"I smile all the time so that nobody knows how sad & lonely I really am."

Arden Harrington is invisible next to her brother, the King of Hawkins High, Steve Harrington. She never cared about not having the spotlight, she liked the simple life she lead. The simple life of reading comics, playing D&D with her best friends, and acing science class. People always thought that life in Hawkins, Indiana was boring, but she didn't mind the lack of events. She knew that nothing was ever going to happen, or at least she thought nothing happened. 

But everything changed when her best friend and her crush, Will Byers, goes missing. 

Arden is determined to find her best friend for more reasons then the rest of her party knew about.

But when they were looking for Will in the woods on a cold rainy night, they come across a girl with a shaved head. Arden and her friends take her in, and learn that the girl has supernatural powers. They also find out that Will was taken by a D&D character and that the monster is holding Will in a different dimension. 

Arden thought nothing would ever happen in Hawkins, Indian. 

Boy was she wrong.
