You Look Like Pinkie Pie
Halloween. Such a wonderful holiday. Harry enjoyed the atmosphere immensely...if only his Dad wasn't busy on the day. Even Frighty left his post. Harry wondered why his Dad got to work on the holiday. Besides, it was the most important magical holiday of the year! His Dad can't possibly work! It's...it's...
He mumbled, "Sacrilege,"
Nanna snorted when she heard him as he glowered at the telly, "Where did you even learn that word?"
He pointed at the telly, "The black and white kitty said 'sacrilege' when the human worked on holiday,"
Nanna shook her head, her hands busy knitting something over her lap, "Danny can't help it, Harry. He's the Ghost King and the Spirit of Halloween practically work for him. That means he have a job to watch the Veil so that bad ghosts won't cause too much trouble,"
Harry pouted at Nanna, "Can't he ask Grandpa Clockwork to help him? Like...like giving him extra free time just for me? It's Halloween!" He huffed, "Not even Professor Snape and Professor Minnie can make it! But they have school and loads of kids to take care so I get it. But Dad only have me!" His eyes then widened, "What if Dad have more kids beside me?! I don't want to share Dad!"
Nanna stared at him before shaking her head, "Calm down, Harry. If Danny have kids besides you, he would have brought them over,"
A green portal appeared in the fun room and two figures were deposited there. Danny poked his head out, "Sorry, Jazz! Uh...Dani is here because she found out about Harry and Dan is on community service until told otherwise. So please don't mind them. They know better than start problem!" He disappeared back into the portal and Harry stared wide eyed at the older girl pouting at the blasé drop by. He then looked at the giant that was wider than Dad but just as tall with his white hair on fire...or white fire for hair grumbling something in weird noises.
He looked at Nanna, his lips wobbling at the betrayal, "Dad have others kids beside me?"
The giant glared at him, causing Harry to flinch back, "What kid? Do I look like a kid to you?!"
The smaller girl beside him shouted, "Hey! Don't shout at him, you big meanie!" She then looked to see Harry clinging to Nanna. She smiled as she floated near, "Hey there, little guy. I'm not Danny's kid. I'm, like, his sister, you know? The younger sister?" She smiled at Nanna with wide eyes, "Whoa, Jazz. You're old,"
Nanna sniffed, "I age, duh,"
The girl rolled her eyes before looking at Harry, "Call me Aunt Ellie, alright?"
Harry stiffened at the word Aunt. He didn't like aunties. He tightened his hug around Nanna's waist, quiet. He'll bite this new 'auntie' if she tried anything. Nanna sighed over him before saying, "Ellie, it is great to see you again. This is Harry, my grandson. Danny is adopting him as his,"
"Jazz, I heard voices. Have Danny returned?"
Harry perked up and ran off for her, "Mum! There are weird people with Nanna!"
Mum appeared and looked into the room. She frowned slightly at the quietly grumbling big guy who stiffened at the look she sent him. She wagged at finger at him, "I don't care how powerful you are or what you have done to deserve such punishment from Danny. I don't care that you are half Danny. If you hurt my family, I'll come onto you will all the rage of nature,"
The big man snorted as he eyed her up and down, "What happened to Sam?"
Mum wasn't phased by that. Harry didn't know who Sam was but he didn't like what the big guy was implying. But Mum answered, "She wasn't born yet," Mum then smiled at the other one, "It is good to put a face to the name. Well, I can hardly imagine Danny as a girl so...hello, Ellie,"
Aunt Ellie beamed, "Hi! You must be Danny's bride-to-be! I'm here to...well, part of it is for the wedding. The other part is..." She looked at Nanna, to which Nanna smiled at her. She shrugged, "Yeah!"
The big guy grumbled in his corner, looking out the window, "Where the fuck am I?"
A giant snowball immediately slammed over his fiery head, causing him to sputter in shock. He looked at Mum and a smaller snowball landed on his face before he could say anything. Mum glared at him, "Language. I will not have my son be saying such words. Especially at this age," She looked at Harry and Harry knew that whatever 'fuck' was, he won't be caught dead or alive saying it. Not even Dad will be able to save him if he ever did. Mum was that fierce looking that his spine shivered.
Aunt Ellie laughed at the big guy, "Serves you right, Dan!"
