Diary - Wolfstar

6th year, James gets Remus's diary. The relationship is a secret.

--------------

Remus's heart stopped at the book in James's hands. His eyes narrowed in on the smooth leather-bound book that James studied the cover of.

"Property of Remus John Lupin," James read aloud. "Huh,"

"James, put that down," Remus demands standing up and walking over.

James smirked at Remus's angry stature. "Or what?"

"Or I'll fight you," Remus says making a grab for the book. It was known that Remus had a short temper but he was never one to fight anyone, usually opting out for verbal fights than physical ones. Except for today, though with everything on the line his morals were out the window.

"What's going on?" Peter asks with Sirius behind him. Although it was unusual to see Remus and Sirius separated, unfortunately, the two boys had detention from Filtch as they got caught the night before getting food from the kitchens.

"I've got Lupin's diary here," James laughs. Sirius who know what was in the pages of the book, since they were about him, went to grab the book.

Remus held his hand out, wanting to diffuse the situation himself.

"Just hand it over, James,"

"No," James simply states before cracking open the book.

That's when Remus lunged making everyone in the common room gasp, not that they weren't already watching the 6th years go at it. James simply laughed and pushed the taller boy off.

Remus scrambled to grab the book, it was quite the scene, both boys flailing on the ground.

"Just give me the book," Remus demanded as he started to pin James on the floor.

At this point, James rolled his eyes but he was pinned so he couldn't fight the taller and quite frankly stronger boy. "What's so important about this book,"

"Everything James, everything," Remus panted, James was still quite strong from Quidditch.

"Just give him the book," Sirius told James.

"Right his protector," James laughed mockingly. That set both boys off rather livid.

"I don't need anyone to protect me," Remus snapped.

Sirius's eyes narrowed at James. "How can you be so cruel, this is one of your best friends,"

"It's true, maybe this book has why," James insisted.

Peter who had been silent slowly crept forward and grabbed the book. The room waited to see if Peter would give it to Remus or read it to try to gain James's approval.

But Peter had to break Remus's heart. As Remus let go of James Peter cracked open the book. "I met a boy today, well I met three boys today but this one way different,"

Remus had now lept for Peter as James egged Peter to continue. "This one is from second year. We are partners in Potions this year, he still makes my stomach leap,"

Sirius was also trying to get the book but it was two on two. It finally got a little too physical.
As Peter read an entry from the year before "Fith year, he kissed in the moonlight, and for once I didn't hate the moon so much," Sirius threw a punch towards James. As they fell into their own fight Remus finally ripped the book from Peters's hands and clutched the book to his chest.

"Who is it Remus," Peter taunted.

"None of your business," Remus panted backing away. The two other boys are still in their fight. It was clear the Sirius was fighting much harder than James as he threw another punch busting his lip. Remus went upstairs, threw it into his trunk, and locked it.

He then rushed back downstairs to pull the two apart. "That's enough,"

He grabbed Sirius's shoulders and pulled him back as Peter latched onto James.

"Please just don't touch my things," Remus pleaded and James nodded in agreement.

This one was short but I had lots of fun with it.
