Dramione - Pictures

"Attention, students!" Headmistress McGonagall called the attention of all students inside the Great Hall. They look up to the Head Table, where the Headmistress and other teachers are sitting. Professor McGonaall rises from her seat.

"This year at Hogwarts an official picture is going to be taken. We will have two representatives from each house, one male and one female, represent their house in the picture. They will wear their house colours, girls in ballgowns and the men in tuxedos. All eight of the representatives will be from the eighth year, so those students returning to Hogwarts to redo their seventh or sixth year."

Murmurs run through the crowd. Several students had returned to redo their years, some for their seventh, some for their sixth. r

Ginny was planning on returning, but was offered a contract with the Holyhead Harpies, so is a chaser for them instead.

"Students!" McGonagall recalls everyone's attention. "The students have been selected, and will need to meet me after the Feast. Those students are: Harry Potter and Hermione Granger from Gryffindor, Luna Lovegood and Anthony Goldstein from Ravenclaw, Ernie Macmillan and Hannah Abbot from Hufflepuff, and Draco Malfoy and Pansy Parkinson from Slytherin. I will see you eight soon. Anyway, please continue with your meal!" the Headmistress resumes her seat.

--------

"What do reckon you'll have to do?" Ron asks his two best mates.

"I dunno." Harry says.

"Probably discuss outfits." Hermione suggests.

The boys nod and continue eating. Soon enough, the feast is over, and Harry and Hermione farewell Ron as he heads back to the dorms. They head over to the head table where Luna, Draco, Pansy and Hannah are already waiting. They arrive, and shortly after Ernie and Anthony appear as well.

"Ah yes, our house representatives. Come with me please." McGonagall leads them to a room a short way down a corridor. It's filled with clothes, including school robes, swimsuits, dress robes and a whole load of other outfits. McGonagall charms a wall splitting the room in two.

"Girls on the left, boys on the right. Please take your measurements, there are sheets of parchment with the required fields on each side. Help each other, and if you try and peek through the barrier there will be consequences."

The students nod, and McGonagall exits the room. They split into their respective groups, and pick up the measuring tapes sitting on the desks. The girls quickly strip and Pansy gasps.

"Hermione!"

Hermione turns around at the noise. "Yeah?"

"How did you do that?"

"Do what?"

"Your figure! YOU'VE GOT ABS!"

"Who's got abs?" the boys call.

"Hermione!" Pansy yells back.

Hermione shrugs. "And?"

"It's incredible. You have a really good figure."

Hermione smiles. "Thanks. Three years of workout routines will do that to you, I guess."

Pansy laughs. "Why am I not surprised you work out?"

They spend the next half hour chatting and taking each others measurements before getting dressed again. A few minutes later there's a knock on the door.

"Finished?" McGonagall asks.

A resounding chorus of yeses is returned and she opens the door. "Good. Now you will all need to meet me at 2pm tomorrow for the pictures, your outfits will be created tonight. I expect you all to shower and arrive looking presentable, your hair will then be styled and makeup applied. Please meet me in the Courtyard, we will proceed from there."

The students nod again and head back to their dorms.

--------

The next day, 1:55pm

"Harry!" Hermione calls.

"Coming!" he yells. They head to the Courtyard, and on the way run into Draco.

"Malfoy." Hermione nods politely.

"Granger, Potter." he nods in return.

Harry laughs. The two others turn to him quizzically. "What?" he asks.

"What are you laughing about?" they ask at the same time.

"I just think its funny that we still address each other by last names."

"Why wouldn't we?" Draco asks.

"You saved my life, mate." Harry says. "You saved everyone's life by throwing me your wand."

Draco nods. "I suppose I did. New start then, Harry? " He extends his hand for the other boy to shake.

"Of course, Draco."

"Hey!" Hermione says.

The boys look at her. "Can't I get a fresh start too?"

Draco chuckles. "Of course, Hermione." they shake hands, and both feel a spark run up their arms, the same spark from third year when Hermione broke the Slytherin's nose. They look at each other for a second, then brush off the thought. They make small talk until they reach the Courtyard, where the other students are waiting.

"Ah perfect, you three have arrived. The styling booth is over there, girls head over to get your hair and makeup done, boys over here for a quick touch-up." McGonagall directs.

The students obey, and the girls are sat in chairs as four styling witches attend to their hair and makeup.

Hermione's hair is brushed, sprayed and straightened. It's then rested over her shoulder and set in place with a setting charm. She's given natural makeup with a bright red lipstick.

Luna's hair is swept up into an extravagant updo. She's given a smoky eye, nude lipstick and pale pink blush.

Pansy's hair is curled and she's given natural makeup, with plae pink lipstick.

Hannah's hair is straightened and she's given a blunt fringe. She gets minimal makeup, only needing a touch of nude lipstick to complement her smooth complexion.

The girls are then escorted to wardrobe, where they are greeted by four gorgeous ballgowns, each in their house colours. Hermione first sees Luna's dress, a beautiful deep blue strapless gown with diamond crystals scattered on the bodice and top of the skirt. A deep blue ribbon is around the waist, pulling off the perfect ensemble.

Hermione next notices Pansy's gown. It's emerald green, made of velvet and handing off the shoulder. Faint silver glitter is littered throughout the dress, sparkling lightly in the sun.

