The Dursley's || Harry Potter

Privet Drive was the neatest looking street you had ever seen. Each house looked like it had been washed within an inch of its life, pretty much every house had the exact same car parked outside and the front gardens were neat and tidy, not even a single twig was out of place. It was all very artificial.

As you walked out of the alley way in which you had just apparated, you walked along Privet Drive, glancing at the numbers pressed onto the door's of each house. As you walked passed each house, the curtains were pulled apart slightly and a pair of eyes were exposed, watching you as you walked down the street; this made you incredibly uncomfortable and curious as to why the muggles living here were acting this way.

Your boyfriend, Harry, had asked you to come round his aunt and uncle's house for dinner; you found this odd since Harry hated the Dursley's but, you being a pureblooded witch were very curious about how muggles lived and what their house looked like. You weren't wearing anything special since you didn't like to dress up and Harry had told you not to.

It was a crisp later winter evening, the sun was almost gone, leaving the sky a dark blue, putting emphasis on the fluffy clouds dotted around the sky. After about five minutes of walking you arrived at number four Privet Drive. You walked through the insanely neat front garden and nocked on the front door.

Just before the door swung open, you noticed the curtains of the living room open slightly, revealing the face of a blonde, pudgy boy, who could only be Dudley, Harry's cousin. Your attention was captured by the door opening to reveal your messy haired boyfriend.

"Hello, love." Harry grinned, stepping towards you and wrapping his arms around your waist; you smiled back.

"Hello." You greeted him with a smile; Harry lent forward and pressed his slightly chapped lips against your own. You happily kissed back, missing the feeling of his lips on yours after a month of being apart.

"I've missed you like crazy." Harry smiled, reluctantly pulling his lips away from yours and pulling you into a tight hug, nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck.

"I've missed you too." You laughed, returning the embrace and giving Harry a small squeeze.

"Come in." Harry smiled, pulling away and leading you into the house.

If you had thought that the outside of the house was clean, you had gotten a shock at just how clean the inside of the house was. Everything seemed to glean slightly with polish, the whole house smelled strongly of cleaning liquid, which made your nose tingle slightly.

At the other end of the hall way stood two people. One was a tall, boney blonde woman who had narrowed her eyes at you; this had to be Harry's aunt Petunia. Next to her stood her husband, Vernon; he was shorted than his wife and considerably wider, the thick moustache demanded attention. He had the same shape eyes as his son, small, round and almost pig like.

"Hello." You grinned at the pair of them, grinning widely at them. They did nothing but stair at you with blank expressions.

"Come on, I'll show you my room." Harry smiled, taking your hand and pulling you upstairs towards his bedroom.

"They seem charming." You scoffed; Harry chuckled in response as he opened the door to his room and walking into it.

Compared to the rest of the house, Harry's room seemed like the only normal room in the entire house. His walls were covered with pictures of our friends, some news paper clippings, pictures of his parents and Sirius. Books, clothing and a couple of sweet rappers littered the floor, Hedwig was perched onto of his wardrobe, she hooted when she saw me. Framed pictures, newspapers, rolls of parchment, books, quills and ink pots were thrown haphazardly onto his desk.

"You're room is the only normal looking room in the house." You laughed, still looking around the room. Harry came up behind you and wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling your back against his chest and resting his chin on your shoulder.

"I know." He laughed, turning his head slightly to kiss your cheek as you placed your hands over his, softly rubbing circles on his hands with your thumbs.

"So, how am I going to play this?" You asked, turning around in Harry's arms to face him, wrapping your arms around his neck. Harry gave you a confused look, "How should I act around the Dursley's? Should I be overly kind or act absolutely horrible?" You asked, playing with Harry's hair at the nape of his neck.

"You could never act horrible." He grinned, kissing your forehead.

"I could surprise you." You laughed as Harry chuckled.

"I know you too well for you to surprise me." He smiled, gently rubbing his hands up and down your waist. You rolled your eyes at his statement.

"I still don't understand why you wanted me to meet the Dursley's, you hate them." You sighed, reaching up and running a hand through Harry's untidy hair, he leaned into your touch.

"Because I wanted to see you, and because I was bored. I thought it would be funny to watch how uncomfortable they would get with two wizards in their house." Harry grinned, you smiled and shook your head, "If you act sickly sweet, I think that will scare them the most." Harry added.

"Then that's what I'll do." You grinned; Harry smiled down at you.

Harry's green eyes flicked between your eyes and your lips. He tilted his head slightly, brushing his nose agains yours, then leaning forward he softly brushed his lips against yours before pressing them together. Your eyes closed as Harry pulled your body closer to his and you ran your fingers through his dark hair. Harry bit your bottom lip slightly as you kissed.

"If we go any further, you won't be able to stop yourself." You whispered against his lips, smiling.

"Is that such a bad thing?" He asked, kissing you again, causing you to smile into the kiss.

