The Vytal Festival, usually a time of peace between kingdoms and a nice competition between all the academies. But not this time.

The Grimms are attacking Vale, the Atlas robots got hijacked and are attacking civilians and the White Fang are attacking Beacon. All of the hunters are trying to help evacuate the students or in Vale killing Grimms. Except for a couple of teams from all around Remnant...

They were fighting against Griffons, Atlas robots and Paladins, trying their best to defend beacon at all cost.

"Weiss!" Neptune screamed as he witnessed her getting smacked away by a Paladin.

Yatsuhashi grunts as he blocks a punch from another Paladin, only to shoved backwards. Meanwhile with Ren, he was panting of exhaustion while another Paladin made it's way behind him.

"Look out!" Nora screamed as she pushed him away, only to be hit by the Paladin's arm and flung back.

"Nora, no!" Ren screamed as he tried to help Nora, only to be met with the same fate.

The Paladin then turns to Coco, Velvet and Neptune, trying to attack the giant robot with their guns. But the bullets just ricocheted off of it's armour.

"Ehh, this is bad," Neptune commented in a worried tone.

"Well, no it's a better time than any, Velvet!" said Coco as she stopped shooting her minigun.

"Really?" she asked excitedly.

"Just make 'em count," Coco said.

Velvet nodded as she puts on a serious face and starts walking towards the Paladin.

"What are you doing? She's going to get hurt," Weiss claimed as she stands back up.

"Just watch," Coco commented.

Velvet lifted her right arm sideways and a light copy of Crescent Rose appeared in her hand. The Paladin charged a shot, and the moment it shot, Velvet jumped high in the sky and swung the scythe down, attacking it. Then the scythe disappeared, and a light version of Myrtenaster appeared in her left hand.

The Paladin swung around and was about to hit Velvet, but she blocked the hit with the rapier, causing the giant robot to get stunned. Then, Velvet did some back flips to gain some distance from the robot. She then sprinted towards the robot and started to attack it. In the middle of the attacks, she changed Myrtenaster into Ember Celica and sends the Paladin backwards by a couple of steps. Velvet then charged a shot and shoots it to the Paladin, while dodging another swing from the robot.

She changed Ember Celica into Gambol Shroud and jumped on the back swing of the robot's arm and attaching the ribbon on it. While the Paladin's arm stopped moving, Velvet used the momentum to swing around and wrap the ribbon around the legs. Once she lands on the ground, she pulled on the ribbon, causing the robot to fall.

A second Paladin appeared behind Velvet, and the when it was about to hit her with an attack, she cut the arm clean off. As the robot looked confused at it's arm, Velvet threw the scabbard (the holster of the sword) to the Paladin and then bombarded it bullets by a light version of Coco's minigun. The robot blocked the bullets while moving towards her, and when it was about to attack her, she blocked the hit with a light version of Sun's bo staff.

She then quickly climbed on the Paladin's arm and at the shoulder part, she jumped high into the sky and strikes the robot's arm off with a light version of Magnhild. She looks back to the first Paladin and saw that it was slowly standing up again. Velvet then created a light version of Pennys backpack and released the swords in it. She did a back flip jump and once she landed, she cut both the legs of the second Paladin, leaving it immobilised. She brought all the swords in front of her and started to charge the laser shot. The first Paladin looks at it's missing arm, but then got destroyed by the laser. Out of nowhere, a third Paladin came and managed to hit Velvet, leaving her hurt on the ground.

"Velvet!" Coco screamed as she starts shooting again at the Paladin.

Then Neptune and two other students joined Coco and shoot the robot, but Weiss run past them with the help of her glyphs. The Paladin noticed this and turns it's attention to Velvet. Weiss stood in front of Velvet, just as the Paladin was about to strike. Weiss closes her eyes and waited for the impact.

She heard the clash of metal with metal, but she felt nothing. Confused, she opened her eyes, and saw a certain snow fox fauna, wearing black and grey clothes, and a pure black katana, holding back the Paladin.

"Rogue!" Velvet screamed with joy.

Rogue then pushed the arm aside and jumped in the air. With a powerful strike, he cut the Paladin in half.

"Hey girls, missed me?" Rogue asked with a cocky smile.

Then, the ground started shaking and in thee distance, another Paladin came running towards them and prepared it's guns.

"You've got to be kidding me," said Sun, slightly annoyed.

"*Chuckles* Now this is going to be fun," said Rogue as he starts walking towards the Paladin.

-Bullhead Landing Pads-

"Everyone, please board in a calm and orderly fashion," said Amethyst, trying to calm down the chaos.

All the students tried to board the bullheads trying to get away from the Grimm and the Atlas robots. Nobody could really blame them, even some of the best hunters would probably flee from this.

While the students were slowly boarding the different Bullheads, Amethyst could hear some creams at the back. She turns to see what it was, and saw that there were some Atlas robot walking towards their direction and shooting at some of the students.

"Rhythm, Angel, come help me! The students at the back are getting attacked!" Amethyst screamed as she made her way through the crowd.

Once the three reached the other side of the crowd of students, the three Huntresses took a battle stand.

"Any ideas on how to defeat these guys, Peach?" Angel asked as she pulled out her bow with dust infused arrows.

"My best guess, aim for the neck or chest," said Amethyst as she grabs Nickels cane and pulls out the build in sword.

"What are we waiting for? Let's destroy them!" said Rhythm as she started shooting with her sniper rifle.

And so the three Huntresses started attacking the Atlas robot, but they were tougher than they looked. They managed to destroy some of them, but would always show up, along with some of the Griffon Grimms. Eventually, the tree Huntresses started to get tired and their attacks started to get slower.

"Where the fuck does all these Grimm come from!?" Rhythm asked in frustration.

"I *Pant* don't know. *Pant* But we can't give up!" said Amethyst as she supported her body on the cane.

Suddenly, a Griffin landed in front of Amethyst.

"Amethyst, what out!" Angel screamed.

The Grimm started attacking her and she managed to block some of it's attacks, but the Griffon had the upper hand and slapped her to the ground. Amethyst tried to crawl away from the Grimm as it was about to eat her. Amethyst closes her eyes and waited for her fate, only to be met with nothing. She opened her eyes and saw the Griffin's beak being held back by a man with a short brown hair, wearing a black and grey suit and holding the beak open with the same cane she had.

"No one," he started as he pushed the Griffin back.

"Hurt those," he said as he managed to topple the Griffon on his back.

"I care for," he said as he takes his cane out of the beak and pulls out the blade.

"The most!" he said as he sliced the Griffon's neck and killing it.

He then started to walk back to Amethyst and to her surprise, it was Nickel that saved her life.

"Are you alright, darling?" he asked as he lifted her up.

She didn't answer, instead, she hugged him for dear life while Nickel petted her to try and calm her down.

Suddenly, more Griffons landed in front of the Bullhead Bay and roared.

"Angel, Rhythm. Take Amethyst and got to the Bullheads. I'll take care of this," he said as he let go of amethyst and started walking towards the Grimms.

He lifted both his arms and multiple humanoid creatures appeared in front of him.

"Alright, everyone. Protect the students and kill of the Grimms and the robots!" he commanded as he, as well as the rest of his summons, ran towards the Grimms.