Harry looked at the steadily angrier Dan and started to whimper, clinging harder to Elsa. He didn't like this Dan. He's mean like Uncle Vernon. He's going to hurt his family! Harry didn't want anyone to get hurt! He needed to do something! He needed to keep his family safe!
Something snapped inside him...
"Harry? You okay, bud?"
Harry slowly came around to see Dad looking at him worriedly. Harry sat up and flung himself into the man's arm, "Dad! You're home!" He sniffed in the cold and odd sweet smell of his Dad, "I had a bad dream. Someone big and mean was going to hurt Mum and Nanna. And then...I woke up?"
Dad looked at him before Harry felt his body shook. He looked up to see Dad laughing. Feeling betrayed, he whined, "Why are you laughing?! I was really scared!"
Dad stifled his laughter before picking something up from the ground. It was a plush toy of a familiar dragon; Toothless. Except it had its mouth duck-taped shut and it was glaring at Harry something fierce with embroidered eyes that looked too alive. Dad grinned at Harry's confused look, "This is Uncle Dan. You turned him into a dragon plush toy and then you blacked out,"
Harry stared at the black and white dragon. It did look like the scary Dan from before. With white wings that have black underside. He tilted his head and that to take in the living plush dragon the size of his pillow. He then stared at the angry dragon before nodding, "He's cuter like this,"
There was some angry mumbling from the dragon and Dad looked at it, "You only have yourself to blame for getting into this situation. I don't even know how Harry turned you into this. Normally, magic don't affect ghost. Our energy just cancel each other. That said, I don't even know how to turn you back," There was some angry muffled noises and Dad frowned, "Language. If you don't stop cursing, Elsa will not take those off of you. She might even sew your mouth shut permanently,"
The dragon glared at Dad before slumping in defeat. Harry watched the saw dragon and held his arms out. Dad gave him a strange look before a very big grin took over his face. He looked at the plush dragon, "Why do you stick with Harry? He might accidentally turn you back!"
Dragon Dan glared at Harry and stiffened when Harry accepted him from Dad. The little wizard hugged the stuffing out of the toy dragon and Dad only laughed at the horror that dawned on the dragon's face as he realized what he was getting into. He then said, "Come on, little guy. You slept the whole day away. Elsa even called on Lady Vivian to check on you. She said you are just tired from your magic acting out and doing this. She gave you some water from her lake to hasten your healing because Mum asked her to since you are looking forward to this evening. Go see her and thank her, okay?"
Harry jumped out of bed and shouted, the suffering dragon in his hand dragged along on the floor, "MUM~!"
A few minutes later found him dressed for a Halloween party. He decided to take Dan with him, having taken a shine on the grumpy dragon toy. Besides, Dan have Dad's symbol on his chest!
Mum was dressed in a sparkling black dress with a long silvery sheer cape that looked like it was made by spiders. She smiled at Harry and stared at the dragon, a warning look in her eyes. She reminded Harry of that creepy but pretty lady from that creepy family. He liked the show because it was like his family but his family didn't have a graveyard in the back. Also, he was pretty sure that Dad didn't use those weird things on Mum.
Maybe they will after marriage? It looked like something adults do after they marry.
Dad showed up with Nanna who sat in a magical floating wheelchair. He was dressed like a vampire with his hair gelled back. He argued with Nanna, "No, Jazz. I am not styling my hair into horns,"
Nanna tried, "Oh, come on! For old time's sake!"
Dad glowered, "No,"
Nanna huffed, "Pooh! You're no fun being old,"
Dad snorted, "Says the one in the wheelchair,"
The family slowly made their way down the hill. Harry hugged Dan tight, eyeing Aunt Ellie who dressed like that Wednesday girl. Harry didn't dress like her little brother so he supposed he'll be fine. But he dressed like his Dad when he was a hero! Even his hair was dyed ghost white! Dad had looked both extra happy and a little sad seeing him but he was happier than sad so Harry's in the clear! Mum was just having fun dressing him up!
Aunt Ellie smiled at him and tried to talk to him but Harry kept running from her and hiding under Dad's cape. He peeked out to see her pouting but she smiled when she saw him so he hid back. He then started using his Dad's cape to play peek-a-boo with her until he was giggling whenever she booed him.
Dad whined, "Harry~! I can't walk like this!"
Aunt Ellie stuck her tongue out at him, "Oh, boohoo! You can fly!"
