Year 1 - The Philosopher's Stone
One day, Number 4, Private Drive was peaceful... on the surface, that is.
"Hestia, fry the bacons and don't you dare burn them! I want everything to be perfect on Dudder's birthday. Harry! Set the table!"
Harry and his twin sister Hestia looked at each other, sighed, then went to work. They didn't want to end up in the cupboard under the stairs again.
As Harry set the table, he looked towards the livingroom wistfully, where Dudley was opening his 36 birthday presents. When Hestia came with a frying pan full of bacons, Harry asked her if she was jealous or not.
"Not really" she answered with a shrug, then went to the living room to tell the Dursleys that breakfast was ready.
Harry noticed that she didn't make any noise while crossing the room. A bit like a snake, in fact... he thought as three Dursleys came tramping in.
At the same time at the Spinner's End, two men sat facing each other. One had long white hair and equally long beard and was smiling softly, while the other man had black hair with his face as dark as a stormcloud.
"So you want me to take the Potters to the Diagon Alley?"
"Only Hestia, Severus. Hagrid is taking Harry, but he said that he doesn't know what to do around girls her age."
"I know it's just an excuse, Dumbledore."
"Well, she looks just like Lily, although her hair is black."
Snape raised his eyebrows in slight curiosity. Dumbledore chuckled slightly, then stood up, preparing to leave.
"Number 4, Private Drive, Severus"
Then he disapparated, leaving Snape alone in the dark house.
Next day, Snape rang the bell of Number 4 Private Drive. The door opened, revealing a small girl with soft black hair.
"Lily..."
Dumbledore was right. The girl looked just like her mother
"Hestia Lily Potter?"
"Yes. Come in, please"
He went inside, and was greeted by a scream.
"You! How dare...! Hestia Potter, did you let him in?"
She nodded and Petunia Dursley opened her mouth to scream some more, when Snape asked,
"How much do they know?"
"None. I haven't told them anything."
Hagrid, who came a few minutes after Snape, yelled in disbelief.
"None? The whole worl' knows them, and they know nothin'?"
"This is not a great place to tell them, Hagrid. Take him to the Leaky Cauldron. I'll take Hestia."
He held out his hand, palm upward.
"Take my hand, Potter"
Feeling her small hand on his, he disapparated to Diagon Alley