Hermione then passes a swathe of yellow material. It's Hannah's dress. Made of a satin-y material, tulle flowers have been attached, along with silvery yellow detailing. Small amounts of tulle hang off the sleeves, completing the outfit.

Finally, Hermione spots her dress. It's a strapless, delicate red ballgown, with gold embroidery on the bodice and bottom of the skirt. She breathes in deeply, taking in all its beauty.

The girls change before heading outside to meet the boys. They all are wearing suits, with ties or waistcoats of their house's colour.

Draco whistles as the girls approach.

"Looking good, ladies!"

Hermione blushes. "Thanks, Draco." she says with the other three girls. They look at her funnily when she uses his first name, but brush it off after a second.

Harry speaks up. "McGonagall wants us to go over there." he says, gesturing at an area of the courtyard where a few plush chairs and stools have been set up. The girls nod and pick up their skirts before walking over to the area.

"Good, good, you're ready." McGonagall says. "Now, could we get Mr Malfoy and Mr Potter to stand on either side of that chair, please." she gestures to the plush black chair in the middle. "Now, Miss Lovegood please sit in the chair, and hook one leg over the other."

Luna scurries over to the chair and takes her seat, swinging her right leg over her left knee, showing off her strappy black stilettos.

"Perfect." the Professor nods. "Now, Miss Granger. Could you sit on that seat to the left of Miss Lovegood, in front of Mr Malfoy."

Hermione walks over and takes her seat.

"Now, Miss Parkinson. Please sit on the other stool in front of Mr Potter."

Pansy struts to her stool.

"Brilliant." the Professor says. "Now please extend your right leg slightly so we can see your foot." She directs. Pansy does as instructed, her glittery silver heel protruding from under the green velvet of her dress.

"Now, Miss Abbot. Please sit in front of Miss Lovegood."

"On the floor?" Hannah asks.

"Yes, on the floor. Sit with your legs to your left, so that we can see Miss Parkinson and Miss Lovegood."

Hannah obliges.

"Now, Mr MacMillan. Please sit beside Miss Parkinson."

Ernie takes his seat next to the Slytherin.

"Finally, Master Goldstein, could you please take a seat on the stool by Miss Granger."

Anthony sits on the final empty plush stool before McGonagall continues with her instructions.

"Now for the final adjustments. Mr MacMillan, could you please rest your lower arm on Miss Parkinson's shoulder."

Ernie shifts uncomfortably, before hesitatingly resting his arm on Pansy's shoulder.

"Good. Now, could you tilt your head slightly toward Miss Granger please Miss Abbot?" McGonagall requests. "Good," she says as the direction is followed. "Mr Potter, left hand in your trouser pocket, please."

She continues with a few minor adjustments before she drops the final bomb. "Mr Malfoy, hand on Miss Granger's shoulder."

Hermione hears Draco suck in a deep breath behind her. He hovers his hand above her shoulder nervously, before lowering it. Both feel a tingle in their skin as his hand touches her bare shoulder. Finally, Mc Gonagall is content, and the picture is taken.

"Good, now onto the second picture."

The students sigh. Another picture?

"This one I would like you to smile, you can relax your positions more and move a little to seem more casual."

At this everyone loosens up, and the second photo is taken. Finally, McGonagall announces the third and final photo.

"This photo is a crazy one, you can do whatever you like. Preferably not too crazy, try to make it more silly-ish cute than crazy, if you know what I mean."

The photographer counts down. "3... 2... 1..."

Hermione is suddenly grabbed from behind as the photographer finishes the countdown. She gasps in surprise but can't helps smiling at Draco's bear hug, leaning back into his chest. She smiles up at him and he grins down at her.

"You scared me!"

"And?"

"Don't do it again!"

"But your reactions are so cute!" Draco protests.

Hermione's jaw opens briefly in shock. "Cute? "

Draco blushes. "Umm... yeah. The way you get all defensive. It's kinda cute."

Hermione gives a small smile. "I think it's cute that you like to scare me because you think my reaction is cute." She taps the end of his nose cutely. He smiles at her and taps her nose back. Hermione turns away to see the shocked faces of the other students. Luna's smiling happily, Harry looks like he's about to faint and the others seem confused.

"What?" Hermione asks.

"You and Draco were just flirting!" Pansy exclaims.

"What? No, we weren't!" Hermione insists.

"You definitely were!"

"But-"

"No buts!" Pansy says. "Calling each other cute and tapping noses is flirting. There's no way you can deny it, Hermione."

"I don't think-"

"Or you, Draco!"

The two give up on protesting. "Fine." Hermione says. "So what?"

"Nothing," Pansy says. But the two hear her speaking to Luna after the photos are finished. "Three sickles they're together by the end of the week."

"A galleon for the end of the day." Luna returns.

"You're on."

---------------

Three hours later

"Hermione!" Harry calls. "There's someone at the portrait hole to see you!"

"COMING!" she yells back. She quickly heads downstairs. She walks to the portrait hole, running a hand through her curly brown hair. "Hi-" she swings the portrait open. "Draco?"

"Can we talk?" the blond asks.

"I- sure." she steps out of the common room. "So you wanted to talk?"

The two talk for ages, after which Hermione steps back into the common room smiling.

The next day at breakfast, Luna becomes one galleon richer.
