Goodbyes are the hardest parts of our lives, but Remus never got to say goodbye. Not to James, not to Lily, not to Sirius, and not to Eva. Because somehow fate hates him and he's alone again, here on Earth, while they are up there.

Remus could claim to lose James was his first heartbreak, but that was reserved for when Sirius was shipped to Azkaban. Losing James was a loss of his heart, losing Sirius was like losing his soul. Then he lost Sirius for real, that was the end of the world as he knew it, for he was his world.

But losing Eva was losing the universe, it was like losing every bit of light and life you had. 

One day he gets to say hello to them, but today he says goodbye.
