It was a weekend but not a Hogsmeade weekend so everyone in school was just relaxing. Most people were in casual clothes opposed to their normal uniforms. You were in a tank top and sweatpants. You were eating breakfast with James on your left side,
Remus across from you, Lily to his right and Peter to his left. Sirius hadn't come down yet to take his place to the right of you. You were all having normal conversations which consisted of James asking a crazy question and everyone calling him stupid while you tried to answer. "Can you cry underwater?" Was the question of the day. Lily and Remus laughed whilst you actually considered an answer. "I'm not sure James." You said and everyone laughed as you felt a jacket being placed on your shoulders. You turned as Sirius took his place next to you. You raised an eyebrow at him. "Why do I have your jacket?" Sirius gained a defensive look and had that defensive tone in his voice. "You're not wearing enough clothes (Y/N), I can see too much skin." James scoffed. "I never thought I'd see the day when Sirius Black is telling a girl to put more clothes on rather than take them off, you're something special (Y/N)." Sirius scowled and blushed a deep scarlet color. "I just- those Ravenclaw boys are smart and don't need to be staring at (N/N)." He grumbled and you laughed. "If they're smart why would the Ravenclaw boys be staring at me? Especially considering Lily is sitting right there." Sirius frowned looking confused. "Why wouldn't they stare at you?" You snickered as James, Remus, and Lily talked about whether or not you could cry underwater. "Because I'm not that attractive or desirable and no guy in their right mind would date me." You said casually, stabbing at another piece of pie. "I'm sure some people would say otherwise." Sirius said matter of factly. "Like who?" You asked raising an eyebrow as you turned to Sirius. Sirius blushed and looked at his plate before quickly looking up again. "Remus, do you think (Y/M/N) is attractive and/or desirable?" Remus' eyebrows furrowed. "Excuse me?" Sirius let out an exasperated and frustrated sigh. "Do you think (Y/M/N) is attractive or desirable?" Sirius repeated. "Oh. Um, well yeah." You blushed and looked at your lap. "And would you date her?" Remus blushed. "Possibly." He answered. "See? I'm not the only one who thinks so." You rolled your eyes. "Well you guys are crazy. I'm talking about sane people." You teased. "Well why do you need a sane person when you have me?" You smirked. "Because I'd prefer to not have to share you with every other girl in school." You realized that you had taken it too far when Sirius got up and walked out the room. Both you and James had gotten up to go after him but James sat back down when you were already halfway to the door. "Sirius wait!" You called once you got to the hallway.
He began to walk faster but you ran to catch up with him. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel bad. What's wrong? Normally me saying something like that wouldn't bother you." He sighed. "It's just that I.." the rest of his sentence was inaudible. "I'm sorry, but could you say that again for those of us who don't have super-hearing." He rolled his eyes but smiled. "It's just I think I like you but I'm not sure because I've never liked someone like that before." You smiled. "Well if it makes you feel any better, I know that I like you."
