Something Off

Something was off with Elsa, Danny noted.

It wasn't really a bad thing. But she started blushing a lot around him. Not to mention the staring. She tried to be polite about it but he can't help but notice when she stared at him. Like when he was working and she was reading while Harry spent time with Jazz and Ellie. Well, she was reading the Encyclopedia of the World's History. But somewhere during reading, she stopped.

He took note that she stopped when he came anywhere near her line of sight and she would end up staring as if hypnotized. But that was still not so strange about Elsa watching him. It was the way she looked at him. She would stare at his exposed forearms and starting gulping. She would stare at his neck or his jaw, her pupils blown wide like twin black holes with her sky blues nothing but a ring.

Then she would flush redder than she already did, shaking her head and excusing herself from his presence.

Danny knew what that behavior meant. He had seen it. Had experienced it more times than he can count. After all, he wasn't a virgin teenage boy who just discovered sex.

She was watching him with lust.

It made his own body heat up and react. It was only his hell forged discipline that stopped him from showing how her staring affect him. But they were not married and there was the others in the house consider. Harry especially. Not to mention Elsa's own upbringing.

Danny wasn't big on staying chaste until marriage but he respected Elsa's upbringing. It was the reason why he held back a lot on romancing her. He wasn't actually sure where to even start. Just kissing her was already a big step for him in regards to her. Not to mention, from stories and Elsa's own admittance, she wasn't a romantic person as she had never felt romantic love. He pegged her for an aromantic/asexual person.

Danny on his part was a demisexual. All ghosts were known to either be demisexuals or asexuals as they were governed by their emotions and attachments. Meaning if they were emotionally attached to an object, they were asexual by nature. It was easy for him to go ahead when he felt an attachment towards someone. But he wasn't someone who would sleep with multiple people at once, despite having no emotional attachment. His sexual encounters usually came from a place of loneliness as there wasn't anyone like him. And his sex partners understood this so none ever asked him for more. They were just there to ease his loneliness.

Because of these reasons, he held back a lot with Elsa. He wanted more but he didn't want her to look at him with disgust. Sure, it had been awhile for him since his last roll around in the sheets. Like a few years, give or take? Danny wasn't really active sexually. But once he had the chance to actually do it, he would put his all in it so that he can be truly satisfied. Now, however?

Elsa made him horny 24/7, nice and simple.

So he silently suffered whenever there was a moment and Harry decided he wanted attention.

Ah...the suffering of a parent. No privacy.

It made him wonder how people with multiple children did it. He will have to ask Albus or maybe Severus when they next visit. Then again, Severus had remained single since forever. Well, he was a very loyal man to Lily. Danny hoped that the wizard will find his soulmate in the next cycle or something.

Now, Elsa was really tempting him.

She had just shown signs that she wasn't asexual, as he had feared. No. It was clear that she wanted him. For example, she stayed much longer than she usually would when sending up his protein shake during his training session to watch him go at the gym equipment. So he flexed his muscles around a little. When he took off his sodden shirt was her limit, however. She made a weird but cute choking noise before excusing herself. That made him smile.

It was a great relief to know that she wasn't made out of a chunk of ice.

Still, what started this?

He wasn't complaining but he wanted to know who corrupted the pure as snow Queen. It drove him up the wall at night, knowing that someone out there was teaching Elsa how to look at him as a man. Not just the father of Harry, her future husband. But a man!

He wasn't complaining but damn Clockwork's jammed gear, he wanted to know!

Jazz sat next to him as he dozed mindlessly on the field just outside their gate, watching the cloud drift by. It was cold and snow covered the ground but Bruni accompanied Jazz these days, keeping her warm. They only did this once Danny secured Hogsmeade. Besides, the fey have camped their own all around the hill that the Shrieking Shack was situated. Elsa and Harry was at the Rook, meeting their friends. He was a little lonely but he knew that they needed to make this connection.

