"The Bullhead is at the entrance of the city," said Rogue as we're reaching the edge of the city.

Once we're close, I had a feeling of being watched and I had a good idea who it could be.

"Ehm...give me a moment, alright? I need to do something," I said walking towards one of the building.

OnceI reached inside one of the ruined buildings, I started to look around. After about ten minutes I found her. I found Echo.

"Hello big girl," I said as I started petting the many heads of the small Hydra Grimms, about the size of a bike.

"So that's what you needed to do?" said a voice behind me.

I turn around and saw professor Port, Rogue and Nickel watching me pet the Grimm.

"Is that thing your pet?" Rogue asked.

"In a way, yes. She kind of finds me every once in a while and I take care of her," I explained.

"Huh, I always thought that the Grimm Hydras were a myth. I wouldn't believed it if it wasn't standing right in front of me. Mind if I try to pet her?" asked Nickel.

"You can try. She took a while to get used to me, so don't feel bad if she back off," I responded.

As soon as Nickel tried to pet one of the Hydra's heads, a couple of them snarled while the others whimpered in fear as the body started to move backwards.

"Told ya. She's quite shy, and only really trust me at time," I said.

"Is she trained?" asked Port.

"Somewhat. She's very passive to say the least," I responded.

"Why don't you take her with you?" asked Rogue.

"Is that allowed?" I asked in a confused manner.

"I'm fine with it," said Nickel.

"And I'm curious myself about this Grimm. So that's the vote of two teachers," said Port.

"I'm sorry, 'two' teachers?" I asked in a confused manner.

"Nickel is a professor of Mythology," said Rogue.

"He's a teacher?" I asked, now even more confused.

"You're not the first one to be surprised," he said with a smirk.

"You know what, I shouldn't ask questions where I don't want to know the answer off," I said.

"So, you're coming or what?" asked Port.

"Sure. Come on Echo," I said, signaling to the Hydra to follow me.

-Two Hours Later-

"Just step in the elevator and just go to the highest floor. Professor Ozpin will be waiting for you," Nickel explained.

"Alright, see you in a bit," I said as the elevator door closes.

I pushed the button that lead to the highest floor and soon, I felt the elevator move up. I look down and saw Echo leaning close to me, shivering in fear. I lean down and started petting her.

"Calm down, you're safe with me," I said, trying to calm her down.

Whenr we reached the top floor, it revealed a giant, glass room, revealing gears of all sizes and shapes. At the window, was a man with a dark green suit, light green scarf, small round glasses, he has short, white, messy hair. He's holding a cane in his left hand and a mug in his right hand.

"Ah, you must be (F/n). I see that you even brought a little friend with you," said the man.

"And you must be Ozpin. I was told that you wanted to meet me for some reason?" I said to him.

"And you are correct. I've heard that you are quite a skilled fighter and Professor Port and Senator mentioned that you took down a Goliath. With the help of Team Sylph, of course," he said with a smile.

He walks over to his desk and sits down on a chair that was made of gears.

"So, I want to ask a few questions," he taking a sip from his mug.

"From what I've been told, you grew up in the ruins of the city near Mountain Glenn. My question is, why?"

"Well...I first grew up in an orphanage. That place was a living Hell for me. Always bullied by the other kids and I was never chosen by the parents that came by. At one point, I decided to leave in the middle of the night and never turn back. That was the night I felt truly alive and free. I went to that destroyed city, because I wanted to be left alone by society and discover who I am and what I can do," Iresponded.

"Interesting answer. And do you know who you are?" Ozpin asked curiously.

"I don't know the full answer, but I know that I'm not easily defeated by Grimm," I responded.

"Alright. You mentioned that you grew up in an orphanage, I assume that you have no idea who your parents are, correct?" He asked.

"That's correct. The orphanage also never told me my last name, so I made one myself," I responded.

"That's a bit odd for an orphanage. What last name did you choose?" he asked curiously.

"Nephalem. I don't know why, but that name... kinda appeared in my head and stuck to me," I responded.

"Alright. I have one last thing to ask you, but this is more of a request," said Ozpin in a serious tone.

"Alright? And what would that be?" I asked curiously.

"I want you to join Beacon, but you'll under some... different circumstances that the regular students here," he responded.

"What kind of circumstances?" I asked, now even more curious than before.

"From what I've heard, you're skilled with different weapon types and can kill Grimms without any problems and, since you survived for years at Mountain Glemm, I think we could work more on those skill. And you'll be place in Team Sylph, so they can help you train with different aspects of your training,"

"Essencially,you want to make me a soldier, just not to the extend of Atlas. Am I correct?" I asked.

"That's correct. So, what do you say?" he said, waiting for my answer.

I started thinking, if I didn't accept then I would go back to the ruined city and continue fighting Grimm for fun, but if I do accept, I'll have a place to sleep, eat and fight Grimms for a good cause. I think the option was obvious.

"I'll accept, but under one condition," I said.

"And what would that be?" he asked.

"My pet, Echo, will be by my side," I responded.

"As long as it doesn't harm anybody, then it's fine with me," he said extending his hand to me.

I grab his hand and shook it, sealing our deal.

"Before you officially join Beacon, you'll have to perform a test of some sort," he explained.

"Alright, when will I perform this test?" I asked curiously.

"You'll do it tomorrow. For now, you'll probably want some rest. You'll resting in Team Sylph's dorm, I hope you don't mind," he said,walking towards the elevator.

"Alright. Where is this dorm?" I asked.

"Follow me, I'll guide you," he said.

-Team Sylph's Dorm-

The way here was... interesting to say the least. All the students that saw me and Echo gave us weird and scared looks, not that I blame them. According to Nickel and Port, Hydra Grimms were believe to be extincted, so finding one following me is understandable why theygame me weird looks.

"Herewe are," he said knocking on the door.

Momentslater, the door opened, revealing Rogue behind it.

"Greetings,Professor Ozpin. What can I do for you?" he asked, opening the doorcompletely.

"Greetings,Rogue. Is Professor Senator here as well?" Ozpin asked.

"Heis taking a shower. Is there something you need?" he said.

"Thereis actually. (F/n) will be staying here for tonight until he do atest tomorrow. Is that alright?" Ozpin explained.

"Ofcourse. That's no problem," he said with a smile.

"We'llcontact Nickel tomorrow to guide you to where the test will beperformed,"

"Understood,Ozpin," I said with a smile.

Andwith that, he left, leaving me alone with Rogue.
