Kinda long :P
I'm sorry if there are any parts beside this that are bold. My Kindle has decided to be a total douchebag today :T
Part two? Yes? No? Maybe?

This couldn't get any better. The snow drifting softly out the window, the fire warming the room, the only light coming from its flames.

Peter was fast asleep in the armchair across from me. Lily has fallen asleep on James's shoulder as he was doing his homework. I was sitting in the floor, my back pressed up against the soft red chair, reading Tales of Beedle the Bard.

Someone hopped into the chair behind me, and I felt a small neck hug. I smiled as I recognized the black hair flopping over my eyes.

Sirius shifted, and I looked over to see him upside down, his head hanging off the end of the seat. I gently kissed his cheek.

Suddenly, a sharp pain jabbed me. I dropped my book and wrapped my arms around my stomach. Sirius sat up and looked down at me.

"Moony? You 'kay?" He asked worriedly. I nodded, but my eyes were shut and my breath was coming in short rasps. Lily, who had woken, looked at James and got up. She came over and knelt in front of me. As she took my hand, a soft moan escaped my lips. James woke Peter and they came over.

Sirius hopped down and put his hand on my face. I opened my eyes. His hand was shaking, but it was warm. I took it, but dropped it when another pain hit me. I clenched my stomach, tears streaming down my cheeks.

I felt someone pick me up, and saw Sirius, his black hair drooping over his eyes, which were filled with worry.

He set me down on my bed in our dorm. I heard James say, "Okay, everyone out. Give him some space. Peter, go get Madam Pomphrey." Peter nodded and ran off.

Sirius sat down beside me. "S-Sirius.... I... I'm scared..." I whispered.

"Shhhh.... Remus.... it's going to be okay."

I cried out in pain and Sirius wrapped me in a tight squeeze. A few minutes later, Madam Pomphrey came in, followed by James. Sirius reluctantly stepped back. I stayed as still as I could while the Healer took a look.

Finally, she pulled back and sighed. I heard Sirius ask, "Is he going to be okay...?" Madam Pomphrey said nothing. Then she walked out. Sirius and James sat beside me.

"Aye, Moony, you'll be fine," James assured, though his eyes were doubtful. He left a moment or two after, leaving me with Sirius.

Sirius got in the bed, facing the wall. I rested my head on his shoulder. He turned once to kiss me, then turned back. I groaned as my stomach clenched again.

Pain... pain.... pain... oh the pain.... so much pain....

I heard Remus whimper behind me, but he finally grew silent. I guessed he was asleep, and sighed. I felt him jerk, then there was a kick in my back.

"Hey! What the-"

I cut off, crying out as a sharp pain pierced my shoulder. I turned and saw a skinny tan paw clenched onto my arm, its black claws digging into my skin. I rolled away onto the floor, causing the claws to tear away strips of skin.

I got up and turned back to see Remus had been replaced by a huge, snarling, werewolf.

But... how...?

It was a crescent moon, not full. I could see it outside the window. Yet here was Remus,
a full on werewolf.

I ran from my spot as he leapt at me. He howled with rage and growled. I gulped. On his hind legs, he had to hunch to fit in the room.

"James! Lily! Peter!"

Yet none of my friends seem to hear as I leapt again as Remus pounced once more. Suddenly, he swiped and caught me on the cheek. I cried out in pain, and felt blood flow down my face. The force of the blow threw me at the door, where I was cornered.

I pressed against the wood as Remus inched forward, on all fours now. He snarled and I whimpered.

We were face to face now, his nose a few inches from mine. I stared into his eyes. Instead of the usual sensitivity, caring, and love, they were filled with rage and hate.

"Remus..."

Remus jerked his head and after a sharp pain in my neck, all went black.

"James?"

I opened my eyes sleepily to see Peter standing in front of me, fiddling with his fingers like he usually does when he's nervous. Which is almost all the time.

"Yeah, Wormtail?" I whispered, careful not to wake Lily or any of the other boys.

"Is Remus going to...."

I pulled him into a small hug. "Nah. Remus is tough. He's going to be fine," I said. I wasn't sure if I was trying to comfort him or me.

Peter whimpered and I sighed, realizing that all was quiet. I stiffened, imagining the worst.

Suddenly, there was a shriek and a crash. Peter looked at me, his eyes filling up with tears. Lily and the others woke up.

There was another scream and Lily looked at me, her eyes wide with fear. The three of us gathered ourselves and ran up the stairs.

"Stay down here!" I called to the boys, who nodded and obeyed.

We reached the door and I turned the knob, only to find it stuck. I tried every spell I knew, but nothing worked. Lily was holding onto my arm, crying. Peter turned to his rat form and tried to squirm under the door, but found no luck.

"James! Lily! Peter!" I heard Sirius cry. "We're coming!" I shouted back. The screams and crashes continued.

There was one last screech, but it cut off. The only sound was Lily sobbing and Peter's quick breaths.

I tried the door, whispering "Alohamora," one more time. All sounds stopped as we heard the click. Lily was still shaking, and I put my arm around her. We opened the door and stepped inside.

As James wrapped me in his arm and opened the door I gasped with horror. The sheets were torn and ripped, the curtains no better. One bedside table was on its side, the lamp on it shattered.

But the worst sight was Sirius. He was unconscious and almost as torn as the sheets, blood soaking his robes. The worst wound was a terrible bite on his neck.

I ran to him, almost slipping on the blood that littered the floor. Peter followed.

"Get away from me!"

I turned and saw James backing away from Remus, who was on the floor in a corner, his head buried in his knees, which were held up to his chest by his arms.

I got up and set my hand on James's shoulder. He hardly seemed to notice.

I inched towards Remus. As I knelt by him, he looked up and whimpered. "I don't want to hurt you," he whispered. I hugged him, and he cried into my shoulder.

James had left to get a teacher. Peter was crouched next to Sirius.

"Shhhh.... Remus.... it's okay. You're not going to hurt anyone," I said. He pulled back, wiping his eyes. "Can you tell me what happened?" I asked.

Remus told me all that he remembered, up until he changed. After he was done, he covered his face with his hands. I could tell there was more, but didn't want to pressure the poor kid.

Madam Pomphrey and James burst through the door. Madam Pomphrey ran over to Sirius, and James came to me and Remus. I told him what Remus told me. James listened through it all, a shocked expression on his face.

Finally, Madam Pomphrey came over. "Mister Black will be okay. Mister Lupin, I advise that you come with me. Mister Denorin has gone to inform Professor Dumbledore," she said.

Remus stood up, shaking so much that I had to help him. Before he went, James, Peter, and I pulled him into a tight hug.

"It will be okay," I said.

"That's the last thing Sirius said to me. And now look what happened. He's dead, and all because of me!" Remus cried. I held him for a few more moments. "It wasn't your fault," I said, "None of this was your fault."

Remus just whimpered and left with Madam Pomphrey.

"He will be okay, won't he, James?" I asked.

"Of course, Lily. Like I told Peter, he's a tough kid."
