Sirius sending James' mum flowers on Mothers' Day in fourth year but not being sure if he should or not, so he doesn't tell anyone about it and sends an awkward note like "I know you're not really my mum but..."

And Mrs Potter is absolutely over the moon because obviously she thinks as Sirius as a son anyways, so she writes back to him and James thanking them for the presents but Sirius panics that James might be a bit weird about it but he's just like"Mate, you sent flowers? I only got chocolate from Hogsmeade - next year we are definitely combining so you don't make me look bad!"

And Sirius is just very happy because James' family are the best and they actually want him!
