Summary - Hermione walks in on something that somewhat makes her feel a lot better

Katelyn's POV

She looked up when someone sat down across from her. A head of red-hair gave her a clue as to who it was. Blue eyes sparkling with guilt stared softly back at her. She continued to set up her chess pieces. 

"Mind if I join?" Ron asked.

She looked up at him and nodded. The two played for a few minutes before he spoke again, "I lied yesterday..." 

"About what?" 

"I smelled jasmine, strawberry perfume, and my hair" 

She looked up, "you smell Liona?" she smiled. 

He chuckled, "yeah...and I'm guessing she likes me back because of my hair" 

"Yeah" she breathed out a laugh, "why...why did you say you smelled Hermione?"

"Well Liona's friends were next to us and I-I got embarrassed" he shrugged, "I know I'm pathetic-"

"Little bit but you were just scared. I get it. Trust me" Katelyn said. 

"So did you smell Hermione?" he asked slyly. 

"New parchment, books, and...vanilla" she replied, "yeah...I did" 

"I see the way you look at her" 

She scoffed, "how?"

"Like you're a love-sick puppy. Every time she acknowledges your existence it brightens your whole day" 

"Oh, so we're the same now?" 

He laughed, "yeah" 

The two yelped in surprise when two girls sat down. Hermione sat down next to Katelyn and Liona sat down next to Ron. 

Hermione set her hand on Katelyn's thigh, "what were you two talking about?" she asked innocently.

Ron and Katelyn looked at each other with equal red faces. "Uh - we were playing Wizards Chess-" Ron squeaked. 

"-that's all we were doing" Katelyn added. 

The two girls looked at each other before turning towards their respective person. Hermione leaned in closer to Katelyn, making her gulp. "Just Wizards Chess huh?" Katelyn nodded. "I think you are lying to me," she said. 

"I have no idea what you are talking about" Katelyn whispered. Hermione bit her lip and Katelyn's eyes followed the gesture. "Fuck you, Granger" she muttered before smashing their lips together. 

Hermione made a surprised sound against Katelyn's mouth but kissed her back. Katelyn pushed her knee between Hermione's legs which earned a soft groan from her. 

"What the bloody hell did we miss?" Harry's voice came from a few feet away. 

Katelyn pulled away slightly from Hermione and looked at Draco, Harry, Ginny, and Astoria. Hermione groaned in annoyance and buried her head in Katelyn's neck. 

Ron and Katelyn looked at each other. 

"A lot"
