18. Twin Fates

A/n: Thank you for reading my book!!! I hope you like this chapter!!! ❤❤❤

Two days after Emrys told them that Harry might be the one who's prophesied to go against Lord Voldemort, fear had developed deep inside James and Lily. They knew that Elwyn could have a fate inside the archipelago but Harry's future was something they did not expect. It even made them want to get Harry to escape that destiny but they knew it wouldn't help their son by making him try to escape his fate. They knew that no matter how much they tried to go against it, his fate will call him. All they could do was support him and make sure that Harry would be ready to fight his enemy. Elwyn, meanwhile, had already received her limiter after Lord Emrys finished his magical incantation that early morning. At the time he was finished, her parents watched her faint and her dragon, Ruby stepped beside her master and moaned in worry. She kept on licking her face, and they were shocked when they heard her talk. "She will be fine, right? I don't want her to be hurt."

"She's going to be fine, right?" James asked him. "Thank you for giving her a chance to train with you and transfer to Blue Diamond Magic School."

"Remember that I will slowly release her magic as she aged," Emrys reminded them. "Even so, I will still send her to train with someone powerful and someone I trust for now after she wakes up."

Lily held her daughter's right hand to stop her hands from trembling. "Who could it be, sir? We know very few dragonriders even if we live with dragonriders here in Andenor City."

"Governor Ulfhild is a powerful dragon rider," Emrys reminded them. "He will be able to guide your daughter in taking care of Ruby, the Red Dragon, and also, teach him enchantments that are only spoken by dragonriders."

James was flustered. "Thank you for taking care of my children. It is truly an honor to have you as a guest in my house."

"I can see that your children will have a great future and it was obvious that they do have twin fates," Emrys sighed. "Raise them well, James and Lily. The world will soon depend on them."

James smiled at him. "Thank you for all your help, sir. I will make sure to train them and give them all the knowledge they need when their fates call them."

"Where is Harry?" Lord Emrys asked them. "I want to see the young boy and see the great wonders that he could do at his young age."

"Harry's... with... Professor Yevina," Lily stuttered. "He goes to school every morning, right?"

"Ah! Right!" Lord Emrys chuckled as he remembered who Yevina was. "They are at the right age to go and study at Blue Diamond Magic School now. Yevina Johansson is a beautiful half-elf. Many elves fall for her beauty and grace. She's also a very powerful witch. It would be great to meet them, again as it has been hundreds of years since I've seen them. I was stuck staying alongside a goddess and it was only now that I got out of the cave. I'm a weird human, aren't I?"

James and Lily stared at each other in surprise after they heard Emrys say those words as he talked like an old man trapped inside the body of a young man. He lived his life for so long in the cave ever since he was young. It was his fate to become an immortal man. He was also the reason for the legend of King Arthur, after all. Even so, he had times wherein he was able to see the world evolving in England where he worked for so long in the Middle Ages for a few times. Even so, he returned to the archipelago again to survive when World War One and World War Two happened. Ever since that time, he wasn't able to get out of the cave. At times, he knew that he missed the time when King Arthur reigned over Albion.

"Don't worry about it, Lord Emrys, we understand you," James told him. "Maybe, we could all visit the school so you could see her again."

"Would she even want to see me? I'm sure she'll just be angry if she ever saw me as I left her on her own devices many years ago," Emrys held on his white staff. "She might just get shocked to see me. Yevina knew that I lived in the Cave of Truth but she never went there to meet me or call me there."

...

It was already very dark when Harry arrived back home and at the time he saw his parents, he hugged them and after he saw Lord Emrys, he bowed to him as a sign of respect. His arrival broke the awkward atmosphere and most of all, it made Lily smile. She's very grateful and happy to see her child happy.

"I made friends with a lot of other kids, mom!" Harry exclaimed. "I wasn't just the only human there! I was very happy to know that there are many of us! There were a few half-elves, too!"

"That's great to know!" Lily told him. "Have you already learned new magical spells today?"

"No, mom," Harry replied as he placed his bag down. "Professor Yevina is teaching us geography and mathematics."

"What about your new friends, today?" James asked him. At the same time, Emrys has already said his goodbyes to him. "Who are they, Harry? I'm glad that you're making such a great time in your school!"

"They were all humans, mom, and dad! The Half-Elves in school were very uncomfortable though," Harry replied to them. "My friends are Hermione, Ron, and Draco! I also met a senior who's in his third year. As far as I remember, his name was Cedric Diggory."

James ruffled his hair. "My child is truly eleven years old, now! I'm getting afraid to see you grow more, son! Don't grow too fast on us, okay?"

Harry had a very big smile on his lips when Lily hugged and wrapped her arms around him so tightly. She knew that her young son would feel how worried she was for him but she was also very thankful for that time. She knew that while Harry's young, she had to treasure every moment with him before things change for them. "It seemed to be a good thing for us that we don't need to send our children to a dormitory school where they won't see them for almost the whole year. I might have not survived if I don't see them. I'm very glad that Professor Dumbledore sent us here and also, tell Queen Rowyna how thankful I am that she gave us a place here in her kingdom. We may be running in fear when they were very young after Voldemort tried to kill them."

Harry stared at his parents that time as he was very confused that time. He's already eleven years old, and he's not a very small child anymore. "Who's Voldemort, mom, dad? Was it us that you're talking about? I've always heard his name for years, now."

Lily gulped in shame as she had forgotten that Harry was already aware of his surroundings and he was not that innocent anymore. "He... He is..."

"We'll explain to you at the—" James stopped talking when he saw that their child was staring at the two of them and so, he knew he has to say the truth to him. "He is a dark wizard, son."

A/n: To those still reading my story, I want to extend my gratitude to all of you! I want to say thank you to all of you! :)
