It was safe to say that the Black family fortune was hefty. And with some ancient laws that prevented Narcissa and her sisters getting any of it (#sexism) it all went to Sirius and would fall to Eva.
With the hefty amounts of money they preferred to use it for good, rather than overly self indulgent uses such as fancy vacations.
In that use they liked to invest it, such as Hermione's SPEW project and the twins joke shop.

Slowly they were turning their side of the Black name into something good and to look up to. Hopefully the entire Black name would be something to look up too. (Looking at you Draco.)
