Syn leapt out of the way of Agoti's lashing arm, landing on his toes, before being kicked in his stomach, sliding to the edge of the platform.
With a snap, Syn appeared at Agoti's side, sending his own kick at him.
Agoti leaned out of the way and grabbed Syn's foot, spinning around and slamming him into the ground.
'I haven't had to fight using this power in five years...' Syn thought rolling out of the way of Agoti's fist, his tendril-like arm reeling back after the miss.
"You're fast, but that can only do but so much." Agoti taunted.
"I don't know— The speed of sound is pretty powerful." Syn said before appearing in Agoti's face and kicking his chin upward.
Syn punched his chest with a snap, and with a bit of spatial hesitation, Agoti's body flew right off the platform, and into a large coliseum off in the distance.
Syn sighed and looked at his clothes, happy to see nothing had been too damaged.
"It's pretty obvious you excel at combat too. That's nice." Alexa smiled. "Don't act like you're not the root of this problem..." Syn sighed, but was only met with a giggle.
Agoti's hand latched onto the platform they stood on, and he landed back with an annoyed stare.
"Damn... I underestimated you. I didn't know you were controlling the sound you make... wonder how that works..." Agoti hummed, before grinning again.
"We're just getting started, right? Round 2 is in order! You're pushing your luck!" Agoti declared, summoning his mic again.
"Wait! Can I get like... some backstory? What are you doing here?" Syn asked, hoping to stall for a breather.
"Me? I'm assuming same reason you are. A good artist on the come-up, hated upon and banished for outdoing the competition?" Agoti asked.
"What? No. I was doing karaoke when I got thrown in here for rejecting her..." Syn said pointing to Alexa, who waved happily.
"...oh. Sad case." Agoti said with a shrug, making Syn do the same.
"Your's sounds a lot more traumatic. If rap battling's the only way out, let's just keep it up! I'm sure we'll be out in no time!" Syn said with confidence.
"Hell yeah!" Agoti said as the two turned their mics on.

Syn spun out of the way of Agoti's fist slam, and flipped over it as he slung it towards him. In midair, he boosted towards him and sent a kick at his chest, but Agoti's used his freehand to block.
Agoti smirked and headbutt Syn back, before using his hair to send him crashing into the ground.
With amazing reflexes, Syn had extended his mic and blocked with the stand, sliding his feet into the ground, before Agoti brought his tendrils back.
"Sheesh... what's with the pent up aggression...?" Syn mumbled.
"I've been stuck here for years!" Agoti shouted.
"...Fair point." Syn agreed.
"Ugh... I'm not going to be one of hundreds of artists that die here! If it takes you being my substitute— so be it! Let's dance, midget man! The kingpins won't be standing much longer after this one!" Agoti shouted, taking his mic and clapping his hands together, before slamming it into the ground.
"This is the worst Friday eve—"
Syn was cut off as an array of massive black pillars struck through each an every platform, making them all fly skyward and towards the white void above, meaning escape was near.
"Can you handle this?" Alexa asked Syn teleporting beside him.
"Uh... don't know, but I can try." Syn said with a shrug, the bruises and cuts on his body deciding to wait just a bit longer to kick in.
The massive amounts of black pillars rushing upward, set the tone for the last moments of battle. The curse was broken and the void would be no more, but that doesn't mean the show was over.