Jazz poked his cheek, "You alive there, lil' bro?"

He croaked, "Half and half,"

She chuckled, "What's wrong? Something is pecking at your brain these days,"

Danny pursed his lips before saying, "Someone is teaching Elsa about sex,"

Jazz blinked before looking at him, "What? I mean...shouldn't she already know that?"

Danny looked at her, "Jazz...Elsa came from a time where sex is a taboo subject to speak to a non-married woman?" He raised a brow at her.

Jazz hummed, "I see...I didn't really think about that," She then looked at him, "What's wrong with that?"

He scowled, "...nothing. It's just me being a misogynistic pig,"

Jazz snorted, "You're jealous,"

Danny rolled his eyes, "It's dumb, I know,"

Jazz looked at him, "She's not sleeping around, at least,"

Danny clenched his teeth, baring his fangs, and growled, "Ancients help whoever put their hands on her,"

Jazz smacked his cheek, bringing his humanity back to the surface, "Don't be mindlessly possessive, Danny. No woman like that," She sighed, "Elsa is a family gal. You can believe in that, yes? She will never do anything that will dishonor you. At least in this way, her old fashioned upbringing helps,"

Danny grumbled, rubbing his face, "That is just it, Jazz! I am hyper-focused on her and we are not even married! Sure, Harry call me Dad and her Mum, but!" He sighed, "It was like a constant reminder by him, even though that was just him being affectionate. Can you believe it that I get horny watching her playing with Harry?" She smacked his mouth, "Come on, Jazz! I need someone to talk to about these shits!"

Jazz rolled her eyes, "You are a smitten husband, that's what you are,"

He frowned, "We are not married...yet,"

Jazz looked at him with a fond smile, "Danny, you marriage isn't the only thing that can consolidate two people as husband and wife? Emotional bond and spiritual connection determine this more than a piece of paper,"

Danny huffed, "Jazz, I'm not going to forgo marriage just to prove a point,"

Jazz shook her head, "I'm not saying that you should be like those 'modern' family we heard about growing up. That was just being irresponsible because you can just bolt without any monetary consequences. But there is also a truth to that," She looked at him, "Do you love her?"

Danny paused at that and stared at the sky, "...had you asked that earlier this year, I would say no. I would say that she's pretty and she's right for Harry, but I won't say I love her. But...watching her being a mother to Harry, helping you with your illness, puttering around the house trying to learn to be a housewife, I...I think I do now," He sighed, "She was totally not my type,"

Jazz giggled, "But now she is your only type,"

Danny smiled, "Yeah..."

Jazz smiled at him, "Danny, when I asked you to bring Harry someone that can be his mother, I never expect you to go straight to wife hunting,"

Danny looked at her, "Jazz, a mother should be a wife. Sure, people hardly put stock in that but...but it is easier on the child if the person they call mother is also the wife of their father. It is easier to introduce to others and to stay together. There is security in that. Isn't that what we want for him?"

Jazz hummed, "You're right. This is easier for Harry. But you will have to explain to him that normally people marry first before they become Mum and Dad,"

Danny burst out laughing, "I know. He'll be confused when people point this out,"

Jazz giggled, "But it won't matter in the end. You are a family and that is it,"

The two stay there on the field, just watching the clouds roll by and the village burping out smokes from their chimneys...until Jazz coughed and Danny picked her up to put her to bed. She felt so light and bony in his arms now. It was a jarring reminder that they didn't have much longer with her.

These final days with her were precious beyond compare.

When Elsa return in the evening, Danny decided to pretend that he was out but instead became invisible to spy on her. He wanted to know what caused this changes to her way of looking at him. So he quietly watched her as she goes about her day as usual. There was nothing unusual.

