your compliments. She is rude to Lily. Don't be nice to her. She would think you are flirting with her."

Remus was startled and frowned in confusion. "I wasn't flirting with her. I was just being polite."

Yes, you oblivious idiot. But then Moony was Moony. He was always oblivious to the girls admiring him. Sirius rolled his eyes earning a chuckle out of their pretty redhead and he threw a grin at her. "Evans, where can I find your father?"

"Hello, Mr. Evans", greeted Sirius, entering the study room. "Could I talk to you for a second?"

"Hello, funny guy. Come in. Take a seat."

Sirius laughed before taking a seat in front of him. "Hey, so I wanted to ask you something. I just don't know whom else to talk to about this. So, I am here. But-"

"Sirius, you are rambling", said Mr. Evans. "Unless you want to talk about a weird love triangle between my daughter and the Potter boy, I am okay with anything else. I don't want to talk about my daughter's love life."

Sirius grinned. "Do you have a funny bone too? So, do you like James? That's great. Also, are you afraid of Lily?"

Mr. Evans chuckled. "Yes, yes, and yes. But don't tell anything to her. She would totally kill me."

"I solemnly swear I wouldn't", he promised before bursting out laughing and Mr. Evans just did the same. "No, actually, I wanted to ask you if you know where I can learn how to ride the muggle motorbike thingy? Is it too difficult to learn?"

"So, I see you got a fascination for bikes3? Why not a car?"

Sirius shrugged. "I have seen cars. I live in a muggle neighborhood but I saw a poster of a motorbike and I couldn't get it out of my head. I just want to know how it works and maybe how to ride one of those."

"Well, you are lucky I have one. I could teach you if you are comfortable with me."

"You do?", he asked, grinning. Mr. Evans was even better. He doesn't have to pretend he was a muggle to learn the bike.

Mr. Evans nodded. "Why don't you follow me?"

Lily was close to crying as Remus told her about what happened last night with Sirius. Sometimes she wanted to ask the universe if it didn't have enough of making the boy suffer. Couldn't he catch a break for once and live happily? But then she saw James and noticed how his eyes were glancing at the door where Sirius disappeared in search of her father. Lily understood the reason behind his anxiety. It's like the boy couldn't let Sirius out of his sight. She would do the same. In fact, she wanted to do the same. When Sirius came back to the living room with her father, she pulled him into a hug and didn't let him go for a long time.

When she broke the hug, she saw her father raising an eyebrow at her. There was a question she needed to answer later. She could do that. But right now, she concentrated on the boy in front of her. "I am so proud of you."

Sirius grinned. "For being the most handsome person you have ever met, I suppose?",

Lily gave him a watery smile. "And modest too", she added. If Sirius wasn't ready to talk about it, she wouldn't push him. She didn't need to tell him she would be there for him. he knew. The weird bonding they had this past year, they were good and Sirius would come to her if he needed to talk. She didn't say he could come to her house if he needed an escape because now since he was with the Potters, he was in good hands. James wouldn't let anything happen to him. She wouldn't trust Sirius's safety more than with James. Hence, she kissed his cheek and muttered she loved him all the same in his ear.

The smile on Sirius's face was more genuine and bordering shy than his usual handsome grin.

Remus had dropped the two at the Potters before going to his home. When Sirius and James entered the house, Charles and Dorea were engrossed in deep discussion.

"Guys, is everything okay?", asked James, slipping his hand into Sirius's.

Dorea smiled at them. "James, honey, would you mind sitting down. Sirius, you too."

When they were seated comfortably, Dorea glanced at Charles once before taking a deep breath. "Sirius, love, you don't have to answer this question and we would understand why you have hidden this but I think I have been postponing this discussion. If you refuse to answer, I would give you space and no one would talk about it, okay?"

Sirius nodded, dreading the said question. He didn't know what he has messed up within a day at the Potters' house. James's hand gripping his was the only thing that was keeping him from bolting out of the room and hiding under the covers.

"Sirius, when you came yesterday, there was a dog and then you turned into a human. We understood you are an Animagus but your name isn't registered at the ministry. Are you unregistered?"

Sirius sighed. He was expecting the question. In fact, he should have confessed it yesterday but between all the mess, it had slipped from his mind. He thought about the answer. As decided yesterday, he could tell them yes and that it was his idea or something without involving the others. It was better that way. He glanced at James but instead of his best friend, it was Prongs on the floor and he heard the groans instead of the gasps like he got yesterday from the elder Potters. There goes his plan of keeping the others secret. When James turned back, he had a grin on his face before he sat beside Sirius and slipped his hand into his. He tugged at their joined hands. "Jay, you didn't have to reveal yourself. I could have said I was the only one."

