Reading- Drarry
Harry and Draco share a dorm. Eighth year.
Draco sat on the couch in the eighth year common room, reading his book and minding his own business, when the golden trio walked in, noses red from the cold, and laughing rambunctiously. He attempted to ignore them, focusing on the love triangle in the sappy romance book he found in his dorm. But, he sighed in frustration as they continued to joke around and converse loudly on the other couch.
Mumbling angrily, he sent a glare towards the Gryffindors and got up to read in his dormitory. But, was shoved back down onto the couch by The Gryffindor Golden Boy. Harry stood glaring over him, the room had gotten deathly silent. "Potter what the fuck? I just want to go upstairs to read. By the way, your shirt is just tacky. I set out an outfit for you, and you didn't even bother it wear it." Harry's mouth dropped open. "I didn't like it, you lay out one of your crazy silk shirts every time!" Draco rolled his eyes. "Just because I like quality doesn't mean I'm a stuck up jerk, you have to look at my actions to find out that I'm actually a Hufflepuff." Harry looked at him shocked before remembering what he came over before.
"That's my book!" he exclaimed, crossing his arms across his chest. Draco looked at him mildly surprised, ignoring the incredulous looks being sent their way by Ron. Ron stood up, muttering something about quidditch and practically running out of the common room.
"You are reading this sappy romance book?" Draco asked, laying back down on the couch, with his back against a pillow on the arm of the couch, and opening the book back up.
"Yes and that's the part I'm at!"
"Well, I'm reading it!"
"So am I!"
"Wait your turn, Potty!"
Draco set the book down on his chest and looked up at Harry. Harry tapped his foot impatiently, still glaring at him. He smirked, and sat down on Draco's lap, cuddling his back against Draco's toned chest and intertwining their legs so Draco couldn't push him off. Draco groaned and pushed at him halfheartedly for a moment, before ignoring him and opening the book again. They sat there reading, until Blaise and Pansy stormed in, and froze as they saw the position they were in.
"Draco Lucius Malfoy! What do you think you're doing?" Pansy shrieked, before sitting heavily on a nearby armchair.
"They've been sitting like that for an hour. And I've caught them reading like this before, and just cuddling on their bed." Hermione said matter o' factly, looking up from the encyclopedic like book. "Their bed?" Pansy asked faintly, color leaving her face.
Draco looked up from the book, closing it and ignoring Harry's protests, just in time to hear a shriek from Pansy as she found out they shared a bed. "Not like that!" He said hurriedly, hoping he could keep himself out of a lecture. Pansy was famous for her lectures, the Slytherin house had been woken more than once by shouting from their princess, most times directed at their prince.
"What happened to never liking Potter? Why do you share a bed? I will write to your mother, but that may not work because she loves Harry. Maybe your father, but then he might break out of Azkaban and try to kill you both, so not such a good plan. And really, a sappy romance book? Usually you read mysteries and Harry Potter biographies and.......... YOU ARE WEARING YOUR PAJAMAS IN THE COMMON ROOM! I THOUGHT YOU ONLY DID THAT IN FRONT OF SLYTHERINS AND NOW THE ENTIRE EIGHTH YEAR HAS SEEN YOU IN YOUR PAJAMAS!THOSE ARE YOUR SILK PAJAMAS TOO, WHERE ARE YOUR NORMAL PAJAMAS? POTTER IS ON TOP OF YOU! I THOUGHT YOU WOULD HAVE MORE DECENCY THAN HAVING HARRY POTTER LAY ON YOU IN YOUR PAJAMAS!"
"Pansy, it's not like it's the first time I've seen him in his pajamas, we share a dorm remember!" Harry reminded her, blushing at all the looks Pansy was attracting.
"Pans, calm it down, will you? Can we save this for another time?" Hermione pleaded.
"Ughhh." Pansy grumbled, and sat down on a chair.