"Since we're at your aunt and uncle's house, I'd say so." You smiled, Harry groaned, pressing his forehead against yours and looking into your eyes, "You're coming back to my house after this and my parents are out all night so we can do much more than kiss when we get back to mine." You grinned, pecking his lips.

"Can't wait." Harry grinned before kissing you one last time, "We best head down stairs." He said, pulling away from you, taking your hand and leading you back down stairs.

The pair of you walked into the spotless kitchen that was joined to the dinning room. Dudley and Vernon were already sitting at the table, Dudley at the head and Vernon on his right. Petunia was getting plates and cutlery from the kitchen. Harry sat down opposite his uncle; it was time to either scare the Dursley's or make them super uncomfortable.

"Let me help you with that, Petunia." You beamed, walking into the kitchen and picking up some plates; Petunia stared at you, then turned and walked towards the dining table. You looked over at Harry with raised eyebrows as he just grinned.

You walked back into the dinning room and set a plate down in front of Vernon and then yourself, sitting down next to Harry and opposite Petunia. As you sat down you noticed Vernon wipe his plate with a napkin before putting food onto it; you tried very hard not to roll your eyes.

"I don't have dragon pox, you know?" You mused, putting some potatoes onto your plate and raising your eyebrows at Vernon who looked very confused.

"Dragon what?" He asked, his voice loud.

"The wizard equivalent of chickenpox, but much worse." You replied before starting to eat your food, "This is lovely food, Petunia." You added. Petunia said nothing but you thought you saw a hint of a smile on her thin lips.

"So, your family, are they like you or are they normal?" Vernon asked in a strained voice, not looking at you.

"Well, they're normal to me but to you they wouldn't be normal; they are both wizards." You answered, looking over at the Vernon. Out of the corner of your eye you could see Dudley staring at you, you looked at him, her turned bright red and looked down at his food. You looked to Harry for some sort of explanation but Harry just shrugged.

"Though, my dad used to have a muggle job." You said thoughtfully, Vernon raised an eyebrow.

"What did he do?" Vernon asked, actually looking at you.

"He used to work in a bank." You explained, Vernon nodded slowly.

After that the conversation between you and the Dursley's seemed to flow, as long as you avoided anything magic related. You were very surprised, and so was Harry, to find that the Dursley's were actually being rather pleasant. They asked her questions about her parents and what she liked to do in her spare time; they didn't even make one snarky comment. However, during pudding a very awkward topic of conversation came to light.

"So, are you seeing anyone at the moment?" Petunia asked, a small smiled on her face. You furrowed your eyebrows, they must know about your's and Harry's relationship.

"Well-" You started but you were cut off.

"Perfect, I am sure that you and Dudley would make a great couple." Petunia clapped.

You almost chocked on your food as you registered what she had just said; Harry burst into fits of laughter. Dudley on the other hand looked almost hopeful.

"Excuse me?" You asked, still coughing and raising your eyebrows.

"You and Dudley would make a perfect couple, I'm sure we could deal with your, umm, special abilities." Petunia beamed as Harry continued to laugh. You looked over at him and couldn't help but smile as you saw tears of laughter in his green eyes.

"I am sorry to disappoint you, Petunia, but I already have a boyfriend." You chuckled as Petunia raised an eyebrow and Dudley looked like he had just been slapped.

"And who is it?" She asked, a tone of suspicion in her voice and on her face.

"Harry." You grinned, looking over at Harry as he took ahold of your hand under the table.

"Harry?" Petunia asked, clearly shocked.

"Really?" Vernon asked, surprised at this new information.

"Yes." You answered.

"You must be joking." Vernon scoffed, you raised your eyebrows, almost challenging him to say more.

"I'm really not; Harry is a wonderful boyfriend and a very passionate lover." You mused, enjoying the horror on all three of the Dursley's face's. Harry was also grinning, "Come on, love, let's go." You smiled, standing up from the table and pulling Harry upstairs to his room.

"That was the best dinner I have ever had." Harry laughed as he closed the door to his bedroom and looking at you.

"Harold James Potter, if you ever mention this to anyone, I'll kill you." You said sternly but you couldn't keep the smile off your face.

"I'm sorry, love, you know I can't do that." He grinned, walking towards you and wrapping his arms around your waist.

"I thought you'd say something like that." You sighed but smiled none the less as you wrapped your arms around his neck.

"So, I'm a passionate lover am I?" He grinned, raising an eyebrow at you, you just rolled your eyes.

"I could always take that back you know." You mused, moving some of his hair out of his eyes.

"No you can't, you've said it and that's final." He grinned smugly, you laughed and shook your head.

"Fine, but if you want to keep that title then you'll have to earn it." You teased, brushing your lips over Harry's.

"Oh, trust me, love, I will." He laughed, pressing his lips against yours in a heavy kiss, you kissed back, pulling slightly on Harry's hair, causing him to moan.

"Better get packing then."