It was Dorea who answered him. "Come on, Sirius. Do you think if you were an unregistered Animagus, James wouldn't be one? We had a hunch. That's the reason I am having this conversation with both of you. Now, how did you manage it without anyone knowing? And why? It's dangerous."

"Mom, Remus is a werewolf. He would hurt himself during his transformations. We studied Animagi during our third year and thought we could help Remus if we are transformed. We were trying since then but only recently could change into full Animagi", said James.

Sirius was altogether afraid for James but was terrified for Remus. Would they ask them not to be friends with Moony anymore? His parents would totally stop him from interacting with a half-breed. Mother would kill him and also Moony. Sirius was terrified.

"Sirius, breath."

He held onto the voice to help himself from drowning. When he realized his surroundings, he felt Jay's hands around him and the boy whispering to him to breathe. "Jay, Moony", he muttered.

"He will be fine. I would fight with my parents if I have to", said James.

They jumped apart when they heard a clearing of throat. "Son, before you elaborate your fighting strategy, Remus's werewolf, it's fine. And your nicknames aren't really a secret. Who would name him Moony if you want to keep his werewolf status a secret?", said Dorea.

"Blame James", said Sirius. "He came up with that."

"You are the one who wanted to call me Bambi. Moony is even better", argued James.

"Bambi is cute. You refused. Your lose. I am totally calling my godson Bambi", said Sirius, crossing his arms.

"Okay, boys. Very cute. But do I have to worry about a possible teenage pregnancy? Do I have a grandson", asked Dorea.

Sirius grinned apologetically at her. "Er, my imaginary godson. He is very cute."

James punched his arm laughing. "So, you are fine with Remus being a werewolf?"

Charles snorted. "James, I work in the ministry. Remus's parents registered him as a werewolf before he joined Hogwarts. It was the protocol when Albus convinced the ministry to let the kid have his education. Trust me, we know. A handful of us but sure."

Sirius and James gaped at each other. Sirius didn't know how to react.

Dorea sighed heavily before rubbing her forehead. "Coming to the matter at hand, do you two plan on registering with the ministry now?"

James relaxed and grinned at that. "Mom, why ruin our fun? I could use my Animagus form to kill Voldemort?"

"How?", asked Dorea, humoring him.

"Have you seen my form? I could stab him with my antlers."

She rolled her eyes. "Sirius?"

"I would if James would."

"As expected", muttered Dorea.

It was Charles who laughed at the two. "Leave it, Dora. If they are caught, we could pay the fine. That's the worst they could do to the kids their age. So, boys. Glad, you told us. From now on, no keeping big risky secrets, okay?"

James grinned. But Sirius frowned. "I have another big secret to confess."

"You didn't tell me?", asked James, heartbroken.

"You know", said Sirius, before looking at elder Potters. "I am Bi. I understand if you hate me for this but I am sorry."

He was tensed when Dorea huffed, stood up, and pulled him into a hug. "Sirius, you are loved here no matter what your preferences are, okay?"

Sirius nodded. "I am sorry."

Dorea kissed his head. "Okay, this would take time to understand that. And we would try to put this in your head. It's not an overnight thing and it's fine."

Sirius didn't know if he would ever believe any parent could ever love him but he was grateful for having them in their life.

Before leaving, Dorea called them again for a question. "Boys, the Animagi potion is a complicated one. If you are capable enough to brew the Potion, why have you just passed in Potions?"

"Mom, we are brilliant at Potions but Slughorn doesn't deserve to have good grades", said James.

"How are you not getting good grades affects Slughorn, James?"

"Because if we are getting good grades in every subject but just not in Potions, Slughorn would look bad, not us."

Dorea facepalmed at her son's logic.

When they went to James's room, Sirius cuffed his head. "Jay, are you mad? You could have been in a lot of trouble. I thought I would say I am the only one Animagus."

James grinned in answer. "Do you remember how we met? You were worried for me just like this?"

Sirius rolled his eyes. "Of course, James. I remember when you appeared as if you were rolled on the bed with your tux on. I have never been more scared in my 4-year-old life than I was on that day."

"Hey, you know, I have loved you ever since. What you are as a person is nothing to be ashamed of or scared of. You are just as beautiful inside as you are out. I promise I would not let anything happen to you, okay?", said James.

When Sirius felt his throat closing off, he hugged the other person who has been his entire world. "I love you, Jay." 

Okay, so I am feeling so sad for Sirius that I am projecting my feelings on the characters. I have made them say they love Sirius but it really is all me. Sorry. :P