Harry caused his typical problems due to being 4. Elsa will step in and determine whether he needed a scolding or not and react appropriately. She also helped Jazz's health by sitting with her and showing her how she made lace in her free time. He didn't know she can weave lace by hand. Jazz looked better as Elsa sat with her for the evening. Then Harry caused problem, again, being a rambunctious child. This time he got a lecture about safety in the kitchen. She then taught him how she made his chocolate drink.

Pepper was away for something or other.

But when Pepper returned, she was carrying a book in her hand. One that she immediately put in Elsa's room. That was suspicious. Elsa thanked the elf and the evening returned to the normal routine.

Dinner arrived and she head up to his office and found it dark and absent of him. She looked at his office table and chair, touching the table and sitting in his chair for a moment, sighing. She looked around, before standing up and petting Spooky. After refilling the bird's water bowl and food, she left.

They had dinner and Harry pouted about his absent. He silently sent an apology to the kid before Elsa wrestled him to take a bath as he was stinky from playing all day with Luna. He watched as she tickled the boy and blew raspberries into his belly, making him squeal in excitement. She then sat with him and read him some of his favorite stories. Once he was tired out after showing Elsa how the story should have gone, practically acting it out for her, she bid him goodnight and turned off the light, showing Danny's work of art on the ceilings. She smiled at it for a moment before closing the door, leaving a crack open.

She then entered her room.

Danny sat on her ceiling while she go about preparing for bed. He tried not to be voyeur when she was changing but it was very tempting. After all, she might have a slight built she was curvy in all the right places. The fact that she was often covered made him want to undress her even more. So he only turned to the window and watched as the dullahan rode around the hill. He noticed curious centaurs lurking by the trees, watching the dullahan patrol the hill. He very much tried not to watch her through the reflection on the window glass.

He only turn when she turned off the main light and opened the reading light by her bed. He watched as she brought out the book inside her drawer and opened a marked page. She read quietly before her cheeks turned red and it slowly dawned on Danny just what she was reading and from where her sexual appetite was awakened.

She was reading erotica.

Holy macaroni.

Elsa stopped, put the book down and climbed off her bed to pace. She mumbled things like "surely not" or "it can't possibly fit" and "no, that's impossible" before returning to the book to read again. She then looked in the direction of his room before blushing hard and shaking her head, throwing her face into her pillow and kicking her legs in the air.

Was she thinking about...?

Was that why she was staring at his hands and feet?

She was suspecting his size, wasn't she?

Danny bit his lip as he leered at his wife-to-be. It seemed that she have been having dirty thoughts about him and didn't know what to do with it. Well, that would explain all the staring. Erotica can be rather unrealistic and he was a big man. His hands and feet also evolved as he grew, making one of his hand bigger than her head. It wasn't like he hand Hulk sized hands and feet, but they were certainly big. She was trying to make sense between what she saw of him and what she was reading.

But she was also sexually frustrated as not was there really nothing she can do, she wasn't sure what to feel about him as he and her were marrying due to a contract. Well, it wasn't a contract like one would think. He needed her for Harry and she was willing for Harry. That was it. The sole reason they were even together was for Harry. So what right would she have to be lusting after him?

At least, he suspected that was her thought.

Elsa was a naturally private person but she was also an anxious woman. Growing up, she had to suppress most of her own want and desire such as close friends and freedom to express herself. Due to this, opening up to others was a very big step to her.

Another parallel of him and her.

While Danny dealt with his anxiety through quips and bravado, Elsa hid hers behind a mask.

Deciding to leave his obviously horny but sleepy bride, Danny returned to his own room. He sighed as he can still smell her musk, causing his own body to react to her arousal as she read. He slipped into the bathroom to deal with the most immediate problem before tackling the rest...

Danny smiled at her the next morning, catching her by surprise as she tried to join Harry by the swimming pool, "Good morning,"

Elsa blinked, her eyes roaming his face before settling on his lips for a few heartbeat, only to look back into his eyes, "Good morning. You had a busy day yesterday. You weren't at dinner,"

Danny applauded her attempt to be casual with him despite now knowing what she was really thinking when she was looking at him, "Yeah. It was...enlightening,"

Very enlightening.

