"I'm Ruby the leader of Team RWBY, and these are my teammates Weiss," she said, gesturing to the girl in white, "Blake," gesturing to the girl in black, "and my sister Yang," gesturing to the girl in yellow.

"It's pleasant to meet you all," I said with a smile.

I saw the girls started to get a confused and shocked expression.

"Are you alright?" I asked in a confused tone.

"Yeah, it's just... masks normally don't show expressions," said Blake in a surprised manner.

"Oh, right. I keep forgetting that I have that on. It's like part of my skin," I explained.

"That's cool, but can you show the face under the mask? I would like to meet the brave knight that's hiding under his helmet," said Yang.

I was surprised by her comment to say the least. I'm used to much human interactions, let alone complimented by a girl, so all this is new for me.

"Miss Xiao Long? Please, restrain yourself from flirting with the new student. He spent the better part of his live at the ruined city at Mountain Glenn, so he's not used to much social interactions," said Nickel.

"Yeah... Even I can feel how uncomfortable (F/n) feeling," said Rogue.

"Wait, Moutain Glenn? How?" asked Weiss.

"I though that was obvious from the initiation that Ozpin gave me. And that request about the mask... I guess I can do that, since I'm going to be here for a while," I said with a smile.

Everyone seemed surprised, but were eager nonetheless. I put my hands to the sides of the mask and carefully removing it, revealing my (e/c) eyes. After a minute or so in silence, I put my mask back on.

"Aww, why did you put it back on? We were enjoying your looks," said Yang.

"Because I don't really like being stared at, and it feels like I'm wearing nothing without it," I explained.

"I'm pretty sure you're going to gain more attention with it," said Weiss.

"At least then I know what they are looking at," I said to them.

"Fair point. Anyway, shall we go get some lunch?" Rogue asked.

"Yeah, team JNPR are probably wondering where we are," said Blake, walking toward the exit.

The rest of the group followed Blake, and even Rogue.

"Are you coming or what?" Rogue asked.

I decided to tag along, because I have no clue what else to do in this massive academy.

-Cafeteria-

I was being pulled by the group of four towards a table. While I looked around for an escape, I saw Rogue talking to a girl with bunny ears and and a girl with sunglasses and a fashionista hat.

"Hi everyone," said a blonde boy.

"Jaune, Pyrrha, Nora, Ren. This is (F/n), a new student here at Beacon," said Ruby.

"New? When?" asked Jaune.

"Officially, this morning," I responded as I pulled an orange from my bag.

"You should've seen him fight! It was so awesome!" said Ruby, excitedly.

"I must agree with Ruby, he managed to defeat the Grimm fighting simulator on the hardest difficulty," said Blake.

I saw the other team forming a shocked expression.

"Wait, 'the' hardest difficulty? As in Grimm Eclipse difficulty?" asked the girl with the crimson hair and emerald eyes.

"Yeah, and from what I saw, he's very skilled with his weapons," said Blake.

"OH! Can I see your weapon? Pretty pretty please?" Ruby begged.

"Can give me some space? But, I'm going back to the simulatorlater today, so you're more then welcome to join, I guess," I said, gently pushing Ruby away from my face.

"Don't tell me that it's going to be the hardest difficulty again," said Weiss in an uneasy tone.

"What? It was the only entertainment I had, aside from free running," I explained.

"Where did you live to have that as entertainment?" asked Ren.

"At the city near Mountain Glenn," I simply said.

A moment of silence was formed from this other team.

"That. So. Awesome!" said Nora.

"Ehm...thanks?" I said in an uneasy tone.

'And I though I was the weird one,' I though to myself.

"I'm surprised that you managed to survive there. Isn't that part just a ruined city, infested with Grimms?" asked Pyrrha.

"That'scorrect, but because of that, I was forced to survive," I explained.

"Mind if we challenge you for a spare, then?" asked Yang.

"A what?" I asked, as my mask mimics my confused expression.

"A friendly fight," said Ren.

"Oh, then sure, but let's do it, tomorrow. I want to explore Beacon for a bit," I said.

"That's understandable. It must be quite a huge change for you from the ruined city to this," said Jaune.

"Well, I'm going to my dorm. Echo is probably wondering where I am," I said as stand up from the table.

"Who's Echo?" Weiss asked.

"That's my pet. A Grimm Hydra," I said, leaving the cafeteria.

I started to walk to the dorm, until I noticed Rogue following me.

"Where are you going?" Rogue asked.

I turn around and saw the white fox, accompanied with the girls from before.

"Hey Rogue. I was just going to visit Echo," I responded.

"Alright. Oh, right. (F/n), this is Velvet," said Rogue, hugging the side of the bunny faunas," and this is Coco," he said, hugging the fashionista girl.

"Pleasure to meet you," said Velvet shyly.

"Nice to meet ya, masked one. You really need some new clothes," said Coco, in a slight serious tone.

"Cut him some slack. I told you where he came from," said Rogue.

"If I may ask, who's Echo?" Velvet asked curiously.

"You don't want to know," said Rogue.

"Anyway,it was nice to meet you," I said, walking back towards my dorm.

After walking around in the maze that is the academy, I managed to find the dorm again.

'Years of traveling around a destroyed city, and I can't find my room for the life of me,' I though to myself, opening the door.

The moment I opened the door, I heard Echo scampering towards me and jumped on me.

"Hey,big girl," I said, petting the different Hydra's heads.

"Finally found the room, have you?" said Nickel from inside the room.

I look up inside the room and saw him working on his desk, accompanied by another person. She looks like that she's around the same age of Nickel. She has pink hair, silver glasses, and she's barely shorter than Nickel.

"Amethyst, this is my new partner, and a special student, (F/n) Nephalem," said Nickel.

"Pleasure to meet you, (F/n), I'm Professor Amethyst Peach. I show Medical Attention and First Aid classes, both with and without aura," she explained.

"Pleasure to meet you as well, Amethyst," I said to her, standing up from Echo's tackle.

"(F/n), I do wish for you to come later today at the medical wing, I want to do a checkup, to see if your body is alright after all those years," she said in a calm voice.

"If Nickel will show the way for me, then I shall do it," I said with a smile.

"Thank you. Anyway, I shall leave the two of you alone now. See you later, dear," said Amethyst leaving the dorm.

Once she left the dorm, I gave a questionable look towards Nickel.

"What? She likes to know if the students that come here are healthy," said Nickel.

"I'm not judging," I said, as I kneel down and started to feed Echo.

"Any plans for the rest of the day?" Nickel asked curiously.

"I was wondering if you could show me how the simulator works. I loved the fight against those Grimms and I wanted to have another go at it," I said to him.

He seams to be surprised by my request.

"You're serious?" he asked.

"Yes, I'm serious," I responded.

"You're going to be a tough nut to crack, I can already tell," he said, going back to his work at his desk.

"I already was. I just enjoy slaughtering Grimms," I said with a smirk.

"Things are going to be interesting with you in our team," Nickel whispered.

'So I'm not the only one thinks that,' I though as I sit down at the sofa and started petting Echo.