Dad stuck his tongue out back at her and the two started to try an outdo the other at sticking their tongues to each other. Harry looked to see Mum creating two medium sized snowballs and dropped them over their heads. They both looked at her and she pointed with her chin, "We are almost here. Behave,"
They followed the crowd, giving their 'trick or treat' greetings and joining in on the festivities. Aunt Ellie stuck close to him as he ran around trying to go to all the game stalls. Mum and Dad followed closely behind with Nanna as they whispered to each other. Harry ran back to Dad a few times to accept some money to pay to play the games. Aunt Ellie boosted him so he can look over the tables and he sat Dan down while he attempted his luck with the games.
He loose a lot.
But he was having fun so that was fine!
He made sure to drag Dan everywhere with him. Aunt Ellie bobbed for the apples and she handed them to the owner to turn into candied apple. They soon joined Mum and Dad and Nanna at a stall, all three trying to hit the bullseye. Dad was clearly winning, much to the owner's chagrin. Harry looked at Aunt Ellie, "Why isn't he happy that Dad hit everything?"
Aunt Ellie grinned, "Because he was probably cheating somewhere,"
Harry gasped before scowling, "That's not nice. Dad said cheating can ruin the world,"
Aunt Ellie laughed, "I'm pretty sure that only apply to Danny but...yeah, cheating is bad,"
Dad won the first prize, a giant stuffed bat, and handed the item to Mum who stared at it for a while. She then shuffled closer to Dad and pulled at his collar so that he will bend down and she gave him a kiss on his chin. Dad's brow jumped up and there was this weird but happy smile on his face after she did that. Nanna ignored them to stare at her consolation prize, trying to make sense of the ball in her hand.
When Dad pushed her close, she grumbled, "They have real magic and instead they gave me a muggle magic 8 ball. What are the odds?"
Harry then gawked at the sight of a Merry-Go-Round and pointed at it, "Can I ride on that?"
Dad nodded, "Sure. Hand me Dan. Elsa? Ellie? Why don't you ride them with Harry?"
Harry grabbed their hands and ran for the person lazily waving his wands to work the contraption. He politely asked, "Excuse me, mister. Can my Mum and Aunt ride the horses with me?"
The wizard looked at him and smiled, "For a polite kid like you? Of course!"
Harry grinned and slowly counted his money. He was getting his numbers and Nanna was teaching him how to apply it for counting his money so people can't trick him to pay more. He then handed the wizard his money, "I counted them properly! Promise!"
The wizard chuckled and then blushed when he saw Mum and Aunt Ellie. Or maybe just Mum. Harry noticed that many men did that. Well, men and women. He glared at the wizard, "My Mum is marrying my Dad. You can't look at her like that. Dad will throw you into the big river,"
The wizard sputtered, "O-of course!"
He heard Aunt Ellie laughing at his words. She asked Mum about 'throwing into the big river' part and Mum explained to her about London. Aunt Ellie nodded with understanding and they waited for the horses to stop going round and round for their turn on the ride. Once it was their turn, Harry politely escorted his Mum to the first horse. He was about to looked for Aunt Ellie when Aunt Ellie picked him up and put him in front of Mum.
He looked at her as she climbed onto the other horse, "I'm supposed to help you. It's a gentleman thing to do,"
Aunt Ellie giggled, "Oh. That's alright, Harry. You can be your Mum's personal Prince. I prefer to climb horses on my own so I'm fine,"
Harry asked, "Will I be bad if I try to help you on your horse?"
Aunt Ellie stopped and as the horses moved up and down along with the music, she answered, "No. No. You're very sweet to want to help me. I'll let you help me next time, okay?"
Harry smiled, glad that he wasn't being a bad boy. She was alright. Mum liked her and she was Dad and Nanna's littlest sister. She's family. He wasn't sure about Dan but now Dan's a dragon so he's alright too. Harry started giggling as the horses go around and he shouted, "Mum! Look! Nanna and Dad! And Dan!"
He waved at them each time he saw time when the horses turned. Dad waved with Dan, laughing as he watched them enjoying themselves. Mum held him secure against her as his excitement almost caused him to topple. After a few minutes, the ride ended and Harry fretted, "Oh no!"
Mum asked, "What's wrong?"
Harry looked at her, "I don't know how to help you down! I'm too short!"
Aunt Ellie grinned, "Don't worry. Here comes Prince Charming!"