Elsa stared at him in confusion before nodding, "Alright. I better watch over Harry while he swim,"

Danny followed her down to the swimming pool, "Why didn't you join him?"

Elsa looked at him, "I...I don't exactly have anything appropriate to wear,"

Danny hummed, "We could correct that. Let's go to London this weekend,"

Elsa frowned, "Harry is afraid of the very word 'London'?"

Danny grinned at her, "So? Let's make it a date, then! Ellie can babysit him,"

He walked past her and took off his bathrobe, clad only in a streamlined swimming trunk. It hugged his legs and hip. He can feel her eyes on his backside and Danny flexed his muscles as he stretch before jumping in. Harry squealed, "Dad!"

Harry was always happy to have Danny join him for anything.

Meanwhile, he spied a red faced Elsa. But this time, she didn't leave.

This time, she sat down in her usual spot and watched.

He played around with Harry, teaching him several more swimming techniques. He then did his swimming up and down the swimming pool. Harry tried to keep up in his shallower end but stop, tired out. He watched Danny did his breast strokes and butterflies before stopping to look at Elsa. He grinned, "Harry!"

Harry looked at him, "Yes, Dad?"

Danny pointed, "Mum is dry!"

Elsa gasped and shook her head at their now impish looking boy. She squealed when Harry started trying to wet her with the water, giggling while she tried to shield herself from his attack, "Harry! Harry, no! Harry!"

Danny continued, "It isn't fair that she's dry!"

Harry agreed wholeheartedly, "Yeah!"

Elsa huffed, "No! Stop it!" Alas, Harry's magic reacted and drenched her completely. Elsa screamed as the water fell all over her.

Harry cheered, "Yes!" He then pulled her, "Come on, Mum! Dad is good at teaching how to swim! Let's swim!"

Elsa tried to pull back, "Harry, I am not wearing the right clothes!"

Harry rolled his eyes, "Then just take them off!"

Elsa blushed, "Harry, I-!"

Harry somehow managed to banish her clothes off of her. Elsa fell in choked silent as she sat in her underwear while Danny just blinked at sight of so much of her skin exposed. Meanwhile, Harry just grinned, "There! You are ready for swimming!"

Danny climbed out of the water and wrapped her in his bathrobe, "Alright, Harry. Enough teasing. Also, get ready for breakfast. Go,"

Harry pouted but relented, knowing Danny's words as law in the house, "Okay..."

As the boy ran into the house, Danny looked at the red faced Queen on the chair. He bent over and Elsa looked up to see him looming over her. He smirked at her, his eyes half lid as he stared into hers, "You know...you are a very sexy woman, in or out of those clothes,"

Before she could protest, he kissed her. This time, he didn't hold back. He wanted her to know that he want her too. She just need to be forward with him. He cradled the back of her head, pressing his lips flushed against hers and invading her mouth with his tongue. She gasped at the unexpected change and he swallowed her moan as she tried to keep up with him.

He then pulled back and smiled, "Come on. Let's get you up to dry,"

She looked at his offered hand, stupefied by the passion that he just showed her. She warily accepted his hand and he pulled up against his wet body. Elsa stiffened a little when he hugged her but he was just hugging her tighter than his usual before letting her go. He was just giving her a taste of what he really wanted. He wanted her to understand that he want her but he was willing to wait for her to be at ease with the idea of sharing her body with him.

He can be a ruthless King but he refused to be a cruel husband.

Most importantly, he was determined to be her first and only husband.

During breakfast, the icy wall she put up out of shock from his actions slowly thaw as their normal daily routine continued. But whenever he moved close to her, made sure that she can feel his body pressing up against her. Or when she was handing him something, he made sure to let his touch linger a while longer, rubbing his thumb over her fluttering pulse.

He will wait.

They were getting married anyway.