Syn was punched seven times by Agoti's quickened lashes, making him stagger.
He disappeared as Agoti's eighth punch was thrown, and continued to dodge and evade the attacks as he recollected his thoughts.
Jumping above a punch, he grabbed his arm as Agoti reeled it back, sending a spinning kick at Agoti's head.
Blocking, Agoti thrust his arms out, smacking Syn away, but caught him by his foot again, and began dragging him through the dirt.
Syn decided to hold on to him, and endured it, and as soon as Agoti stopped his momentum to do it again, he snapped his fingers and ran down his arm, sending a knee straight at his face.
Agoti's head recoiled back, and Syn slid behind him with both hands reeled back.
He slammed them together, and wave of air slammed into Agoti's back with a crack of thunder.
Agoti grunted in pain and spun his tendrils around like a top, slamming both into Syn's rib cage. Syn shouted in agony hearing a crack, and was sent flying into a rising pillar, sending him even higher.
Soaring loosely through the air, he held his side and winced.
'Are you okay? Still got it?' Alexa asked in his head. "Not sure how you're doing this— but I'm just peachy." Syn said sarcastically.
Syn looked at his bare wrist, and hummed, waiting on something— and it soon arrived in the form of Agoti's fist, that he leaned out of the way of.
Syn grabbed his wrist, and Agoti tried to slam him back down towards him, but Syn snapped just before landing and slid just in front of Agoti, slamming his fist into his chin.
Agoti stumbled back and grunted in anger, before yelling and grabbing Syn with both hands.
"Uh oh." 'I should probably start playing defense...' Syn gulped nervously.
Being flung back into the air, Agoti reeled back both his fists, and Syn did the same as the white void above began to shine brighter the closer they got.
The two shouted as they sent their last attacks, the shine starting to blind the two.
Agoti sent an array of bullet-like punches, and Syn began to continuously throw his hands around, snapping his fingers to distort the air and block the attacks, just as they were enveloped in light.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" The two continued to shout, still sending their attacks as they began to plummet.
"You guys— we're back! Stop fighting!" Alexa yelled, reappearing again.
"Huh?" The two asked, looking around. They noticed they were in a much nicer and advanced-looking city, named Purgatory.
"..."
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" They continued, but now in fear, hugging each other.
Alexa sighed, before snapping her own fingers.

Suddenly, appearing on the sidewalk of a street, Alexa covered both of their mouths, knowing they'd continue screaming.
They quickly looked around and noticed, darting to their feet and clearing their throats.
"I'm out... I'm really out of that damn prison...!" Agoti cheered.
"Damnit, back in the real world... Praying your dad doesn't find out I'm alive." Syn frowned. "I think you know that's not gonna happen." Alexa shrugged.
"Just what the hell have you done..." Syn muttered rhetorically.
"Your best bet is... uh... protection! Yeah, you need some protection." Alexa said with a nod.
"You think I'm gonna ask you, don't you?" Syn scoffed, seeing right through her bullshit.
"Wha?! Why not? I can either persuade him to lay off, or stop whoever's too difficult for you." She said with pride.
"Again... the root of the problem. Honestly, I'd be better off going with Agoti and whoever he's signed t—"
"Nope. It would not be better... at all." Agoti said seriously.
"So, I'm just fucked..."
"Well, no, but that can be arranged—"
"Shut it."
"Thanks again... Syn?" Agoti said with a wave. "Yup. See ya'." Syn nodded, placing a hand on his hip as he looked around the city.
"Wait, isn't this where I was moving...?" Syn mumbled. "I wonder how long it's been." Alexa commented.
"I don't have my phone, but seeing as it's day, it's been at least six hours." Syn thought aloud.
"Excuse me," He stopped a passerby, and they removed their headphones in response. "What's today's date?" He asked.
"What are you? Time travelers? It's December 4..." The guy answered, albeit with sass. "Thanks..." Syn said in shock, seeing that a week had passed.
"Oh." Alexa smiled. "You know what that means?!" She asked.
"Not... really, no." Syn replied, still appalled that a week had past, meaning that he's behind on moving... which also means he was probably evicted... and his belongings are gone...
"It's karaoke night again! Are you going?" She asked with enthusiasm.
"Nope. No. Nada chance. Will never catch me there again. I have no home. None of my belongings. And whoever I was moving in with doesn't have my contact information seeing as we were supposed to meet Sunday..." Syn complained.
"This literally ruined my livelihood... thank you so, so much, ma'am." Syn spat, not even bothering to look at her.
"Okay, fair... but hey, I don't see why I should be exempt from love just because of my father's reputation. I genuinely like you, and I wanted to give it a shot... blame him not me." Alexa said with a frown, actually hurt by his words.
"...oh, don't worry. He's gonna get the worst of it when I get my hands on him— and you're right. It's not really your fault... I know how difficult parents can be." Syn said with a sigh, obviously still regretting everything.
"Does that mean you forgive me?!" Alexa asked with glee. "Not yet, no. I still have no home, clothes, and right now... no pride." Syn said with a groan.
"It's a start!" Alexa said wrapping her arm around his shoulder. "A very horrible start..." he agreed, squinting his eyes.
