Year 1 - The Philosopher's Stone
Hestia took a few salmon canape with tomatoes seasoned with herbs for epitizer. She was eating lasagna as main dish when Marcus Flint, a fourth year, asked her.
"So, Potter. Why do you think the Sorting Hat sent you to Slytherin?"
People near them were quiet, waiting for her answer.
"Well... I'm ambitious, and I'm willing to do anything to achieve my goal. That is not for you, Ignazio. Get back."
She answered while pulling back Ignazio, which was slyly heading towards the roast chicken.
"And what is your goal?"
"Restoring the name Potter to its former glory, and protecting my loved ones."
She looked at Harry and Snape swiftly, then reached out to a plate of chocolate eclair for dessert.
After the feast they followed the prefect to their dormitory under the lake. The Slytherin's dormitory was the largest because everyone had their own room. When Hestia found that the large room had a four-poster bed with dark - green velvet drapes, a large ebony closet with a few drawers, a large bookshelf which sorted the books by category with magic, two chairs, and two tables (one large, and one medium sized.). It was just what she wanted and she decided to use the small table for making extra potions.
(She later found out that the rooms were decorated according to their owners. For example, Pansy Parkinson's room was glaring with different shades of pink.)
In order to unpack everything, she opened the trunk and busily carried the books to the shelf. She sorted her clothes in the closet and was putting the smaller table in order with extra potion materials and cauldron when someone knocked at the door.
"Come in!" It was Draco.
"People are having tea in the commonroom. Are you coming?"
"Thanks for asking, but I don't feel comfortable around a large group of people"
Draco thought for a moment, then ordered Crabbe and Goyel to get some things for her. After they went out, he held out a small box which was beautifully wrapped. Hestia took it with a questioning look, and he answered,
"Thought it would suit you, when I saw it."
He said this in a bashful way (very uncommon thing for him) and his ears became red when Hestia thanked him with her face full of gratitude. He quickly went out as Crabbe and Goyle returned. Confused, they hurriedly followed.
Hestia opened the box. It was piece of ribbon made from threads of pure silver. At the each end, green crystals in the shape of leaves decorated the ribbon. (Green silk threads were embroidered between the crystals, just like vines.). The crystals' colour matched her eyes. She put it in the dressing table's drawer with the box and prepared to go to bed.
Half an hour later, she was in bed with Ignazio.
[I wonder how Harry is doing]
[He'll be fine. Just think about youself while you are here, my lady]
A/N : I'm sorry it's short, and it's been a long time since I last came. But I was too busy with school work (who knew university life would be this hard) and I really didn't have time to write. I'm really sorry
