Chapter 27 -Family Reunion-

"It's... about my brother, Chrome. I always said that I see you like a brother, correct? I'm not going to lie, for the longest time I though that you were my reincarnated brother, but when you explained about your past life's and the only thing that you always remembered was your last name, I was... disappointed with myself," he said.

"Why?" I asked curiously.

"Because I led myself believe that you were him. But... that was too good to be true," he said in a sad tone.

We stayed silent for a moment, and I started to remember something from a while ago.

"That's... not necessarily true, Nickel," I said to him, with a small smile.

"What are you talking about?" he asked curiously.

"You remember Malthael?" I asked him.

"Yeah, what about him?" he asked back.

"You probably won't like what I'm about to say next, but Malthael is actually Death," I explained to him.

The moment I said that, he turned pale.

"Don't worry. He won't steal your souls, but he owns me a favour. You see, Adam Taurus was on his hit list for a long time, but he wasn't aloud to kill him. That was, until Blake got blackmailed, and you guys came in. So... I might be able to pull some string to see your brother again," I explained with a smile.

"Y-you're kidding, right?" he asked in disbelieve.

"No, I'm not. Come. Let's go to our dorm. I'm sure that Rogue want to see his parents as well," I said, walking back to our dorm.

-Ten Minutes Later, God Realm, Heaven-

"Thank you for this, Death," I thanked him.

"It's the least I could do after we got Adam Taurus, Master Phoenix," he said as he bowed.

I look back to the two mortals that I brought with me, although Rogue is probably thinking that this is a dream.

"Alright you two, follow me," I said guiding, Nickel and Rogue through the floating islands.

"What is this place?" Rogue asked.

"This is Heaven. Just make sure that you don't fall off of the floating islands. Hell is literally straight below us," I warned them.

"So, everyone comes here when they die?" Nickel asked.

"No, everyone. Some people get reincarnated, while others get tortured for eternity. Now, stay here for a moment, I'll go and look to see where your families are," I explained as I spread my wings.

After a couple of minutes of searching around, I found the three individuals that I was looking for and returned to my friends.

"Alright, Nickel. Chrome is over there," I said as I pointed him towards a floating islands.

I guided Nickel to a floating island that's connected with a rope bridge and has a waterfall and a big willow tree on it. And against the tree, was a person that looked very similar to Nickel, but younger. He has the same brown hair, brown eyes, but unlike Nickel, he has no tattoo on his eye and has a kind smile.

"C-Chrome?" he asked, shaking a bit in disbelief.

The kid turns his head to face Nickel, but the moment he did, his eyes widened and tears started to form.

"N-Nickel?" the kid asked as he stands up and slowly makes his way towards him.

Once the two were close enough, they started sprinting and hugged each other for dear life.

"I... I'm sorry that you died. It's all my fault," Nickel said as he breaks down into tears, still hugging his brother.

"Big bro, it was never your fault," Chrome said as he tries to comfort Nickel.

While the two brothers has their heart warming reunion, I look back at Rogue, who had a melancholic smile on him.

"Follow me, Rogue," I said as I started to walk towards a different floating island.

This island looked similar to the previous one, but it has a cherry blossom tree on it and it petals was flying freely through the wind.

But Rogue noticed two figures on it, a man with short, back hair, a bit of a rough look similar to Qrow, but has a kind aura around him. Then there was the female next to him. She has long white hair, white fox ears and tail and wears a white kimono. Similar to the male, she has a kind aura around her.

I look over to Rogue again and saw that he has a shocked expression on his face, along with some tears forming.

"Go ahead, Rogue. Go and greet them," I said, gently pushing him towards them.

He slowly but surely started to make his way towards the cherry blossom. After some time, the two people on the island noticed someone walking towards them, and when they did, they were shocked to see Rogue, their own son, standing there.

"R-Rogue?" the father, Evander, asked in shock.

"Mom? Dad?" Rogue ask as tears are flowing freely now.

The entire family started to run towards each other and hugged each other for dear life.

"I though... that I never get to see you again!" said Rogue, between sobs.

"My little cub... My little boy is back," said Lilly, the mother.

A smile spread across my mask. I'm glad that my two team mates finally has some closure after all these though years.

'Death, do you think there is a way for my guests to maintain communication whenever they want?' I asked telepathically.

'Hmm. Maybe, but it might cost someone's life,' he responded.

'Another criminal?' I asked.

'More like a lap dog of someone... dangerous,' he explained.

'Alright. Let's see what I can do,' I responded as I look back to my team mates.

As time went on, everyone talked about what happened to each other, recollecting some memories, and finally, wished for them to enjoy their lifes. I'm truly am glad that they are able to see their lost family members again, but we soon needed to return to the mortal world. But before we return, I gave them something special. An Afterlife Amulet. This will allow them to talk with their deceits family, whenever they want.

-The Next Day-

It was quite an entertaining morning to say the least. Rogue legitimately though that it was a dream, so I had to explain to him that it wasn't.

After the chat with Rogue, Neo and I walked around Beacon for a bit, until I got a message from Ozpin on my Scroll.

'Meet me at my office,' he simply wrote.

I look at Neo with curiosity, and she simply shrugged. The both of us then started to walk towards the elevator and went to Ozpin's office.

'Do you have any idea why he wants to talk to you?' Neo signed with a curious expression on her face.

"I'm not sure, really," I told her.

Moments later, we arrived at Ozpin's Office.

"Greetings, Phoenix. And to you as well, Neo," Ozpin greeted us calmly.

"Greetings, Ozpin. What can I do for you?" I asked him.

"Straight to the point, are we? Well, that's fine with me. Phoenix, are you familiar with the story of the four maidens?" he asked.

"I am, my family explained to the actual story of it, and about something more important than that," I responded.

"So you're aware of the four relics. Good, because that's why I called you here," he said.

Now this got my curiosity. The four relics are a protected by the four academies around Remnant, so why does he want to talk about this?

"I want you to take the relic and keep it away from the mortal world."