"Miss Pansy Parkinson, we would so dearly appreciate it if your highness would please shut up, as we homosexuals are trying to read a book!" Draco blabbered. She just groaned again and grabbed a book from her bag.
Finally, Hermione closed her book, having finished it, and spoke. "You two lovebirds have any plans for the day? I was going to go look for Ron..." Draco jumped off the sofa, throwing the book in the air. Harry struggled to mark their place as he caught the book.
"We are going to go to Hogsmeade!" Harry froze, confused at Draco's words.
"What?" he asked.
"You heard me," the blond boy started, "we are going to Hogsmeade. I need some fresh air, and I could stand to do a little SHOPPING!"
"B-but the book.." Harry stuttered.
"Oh the book will have to wait." Draco grabbed Harry by the arm and marched out the door, still wearing his polka dot pajamas, and nothing else. "Fuck." He marched back into the dorm with his head held high, put on proper clothes, and left.
----------
"Draco? Draco?" Harry squeaked. "Are you gonna let go of my arm? We're halfway to Hogsmeade. And, couldn't we have just apparated?"
"Never!" he snickered, tightening his grasp. "For the apparating, I like doing things the old fashioned way." Harry groaned, but smiled faintly. "But I thought you had a carriage at the school, can we drive that?" Draco stared at him, smirking faintly. "The Chosen One can't walk with his own feet? Are you that spoiled Potter?" Harry gaped at him, halting and crossing his arms. "Me? Spoiled? You little hypocrite, do you remember this, 'my father will hear about this'?" Draco smirked at him. "I never said I wasn't spoiled, I know I am! Now hurry I want to get there before dark!" The blond sent one more smirk towards the raven haired boy, before setting a brisk pace to the wizarding village.
----------
Harry an Draco had arrived at Hogsmeade and Draco was dragging Harry into Honeydukes. "Dray! You know you get sick when you eat too much candy..." Draco just waved his hand away.
As they walked through the doors of Honeydukes, Draco's eyes widened. He dropped Harry's wrist as started running around, grabbing everything that he laid his eyes on. After Draco had filled two entire baskets with sweets, Harry intervened.
"Draco... We can't afford to spend all of this money on sweets."
Draco crossed his arms. "I don't know about you, Harry Berry. But, I could buy this entire store, spending an entire Gringotts vault on candy, without making a dent in my abounding fortune."
Harry rolled his eyes, "Okay...don't call me Harry Berry!" "Alright Harry Berry!" Draco ducked to avoid the punch aimed for him, and scampered off towards the pepper imps, with Harry following quickly behind. Draco kept walking around the store, picking up handful after handful of candy. Harry wandered over to the chocolate frogs and picked up one, praying to Merlin he didn't get Dumbledore again.
----------
Eventually they were sat at a fountain, Draco eating away at his acquired candy collection. Harry had simply bought a chocolate frog (he got the Dumbledore card AGAIN). Draco leaned his head on Harry's shoulder. "Harry Berry? My stomach hurts. Home? Cuddles?" He moaned. Harry looked at him as if he was crazy. "Dray I told you not eat so much candy!" Draco moaned again and pulled puppy dog eyes. "Please? I'll never do it again!" Harry nodded and they decided to apparate back to the dorms this time, Draco in Harry's arms.
----------
Harry and Draco laid on the bed, Draco in Harry's arms. Then, Pansy came in to bring Draco tea. She came and went silently, setting the tea on the bedside table, choosing not to comment on the position they were in, as to not to disturb the Slytherin Ice Prince.
Then, Draco spoke. "Harry? Reading?" Harry nodded, opened the book (still lying on the bed) and began to read, Draco snuggling into him. As Harry read, Draco's mind drifted, and he became warm and sleepy, his only thought was of how much he loved his Gryffindork. And when Hermione and Pansy peeked in, pulling the covers over the sleeping couple and removing the now cold cup of tea, it was obvious to both of them the love between the once arch-enemies.
