Young
My mother told me
The sands of Tatooine shifted in the breeze. A lone guard stood outside the rock outcropping. They, and the rest of the camp, were part of one of the many slaver gangs on the desert planet. They had no captives. Yet.
A fact that this group hoped to change. The guard, a male human, thought of this as he lit a cheap cigarette. When they got their hands on some captives to sell in one of the cities, their week would be made. Liquor, good food, nice whores.
He smiled, blowing out the smoke as he dreamt. Dreams that would never come to pass as a shadow loomed over him.
Someday I will buy
The others loitered around their camp. They all stood up though when they heard a whooshing sound.
From the towering rock behind them, a blac and red armored Mandalorian rocketed into the sky. They leveled their forearms, shooting two rockets that tore into the camp and several of the slavers.
The Mandalorian landed, instantly pulling out duel Westar 35 blasters. Shots rang out as they fired. The first salvo took out two. A twist caught another before moving back to dispatch a fourth.
They aimed their gauntlets, lowering their hand as fire flew out to incinerate a trio.
Two tried to rush them, armed with knives. The Mando holstered their weapons and hopped away. They grabbed the arm of one, kneeing them in the gut. They moved their head from the second, throwing an armored punch into their face.
Twisting around, they shoved the first assailant's head into the second.
As the two enemies turned back to them, the mandalorian engaged the vibroblades in their armor forearms. The slavers attacked again with their knives as the armored person effortlessly deflected the blows and sunk their blades into them.
A galley with good oars
The armored figure walks away from the camp, to their speeder. As they approach, they remove their helmet.
It is revealed to be Jac Fireblade, the feared Mandalorian bounty hunter. The wind blew through the black and red strands. The heterochromatic blue and green eyes stared out into the sandy expanse. He ran his hand over one side of his fade before pulling out his hologram and turning it on.
The figure of Fennec Shand appeared. "I take it you took care of those slavers?" she asked.
"Yes. they have been eliminated." Jac responded.
"Good." She said, "We await your return."
Jac nodded. "Understood." With that, he ended the call and pulled on his helmet. Mounting his speeder, he started it and headed for the palace.
Sail to distant shores
As the speeder floated over the sands of the desert planet, he thought about that song. It was an ancient Mandalorian lullaby. It was about a mother telling her child that they would buy a ship and discover new lands. His own buirs and his grandfather sang it to him.
He missed them so much.
As the suns set, he pulled up to Jabba's palace. As his speeder approached the gate, a shadow came over him.
Stand up on the prow
Jac instinctively turned the speeder as a green blur slammed into the ground where he once was.
Jac hopped from the speeder and landed in a crouch, his black and red caping fluttering dramatically.
"You missed again old man."
The green and red armored Boba Fett chuckled at this. "Bet I won't miss this." He suddenly threw a punch at Jac's helmet. The younger man blocked it and kicked at Boba's leg. The two cousins kept trading blows, the front yard ringing from the sound of beskar on beskar.
Noble barque I steer
"Had enough?" came a voice from the gate. Fennec Shand appeared, slightly dismayed at the others' antics.
"For now." Boba said, with a hint of competition to come. Jac just smirked under his helmet.
The two Mandalorians followed the sharpshooter into the palace. "I hope that job wasn't too difficult." Boba teased.
"Get me a cold drink and I'll go after more." Jac challenged.
