Ashton is no stranger to the wizarding world, being raised by a wizard father and a muggle mother. He lived in the city, belonging to an unfortunately notorious , pureblooded magical bloodline with a brother who was much older than him. A bloodline that was known to many to hold many Death Eaters. Ashton's father, because he married a muggle, was disowned from the bloodline and became known as a "blood traitor." Still, Ashton had a fairly nice home life, always getting spoiled and such due to being the youngest child. His brother had also attended Hogwarts and was a rather gifted sixth year before suddenly snapping and siding with his father's side of the family, effectively boosting Ashton's family reputation in the worst way. Upon entering Hogwarts, Ashton was famous for all the wrong reasons. Having such an infamous older sibling caused Ashton to be the center of many malicious rumors. The fact that Ashton had a fiery temper and eccentric tendencies didn't help much in improving his reputatuon. However, Ashton was grateful for the attention shift during his second year when "The Boy Who Lived" had entered the school, and was finally left alone for a change.

Ashton is unsurprisingly introverted. However, mention one of his interests and suddenly you have a very talkative boy on your hands.

He doesn't initially seem like someone who would be in Slytherin at first glance, with his somewhat shy demeanor and unusual ways. However, in actuality, Ashton can be incredibly dangerous when he feels like it and is incredibly sharp and perceptive, as well as sly and cunning inside. He's a deeply ambitious person, and daring at heart, having a temper so fiery that he could rival a dragon. He's incredibly stubborn and won't stop until he accomplished what he believes is right, along with what he desires. He hates being underestimated, and has gotten into his fair share of trouble due to snapping at people who upset him.

He has a strong love for animals, as well as transfiguration magic, and could talk on end for hours if either one of these topics are brought up. He holds a grudge badly, and never forgets any wrongs done to him.

As for how he acts around friends? Ashton is much more open, and willing to speak around individuals he is familiar with. Those who manage to befriend him also comment on his sarcastic sense of humor, as well as being quite the tease at times. He can exhibit quite a flirty nature with someone he is especially fond of.

Deep down, Ashton is deeply afraid of losing the people he loves, and the crimes of his brother have resulted in Ashton's struggle to trust others. He is afraid of being betrayed, and often avoids others in order to stay detached. More than anything, Ashton fears his brother, and is paranoid that he may still be alive and seeking vengeance.

The Golden Trio: A reluctant friendship that formed after he ran into them on the train, though he was quite hesitant to bond and they didn't start becoming close until their 3rd year and his 4th.
Neville Longbottom: Neville accidently mentioned animals with Ashton very close by and they've been stuck with one another since. Neville was shy at first, though he soon warmed up to the boy after realizing that Ashton didn't make fun of him despite many others of his house doing so.
Luna Lovegood: They were both considered strange by their fellow classmates at Hogwarts, so it was only natural that they drifted towards one another. He quite enjoys her company, and she helps him in his struggles with divination.

Hannah Abbot: Controversial, but he just doesn't click with her, though he holds no ill will anymore. He hasn't entirely gotten over the way that he was accused of being the Heir of Slytherin after Harry Potter was proven innocent with Hermione's petrification just because he was the only other known parselmouth student there. It hurt him deeply for someone to think that he would even dream of hurting other students just because of their blood status. He does try to be civil when spoken to, though.
Anyone That Starts Rumors about Himself or Friends: Ashton would never wish ridicule on anyone, especially not friends. So if he catches someone trying to speak ill of someone he loves, or himself, he will have some choice words to say about it.
Draco Malfoy: While it is unfortunate that he dislikes someone in his own house, it couldn't be avoided. The boy's views on blood purity annoyed Ashton to no end, not to mention such cockiness and arrogance coming from someone younger than him also drove Ashton absolutely mad.

Your OC(if you allow it): Depending on your own character's interests, I could see them bonding. I love oc x oc relationships since they are so fun to portray.
Hermione Granger: A slowburn romance that takes place over the course of the series. Ashton is not exactly what one would call "trustworthy," especially considering all the nonsense other members of Slytherin put Hermione through, not to mention his sly nature and unknown motives. But Ashton wished to get to know the younger witch more, and over time eventually proved that he truly was not as malicious or evil as others made him seem, even with his family circumstances in mind.

My pitiful self is reliant on you to pass divination.❞ The boy drawled out, making sure to place sarcastic emphasis on the pet names. Ashton sat at the table across from where you stood, and dramatically propped his chin into his hands as he spoke.

Ashton usually preferred to avoid seeking out assistance like this, and you knew it. Hence why you opted to tease him about his lack of manners. Unfortunately, your sarcasm did not drive him away as it would many other students seeking favors.

The fact that you two were all alone in this section of the library did not help either. ❝ Don't you have something better to do? Such as, I don't know, actually finishing that potion Snape asked us to brew? ❞ You quietly scoffed, rolling your eyes at how theatrical the boy before you was being right as you reached for a book on common herbs. For someone who initially gave off the impression of being a loner, Ashton was rather persistent when he wanted something. And talkative.

❝ No, I do not. I already told you please. I will not beg any further than that. Divination happens to be my worst subject, and your best one. So, I am in need of your services. Badly. I don't appreciate getting ignored. I only need a single favor from you.❞ Ashton sent a light glare to you, and stood to his feet. He trotted over to you, and slipped the book out of your hands with a dark chuckle, placing it onto the highest shelf possible. A shelf that you could not reach due to your smaller height. ❝ You can take care of that later. I only need some assistance is all. I promise I won't keep you long.❞ Ashton gave the oath, crossing his heart with a single finger. It was difficult to tell how serious he truly was about this, given his playful and offputting demeanor, but you opted to finally relent to the Slytherin boy's desires.

❝ Alright, Fine. You win this time, Undergrove. What is it you need help with? ❞ You spoke with near exaggerated hesitance, dangerously narrowing your eyes into a harsh glare at Ashton. You felt like you had just signed a contract with the devil himself by simply agreeing to help him with classwork.
