{Chapter 5 ~ Ginny's Secret}
"Harry! Wake up!" Ron was shouting in my ear.
I groaned and tried to remember what happened.
"Ginny? Where's Ginny?" I bolted upright, but obviously it was too much for my body and I slumped to the floor.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
"Ron, what happened?" I asked, trying to wrack my brain.
"Well, Ginny was almost touching me and you threw that rolling pin to me. I didn't catch it though, it hit me in the chest and I screamed. This made Ginny turn around and look you straight in the eyes. That's when you collapsed," Ron informed me.
"Yes, I remember that, but what about Ginny?" I persisted.
"She turned back to normal as soon as you collapsed," Ron sighed.
I carefully sat up, making sure to do it smoothly. Once I did, I saw a flash of long red hair behind Ron.
"Ginny!" I shouted, "Ron, get out of the way!"
Reluctantly Ron stepped aside and Ginny stepped forwards.
"I'm really sorry Harry, I didn't mean to," Ginny said, looking down at the floor.
"It's okay Ginny, but is there anything you aren't telling us?" I replied calmly.
"I don't know, I keep feeling weird, like someone's always watching me. It started this morning at about ten o'clock," she sighed.
Ten o'clock, what was I doing at ten o 'clock? The book. No. It couldn't. I didn't realise that I'd started to go a bit pale.
"Um, Harry, are you okay?" Ginny asked uncertaintly.
Ye-yeah, I'm fine," I shook myself out of my trance.
"Okay then, if you're sure," Ginny said making eye contact with Ron.
I unexpectedly ran upstairs and grabbed my father's book. I flipped through the pages until I got to the very last page. Only half of it was there, the top half. The bottom half had obviously been ripped off sometime before I got this book.
Note: This book is very old and powerful. A time will come, when this book will grow too old and it will need more power. This book feeds off dark energy because it's so powerful, when a specific person comes to open this book, a dark spell will be placed on one of their loved ones. Their hearts will slowly grow darker each day and night. This process will take about six months. They will eventually become one of the darkest people possible and will slowly bring chaos to this world. When this world has been destroyed, the Muggle world will come next.
Well thanks dad! You couldn't have put that at the front of the book? I thought feeling annoyed, I sighed. This is really, really bad. Who do I know I can trust who can help me fix this? Come on Harry, think. Hermione? No, she'll freak out if I tell her I stole a book from the library. What about Neville? Or-or Luna? Neville can't help me, he's not knowledgeable enough in this area. Luna, bingo! I smiled and set off to find her.
I rode my broom to Hogwarts and walked down the old ruins of Hogwarts.
"Harry, nice to see you," a familiar voice said behind me.
I turned around to find Luna standing alone with something in her hand.
"Luna! Just the person I wanted to see right now. Uh, firstly though, what are you holding?" I asked.
"Oh, this is just a 'sparder', it helps me find things that are sparkly," she smiled.
"Okay then, um, I was wondering if you could help me," I frowned.
"Sure thing! I know just the very room you can tell me in!" Luna giggled and skipped over to a wall.
An ornate door started magically appearing. First the door knobs and then the door frame. Lastly the middle of each door closed in with a white spark.
"Come on! Let's go!" Luna skipped inside.
"Good idea Luna, The Room of Requirement," I breathed.
As I walked inside, I closed the door behind me. I looked around, no damage had been taken to the room and everything was in place. The fight against Voldemort hadn't spread to The Room of Requirement luckily.
"So, tell me what happened and I'll think of a way I can help," Luna smiled encouraging me.
"Well, I found the Elder Wand this morning on my bedside table, I showed Hermione and Ron because I thought they could help. We then went to the library and searched for some books to find more information about the Elder Wand. I sneaked off to the restricted area though, while they were looking and I found a book. It's written by my father and it's called 'Old Spells for Time Travel'. I stole it because I wanted to examine it. At the moment it's back at The Burrow under my pillow. Anyway, on our way back from the library, Ron found Ginny sprawled on the floor. We took her to the hospital wing and left her to rest there, after that, we went down to The Burrow. I went to my bedroom to check out the book I stole but I heard Ron screaming. So I ran out to see what it was and Ginny was there, her eyes were red and her hair was black."
"That's very interesting that her eyes were red and her hair was black. There was one legend called 'The Cursed Wizard'. The legends say that if a witch or wizard's eyes were blood red and their hair had turned jet black, then they were under a dark curse. There was no cure known to exist. But one unknown wizard from a far away land knew a special potion to heal them. He passed down his secrets for generations to come. But nowadays, no one has seen or heard of the special potion to heal the cursed people. If they have, they thought the wizard was cursed himself, or had gone crazy from old age. Even though it's just a legend, I still think it's true," Luna shrugged her shoulders.
"So you think we could try to find out what the potion is?" I asked hopefully.
"My mother always said, if you keep trying, nothing is impossible. I can help if you like," Luna smiled.