Harry turned to see Dad coming for them. He looked at Aunt Ellie, "Dad's not Prince Charming. He's a King!"
Aunt Ellie blinked and Dad reached them, "What's wrong? Why aren't you coming down?"
Harry accepted his help, "I'm too short,"
Dad ruffled his hair, "You'll grow buddy,"
Harry couldn't wait to grow as tall and big as Dad. He grabbed Dan from Nanna and squeezed the dragon. The dragon grumbled, the deep voice awkward coming from something so small, "Buddy. You'll kill me for the third time if you keep squeezing me like this,"
Harry looked at him, "Hey, Dan?"
The dragon glowered at a baby, causing her to cry, before answering, "What?"
Harry asked him, "How do I grow as big as Dad?"
Dan asked, "Why as big as him? I'm bigger!"
Harry pouted, "You look weird being that big and I don't want to look weird,"
Dan gawked at the answer, "W-weird?"
Dad grabbed Harry and put him on his shoulders. Harry copied him by putting Dan on his head, holding his wings to secure him in place. Dad asked, "Alright! I saw a buffet table over there! Let's grab some dinner!"
Harry cheered, "Yes!"
There was so many things to choose from and Harry was excitedly choosing everything that he felt like tasting. Nanna taught him that the trick to eat everything was to only take one from each spread. So he did just that. He then followed Aunt Ellie to the long table where a small girl with long and messy blond hair sat with her mum. The mother was excitedly talking to Mum about something and since Aunt Ellie to the space besides Dad, Harry took the only space left; besides the little girl.
She was smaller than him and her eyes were so big. Mum have big eyes too but hers seemed to be bigger. She looked like those ponies with magic. So he told her, "You look like Pinkie Pie...except you're not pink,"
She stared at him before asking, "Who is Pinkie Pie?"
Harry grinned, "She's a pink earth pony that loves to party! She have crazy pink mane that she can pull a canon out of and shot out a party from it!" He then whispered, "She's also very good at making other ponies out of cakes and balloons!"
The girl smiled at him, "She sounds fun!"
Harry nodded, "She is..." He then realized something as he stared at the little girl. He blurted out, "Will you be my friend? Mum said I should make people friend my age,"
The girl blinked before beaming, her giant eyes sparkling like stars, "I want people friend too,"
Harry grinned, "My name's Harry! You?"
She giggled, "Luna!"
He offered his hand and she shook it with her sticky hand. Well, now he have sticky hands too. Oh well! He just shrugged and started telling her about Pinkie Pie and friends and the power of friendship because "friendship is magic"! One just need to have loyalty, honesty, laughter, generosity, and kindness to make magic!
Luna was enraptured by his story about Nightmare Moon and the Everfree Forest. He regaled her with tales of epic battles between ponies with all the color of the rainbow and the bad dragons and changelings. When dinner ended, he was sad to say goodbye to her. So he hugged her, "Please don't forget about me,"
Luna hugged his back with her sticky hands sticking everywhere on his back, "I won't. You're my best friend!"
Harry grinned, "I have a Professor best friend so you can be my own age best friend, okay?" He then realized something and asked her, "Is that alright?"
Luna giggled, "Harry, everyone can be best friends! Just like Pinkie Pie and her friends!"
Harry grinned, "Yeah! Because friendship is magic!"
After Luna waved her hand, Harry turned teary eyes against Mum's side, sad that he had to say goodbye. Mum giggled and patted his back, "That's very nice of you, Harry,"
Harry looked at her, "She have really big eyes. They looked like the moon!"
Dan grumbled as Harry held him, "Ugh! Your hands are all sticky!"
Dad chuckled, "Let's go back. Jazz is already drooping," He smiled, "I'm glad she felt good today. She haven't been out much lately,"
The walk back was quite and Harry was determined to never forget his first best friend that was also his age; Luna. He hoped they'll see each other again. But how? He forgot to ask her where she live!
He looked at Mum, "Mum?" When she looked at him, he confessed, "I forgot to ask Luna where she lives,"
Mum smiled, "Don't worry. I know her Mum. She said that they lived at Ottery St. Catchpole. She even told me we can visit The Rook whenever. Just send a letter ahead with the owl,"
Harry grinned, "I'll send her letters then!"
Dad chuckled, "I don't know if she can read, Harry. She's 3,"
Harry's eyes widened, "She's younger than me?!"
