Scandalous news on Harry Potter

When Rita Skeeter publishes her article about Harry, an Hermione dating, and somehow they come to the conclusion that they need to get as many people as possible to go to newspapers, and tell them they had sex with Harry. It becomes a huge scandal for a while, and Harry is blushing like crazy all the time. Eventually everything blows over.

Hermione wasn't just embarrassed. She was furious. How dare Rita Skeeter post that absolutely rubbish paper about Harry, and herself being together? Absolute rubbish. So she decided she needed a plan. Something to either demean the paper Rita published, or something big to make people forget it.

As usual, Hermione ended up in her usual thinking space. The library. Sifting through books, searching her own brain for what she could do, Hermione was surprised when the answer didn't come from a book, but a person. One of the least likely to be willing to give her a new idea, yet there he came.

Draco Malfoy came strolling past. When he noticed her, he had to take a jab. "How's Potter's girlfriend doing?" He waited for her to turn around, or possibly for dramatic effect. Hermione wasn't sure which, and she didn't care. "You know, everyone should know that's a lie, it's far too scandalous, and with that bushy hair, it's unlikely that you're even dating anyone."

"Leave me alone Malfoy." Hermione finally responded. Although she still hadn't turned around to acknowledge him.

The tone of the next words he spoke proved Draco was most likely smirking. "Longbottom is more likely to date Potter than you."

"The only problem with that is that Neville isn't into guys. So technically that's more preposterous than me dating Harry."

"You know," Draco paused. he truly valued the dramatic pause. "it's more likely that I would date Potter than you Granger."

Hermione snorted. "Admitting your crush to me now? Are you going to ask me for advice on how to get with Harry?"

There was a slight gasping, and something fell behind her. It might have been Malfoy's pride, or ego. "What crush? I don't have a crush! Definitely not on Harry. I mean Potter! We are not going to date! Nope."

Then Malfoy trekked away swiftly. Malfoy with Harry? That would sound crazy to the public, but Draco definitely had a crush on Harry. It would sound crazy that Draco was crushing on Harry hardcore, yet that was also true. The idea that Neville and Harry were dating on the other hand sounded deranged in her mind, but then she realized that it wouldn't sound deranged to the public. Neither would it sound unbelievable if Draco was dating Harry to the public who didn't know the boy who lived. They could say whatever they liked, and the public would most likely believe it.

At that moment inspiration struck. What if she got a whole bunch of newspapers involved, and had multiple people tell them they were with Harry? Starting off, people would believe all of those rumours, but as the rumours got bigger they would sound less plausible by each new article that came out. That was brilliantly Slytherin if she did say so herself. She would have to thank Draco for the idea later while Harry was around. They'd both blush a bunch, and she could enjoy torturing them for another couple minutes.

In Hermione's mind, it was decided. Now she just had to get it through Harry's thick skull. Once it was in, it was in there for good, but first she had to get a drill of an explanation. She had a bone to pick with Harry, or rather his skull.

"You want to what?" Seamus asked. His eyes were wide, and he was leaning towards Hermione. Sitting next to Seamus was Harry who was looking at Hermione like she'd grown an extra limb on her head.

Sighing, Hermione began to reexplain, but oversimplified. "I want to spread a ton of rumours about Harry's 'dating life' that's all fake, and get's crazier with each rumour. Then have people tell a ton of news articles so that eventually all rumours on Harry's 'dating life' will be considered so preposterous that nobody believes them any anymore. "

"That actually makes some sense." Harry admitted. "How would we go about this?"

Hermione smirked. "Now that's the easy part. Fred and George will be absolutely happy to help on this one. Either way, if they refuse they owe me a favor." Within two and a half hours, the twins were found, notified, and had began to help Hermione with her plan.

Within two days there was an article on Harry dating George, and Fred Weasley at the same time. They hadn't stopped sitting beside him since, and once they'd kissed Harry's cheek at the same time. Harry had left the room blushing. It had been a scandal. Everyone was surprised. Molly had written them each a letter saying she accepted them. They gingerly wrote back explaining their plan, but swearing her to secrecy. Her letter returned the next day saying that her lips were sealed.

The next week another newspaper wrote that Harry was dating Cedric Diggory. Cedric was of course in on it, and brought Harry flowers one day. Once again the school was abuzz with gossip as well as the Wizarding world.

Three articles cane out within two days about Harry and who he was dating. Now he was apparently dating Neville, and another paper wrote he was dating Parvati Patel. The third was asking if he was cheating on Parvati with her twin Padma. This last one in particular caught a lot of attention.

Harry couldn't remember who he was supposed to be dating anymore. It was Susan Bones at 9 AM, then Dean at 12, some kid called Andrew at 2, and at  5 apparently he was dating Marcus Flint. Marcus was bright red with anger when he saw the newspaper, but not as mad as Draco. Harry only knew that because Hermione had told him.

After a month of 'dating' every person in the school, Hermione, and the twins decided to end it on a good note. The final newspaper would be the best.

They gave it to the quibbler, and made it as theatrical, as possible.

Harry's true beau?
There was a photo of Harry, and Draco standing close together. They were staring into each other's eyes.
Draco Malfoy, and Harry Potter are the worst of enemies right? We've heard from good sources that they just put it on for show. They've been hiding it for months behind a charade of rivalry.
One student said, "the sexual tension between them is so thick that you can see it."
Another said Draco jumped out of a tree to surprise Harry.
"In class Draco kissed a note, then sent it to Harry. Harry blushed before looking back at Draco. It was so cute!"
How they kept it secret this long, we don't know. What we do know is that they make a good couple, don't you agree?

Harry read it, and snorted at the fact that a student thought the sexual tension between them was visible. Yes Harry liked Draco, but it obviously wasn't mutual.

Someone sat down beside him, and caressed Harry's arm. "Hello Harry. Since we're out now, can I get a kiss?"

So maybe it was mutual.

Draco leaned in slowly, and brushed their lips together softly, and slowly, he was obviously putting on a show for anyone watching. Then he pulled back slightly before leaning in to Harry's ear.

"I like you Harry. If you'd like to actually date, meet me at the astronomy tower at eleven." Then he walked away elegantly while leaving Harry flabbergasted.

"Hermione, you've outdone yourself."

Hermione just smirked.
